Beth I almost gave up quilting because I thought i had to be perfect. In watching your no-nonsense videos I’ve learned so much about quilting. Thank you for sharing your talents. Really love your videos.
I began watching before I started quilting. I may not have begun if I had not seen her relaxed style. I watch others who press seams open and whose mitered corners are perfect. And I've learned a lot from all of them. But Beth gave me permission to relax and enjoy the process.
Only you shows us how to make beautiful quilts without starch/expensive templates, etc. Thank you so much. You make quilting for us 'regular folk' possible.
Move over Double Wedding Ring pattern...this would be wonderful for a wedding gift quilt. Who needs a pattern when you have Beth to figure it out for you? Lol. Thanks!
This block is beautiful. I always love you choice of fabrics, soft music and soft voice. You channel is my favorite. First thing I look for when I have time.
Mine too! You have totally changed my view on quilting and now it is actually fun and relaxing! I LOVE the fact not everything has to be so precise with pressing and searching before you can even make your first cut! Thank you!
You did an outstanding job on this block Beth. I do admire your skill and talent in being able to look at a pattern and change it up into something else that is just exquisite and all because you wanted to make this block available to everyone. It is just one more way that you are thoughtful in your approach to sewing and to others watching. Thank you Beth for sharing your own pattern with us. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow and I for one am excited to try this block.
Great (rather difficult) video. I wouldn't have dared to try it without you video. Now I might but only with you sitting next to me and my rewind button in tip top shape! Thanks so much!
I don’t know if I’ve ever watched any of your videos, before today. Thank you so much for sharing this block. I will definitely be back to watch again.
I plan to use it as a center piece to the flying geese inspired quilt I'm making. Thank you for your great instructions. I just need to complete the star points tomorrow.
Thank you again Beth! A few hiccups later but I got the block together. I am thrilled 😊. A Christmas version and I liked your blue and yellow so much I pulled fabric that I have been waiting for just the right project for. Thank you so much! Rosanne
Never heard of this block until today. It's stunning. Definitely on my "to make" list. Thank you for such a simple casual way of quilting. Blessings to you.
Beth so very glad I happened upon your quilt tutorials a few days ago. I have enjoyed watching you put together the quilt blocks I have seen so far. I was like you when I was your age. I have many many quilt books. I have a lot of sewing scraps I have been saving for a long time I am past 70 I thought I would be piecing till the end of my time lol I need some encouragement . I kind of lost a lot of my get up and go. A push forward I could use. Does anyone out there have any extra push? Maybe in the form of Prayers would be awesome!! God bless all you fine Quilter’s, I want to rejoin your numbers. My son’s house burned last fall and they lost all of their quilts made by her Mother’s she passed away last year so she can make no more! My Mother had made they some and l had also made them some. I must get it together and get at it again! Thank y’all for taking the time to read this 💝
I just discovered your channel and I love this table topper! I am a new quilter and this looks do-able for me. I appreciate your calm demeanor and the thorough tutorial. In a time when most quilt videos and classes make you feel like you have to end up with a “perfect” quilt, I almost gave up. I have some very old quilts from my grandmothers and my mom and I love and cherish them and they are not “perfect”.
I agree with Maureen Williamson, this is the best block yet and I absolutely love your method for the flying geese, I have never seen that one before! Thank you for your fabulous videos!
I saw an old scrappy quilt at an antique shop that I took a photo, thinking I could go home and figure out how to make the block. When I got home and studied the photo , “shoot wish I could sent to Beth”. I’m sure she could come up with a way to make it easy and in the “modern” way without pattern pieces❤I actually looked to see if you listed an email address, thought it never hurts to ask😂. Great job! (KH)
Thanks Beth for another great tutorial. As far as giving it a name (since it's a slight variation from the original), how about "Dizzy Geese Twist". Lol. Thanks again for sharing!
Really enjoy your videos. You don’t need to use crude language . I watch to learn new methods and patterns and you are very diverse. Thanks and many more to come.
I made a quilt called circling geese. I made the geese from a shirt that belonged to my son-in-laws daddy and the background from a dark blue, night time color, and it is beautiful!
Wow BEAUTIFUL JOB. I never realized how extensive and time consuming this block can be to complete. Maybe I’ll try it some snowy day when I’m trapped inside.
This was so fun to watch as you figured things out. What a beautiful quilt block! With LOTS if pieces 😁And thankyou so very much for sharing it all with us.🥰
That is one beautiful quilt block Beth xx you are so clever to work all the measurements out x It will make a wonderful quilt, thank you for sharing with us xx
Love this quilt block Beth. I have this book and need to pull it out and revisit! Thank you for sharing your process. Love the colors you chose. You make it look so EASY!!
WOW! I love the fabrics you chose for this block. I actually prefer your block to the original. The octagon shape looks more "dizzy" to me. Great, great video!

So very glad you have not given up quilting.
