The red squares help calm the chaos of all the other colours, making this such a beautiful quilt 🥰 Wonderful idea 👏👏🇬🇧
What a terrific example of how tolerances vary. For some, this would be hopelessly belted-skelter and others would be thinking, makes perfect sense to me! You did what you set out to do: used up bunches of scraps, gave the quilt a sense of order with the red squares, had fun, and made a video to share. Bravo
I am amazed at your ability to keep those little squares in order when chain-piecing. This quilt is a “happy” quilt. Love your process.
I love the way your red waves /zig zags give the quilt focus. It is a gorgeous quilt.
I’ve watched for a while now and I have to say, your channel is one of my favorites. I love that you are so real and practical with your projects. Nothing seems staged or practiced like so many of the other channels out there. Your love of and appreciation for the art shines through. I’ve sewn and quilted for over 35 years and this is exactly the way I was taught by my Granny all those years ago, with the exception that she pieced by hand and sewed on a treadle machine 😊. Please keep up the beautiful work!!!
I love how you make your quilts. It seems no matter what you’re making it always goes together so nicely and turns out beautiful without being a complicated process. Wonderful to watch…
I think that The Lord just blessed you! You just SEW with such grace , freely and joyfully. You completely encourage me to try new things and work diligently!
One of things that's interesting & fun when watching a "scrappy quilt" in progress is how many fabrics I
I did a little experiment making this block and one was to make a block pressing at each step like we’ve been told is the “correct” way to insure precise piecing and one like Beth suggests pressing at the end…results are for me are that Beth’s method produced a nice square block without distortion every time…nice and crisp. I’m defiantly rethinking my processes…Thank you Beth
Love the red, Beth! I'm a big fan of a bit of red in any quilt. So glad to see it dancing in this quilt 😊
Love the red. It sets it off. Beautiful
That quilt is called "Postage Stamp". Love it.
Fantastic way to corral strips and pieces and add that cohesive red throughout the design. Very neat! Thanks so much for sharing this, Beth.
Wow. That is a ton of 2” squares. I like your addition of the red squares going through each 6 x 6 block. That gives your eyes somewhere to go. It looks good! Thanks for sharing.
What a great way to use scraps. The zig zag gives the quilt a nice cohesive look. Thanks
Oh Beth another gorgeous quilt 🤩🤩 And something to watch instead of the football 🤣🤣🤣 Thank you so much for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
I love quilts like that where you can use all kinds of scraps, thanks
Love the red chevron that calms the chaos!
I love your relaxed way of sewing even if you leave pressing out. It makes me feel there’s hope for me with sewing. I love to sew and make quilts. I prefer to use scraps, it seems to be more sensible to me and less wasteful. I’ve not been sewing very long I love using my vintage machines which I how I got into sewing at this time in life. I’m not really very good at it yet but I’m keeping going and your calm and beautiful clips encourage me very much. Thank you so much from Australia❤️❤️
My mother never pressed as she sewed. What you said does make a lot of sense when dealing with small scrap squares. Your quilt top is beautiful. I have no idea why I can't come up with something like this on my own. I think a red heart in the design would be nice also. Little girls love heart patterns in their quilt.
