Then no jackfruit tree?!!… try to plant at least 5 varieties of jackfruit. Must have varieties are 1. J33( sweetest of all known) 2. Siddu jack ( red jack) recommend by ICHR. 3. Thamara chakka( small jack max 1kg weight but taste great). 4. Sindoora Vaarika( double couloured flush with sweet taste). 5. Kari pala ( for cooking purpose) in English bread fruit. Another one jack variety is there. That is called wild jack. In Tamil அயினி பலா. I just planted one. Try to add this one too in your collection.
S. That confirmed. My neighbour planted two varieties of fig. now it’s giving fruit. I ate both. Elephant fig Creamy texture not sweet. In bottom of the tree fruits will came. But in country fig is entirely different. Fruits will came entire tree and not so creamy like elephant but more benefits than elephant one. If you want country fig means go to ISHA nursery. I also planted two varieties. Country one and elephant one. Afghan fig is sweet but for long term usage not suitable.
Add some apple trees. Like HRMN 99 and anna apple variety. It can withstand tropical areas. Add more citrus varieties too. Like bumblimass, naarthai. Try to add tree varieties too in your collection. That tree fruits are having more health benefits. Trees like இலுப்பை மரம், விளாம்பழம் மரம். You can see these trees in so many temples as தலைவிருச்சம்.
“சர்க்கரை ஆலை இல்லா ஊர்க்கு இலுப்பை வரமாகும்”. That illupai flower is having more sugar content. Fruits are like avocado fruit, very creamy and one big seed inside. That seed used for making oils. In our ancient times we used this oil for every sweet times. Now this oil cost more than we think.
