Great quick video. I know it’s just a drill but at 02:15 the hand lands to the side. INJURY RISK: Sometimes in drills we focus on one area of the jump and forget to follow though with the rest. As an athlete and coach, I’m less concerned about loosing distance and more concerned with injury!!! When you try and CATCH YOURSELF using you arms it’s very common to injure your wrists!

Does this same principle apply to standing jumps? I do parkour. In parkour most jumps are from standing and I am struggling to gain decent distance.

Okay, putting your legs forward yes but falling on your butt after is a no, you have to fully lean forward after landing for a longer jump
