I wish she had someone sitting next to her to hug her. I hope she knows all nurses stand with her.
Right?! Where was her attorney?? 👀 🙄
No. I do not stand with her. Not ALL nurses stand with her. That was gross negligence. What if that was your mom???
@@lauriediorio574 EVERY nurse....every single one of us in healthcare has at some point made an error. Stop acting all high and mighty.
@@annakat3754 an error yes. But I certainly haven't killed anyone from severe, gross negligence! Perhaps you have?? She didn't know what frikkin medication she injected into the ot. You want to back her up good for you. I am a pt advocate which it seems no one who supports this incompetent nurse is. I am not above mistakes but I sure hope I'm above homicide. It's sad you think not. Why don't you resign and do future pts a favor.
And where were other nurses to double check the medicine and dose? Besides her not ever looking at what med she was about to administer no one nurse double checked the med. So cry me a river.
Oh she does know.
God is good! I only wish someone could have been there to hug her. She was under a lot of stress.
Agreed! A nurse would do that for others. Fellow RN
Right?! Where was her attorney? 👀 🙄
NurseBee-my exact thoughts. She started shaking/ tried to hide it… but we get to a certain point that just a kind touch helps. Maybe not allowed?
@@darleneyager8807 Maybe you're right.
I was truly hoping the family would go up to here and they would embrace. For both sides sake. They are eternally connected.
Forgiveness at its finest. Honestly, from my perspective, people can have their opinions, but the fact that the victim would have forgiven her according to her family, & her family are able to forgive her so gracefully like that, and that it’s clear she’ll live with guilt for all her life & she truly understands what she’s done, I believe the right call was made in that court room.
I completely agree with you.
I agree also..I was used in a court case that I remember because I was high....
I wanted to go over and give her a hug… Hopefully this all gets removed from your record my beautiful sister
My heart goes out for this young lady and the family. But where is the responsibility on the hospital they were short staffed they had computer issues they didn’t have a scanner and in the radiology area and the wrong medication was given the nurse reported it immediately the hospital was supposed to but they didn’t. I am so thankful that this family was not blood hungry for this nurse that was mercy in action. I’ve been in healthcare for many many years and there have been many near Misses on errors due to staffing issues lack of equipment. This is just simply unacceptable no Nurse that makes an error and that reports it should be jailed and sentenced where is the responsibility for this hospital? It seems like the family and the court showed this nurse more mercy than the hospital that she worked for. This is so sad she’s gonna have to live with that for the rest of her life. This is what we call mercy and judgment. This case even though it’s so horrific in my heart goes out to the family is going to change the way that nurses Are treated in this country we will not tolerate this to be criminally charged and to be put in the situation Because when there’s lack of staffing and non-functional equipment or equipment that’s not available it leads to errors and this is case in point right here. Young lady know that there’s a big hug coming to you from Florida we’re praying for you and your family.
Responsibility on the hospital? Absolutely nowhere to be found. This is the case in the entire country.
I have worked in healthcare for many, many years too although non clinical, and this is perfectly said!! 💯 Percent!! The hospital should ABSOLUTELY take some responsibility, and accountability.
She had no clue about either med. Never give meds you know nothing about. 🎯
Please remember the Rights of Medication administration because it's the right thing to do for the patients sake and because the next nurse may not be so lucky.
I feel so bad for her and everything she's gone through
No you don’t. Be quiet
You mean the dead patient? Yes me too.
@@Melissa-in6un no I meant the nurse
@@greenman9123 I know who you meant. You're not right in the head if you don't feel bad for the family and the patient who was actually a victim .
@@Melissa-in6un did I ever say that?
My heart breaks for this lady. She has gone through hell, maybe now she can relax & possibly enjoy her life♥️
Hopefully she made enough on her 401k after they take her license lol
Yeah it's so great that she gets to enjoy her life but the lady she killed doesn't.
@@Melissa-in6un
She was 100% honest from the beginning, she has to live with the fact the patient died, and she struggles with that every day!
@@debijohnson6700 AS SHE SHOULD
Praise God!
im so so sorry to the family of the women who passed..💔
She’s been to hell and back. Good bless her! I’m glad she wasn’t given prison time. #IStandWithRaDonda.
She’s a freakin’ WARRIOR!! 💜❤️
🤣🤣🤣🤣 NO she's not.
Justice was not done. Not until everyone involved in this is tried and sentenced as usaul nurses take the heat but if you want to make examples then get everyone not just one i mean all involved
Justice was done for RaDonda, I agree the others involved in this should be tried in a court of law also✔️
I'm a nurse since 1985. I read comments that said because of this nurse's will be afraid to admit to errors and it'll be worse cause they will cover up their mistakes for fear of persecution? Well I hope that nurse quits all I can say I made errors and admitted it and I didn't cost someone s life but still mistakes are made I realize it's my fault I don't go on about short staffed or long hours I certainly wasn't paid alot right out of school but then again it's a job I love and I protected my license nurse's are always The last safety check before admistering the meds nurse's keep doctors from killing you it's been said but unfortunately it's The nurse's fault and it happens more often than this I agree it was preventable it was entirely her fault and that's a fact she will never be s nurse again never believe me that and all this exposure is going be pretty bad real bad and it should be but no jail time is mainly due to the fact the victim's family forgave her and that to me meant any further punishment would not be right jail time wouldn't change anything but like I said she will never be a nurse again never and if you're a nurse you would understand what I mean
Now go after Vanderbilt
Bless her ❤️ 😢
Prayer works!! she deserves another chance!!
Another chance to not look at the vial of medicine upon retrieving it, not looking at the vial and warning on top stating it was a paralytic drug as she reconstituted it, not staying with her patient to observe any adverse reaction, and killing another patient? WTF is okay with that? I am a nurse. The five rights of administering medication. Remember that from school???
@@lauriediorio574 I really pray that you are never a human being one day and make a mistake.
@@donitawhite8111 oh no. That was way more than a mistake. It was gross negligence. All you nurses out there must have some skeletons in the closet for y'all not to be able to use critical thinking in regards to this. I'm wondering how you would feel if the patient was your mother???????
@@lauriediorio574 your judgement is going to bite you in the ass someday . You've probably made a med error and not realized it already. Quit being so righteous.
@@lauriediorio574 she doesn’t get another chance to do any of those things because her license was already pulled. She has no means to make the same mistake again.
Hey guys i understand she made a mistake and we should be mad at the hospitals and the system but she still killed someone so let’s not kiss her ass.. like cmon
She's so exhausted. I hope she's given another chance at her license.
Lol .. yeah give her a license to kill. What a great idea.
I think she said she doesn't ever want to be a nurse again....I know a lot of people have changed career paths after this whole incident. Nurses are liable for so much and they have way too many patients at one time. It's a lot and I hope things will change for all healthcare workers moving forward, for the safety of everyone.
wrong!!!
You people are crazy
That's it, only 3 years probation for killing someone?!?! How about some prison/jail time?
I think it's because it was an accident, so she gets off easy.
@@menartd2618 I get that...but, when accidents are caused due to criminal negligence or malfeasance or recklessness where do we as society draw that line?
@@ucanon2662 I don't know, but I could also say that she got off easy due to her being a woman, but to be honest I don't know how to answer your question because I don't really know.
I encourage you to go to school and obtain your nursing degree. And go practice .. you will learn about how many errors occur in medical world, and how they are dealt with. And how nurses continue to be human beings.. where would any body be if all nurses said enough! I'm gonna go get a job pushing paper. Because the inhuman standards lay people have for nurses and medical professionals in general is crazy. Based on ignorance alone. Nobody goes to do that job thinking "I may kill someone today. Oh well! "
Go be part of the solution. It may open ur eyes.
@@WendyW7508 wow...thanks Captain Obvious! My comment is just that my comment not yours! That's my reaction to what would and how would I think if that happened to a family member NOT YOURS! Who's ignorant now?!?! Get over yourself! Apparently, your level of education is very low or they expected very low intelligence level to pass/graduate...you may want to ask for your money back because you got ripped off. Did you even at least get your G.E.D.?
Yt privilege strikes again
Shut up
Oh please! No nurse should ever be criminally liable for a medication error! This has nothing to do with race. Stop letting the media divide this country. The rich are winning. Your a weak minded sheep!
