- Dragon Ball Sparking Zero had a demo recently and the amount of stuff that is being shown by other creators and people that got to go and record at the event is just adding to the hype of Dragon Ball Sparking.

Kaioken is a technique, which temporarily boost the users power, shown in the show itself. So by that logic it makes sense that Kaioken is a power up and not a transformation. Just like you said, Blue Evolution was Vegeta‘s answer to Kaioken, so the devs made it the power up technique for vegeta, probably to save space for more characters.
Evolution isn't a form exactly. He wasn't able to just turn it back on. It was a limited time power boost.

Goku was in and out of blue Kaioken. Vegeta was in evolution and only evolution.

SSBE is a transformation as seen in the anime. So yea, it needs to be a full transformation. Its a transformation same as Super Vegeta, stop the hate just because you don't like Vegeta.
just to remind you all. this was a demo of the game NOT a final version. version played was a 4 month old version of the game confirmed by multiple sources so everything is highly subject to change and could of already changed
This is a good thing to remind people sometimes. Cause I know there was a clip where the ground was clipping or the grass wasn’t fully rendered. And some were like “this better be fixed before it comes out” bro it’s not even the final build😅
@thegracefulrogue5923 im pretty sure since the game version they had access to the demo was 4 months old and the game itself wont release for another 4 months that the game will not only have near 0 bugs but also look a lot better. We will have to see how it turns out. Just make sure you turn up for the live stream in a couple days showcasing the online multiplayer for over an hour of gameplay!

@@frontwarph I'm as hype for this game as anyone else is, but you might be getting ahead of yourself to be expecting the game to have "near zero bugs" I mean would it be nice? Hell yeah. But your setting yourself for disappointment expecting the game to be basically damn near perfect on launch

If Super Vegeta is a character, Blue Evolution should be one too. On top of that, the form looks bad and doesn't last long enough. It's a strict timer that goes away instantly. His hair doesn't change, his build doesn't change, it's just the aura, which is lame.
Maybe they’ll update the look. For me personally especially when you consider the anime, Blue Evo was just kind of framed as Vegeta’s kaioken. I know it is its own form and that it is essentially super Vegeta but blue. But for this particular form It just doesn’t warrant much else than a temporary power up to me personally. However I do hope it is its own thing in the full game for those of you that want it. Cause I genuinely want people to get what they want from this game.
No, I *completely* agree on the Blue Evolution thing; as far as I'm concerned Vegeta is pushing his limits with that form, he's not really in it for _prolonged_ amounts of time at all, and I've always read it as powerful, but no super sustainable. _Just_ like Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken, and I think a lot of people just missed that somehow(?).
Frankly, to me it makes a lot of sense to be the way it is for a good handful of reasons, and I think it even emphasizes the "something special" aspect for the better by being a _burst_ of power ( ´◡‿◡`)✧

Honestly I really don't like that Hercule doesn't have a jet pack anymore, just doesn't make sense how he's floating like that
Yeah, it kind of bothers me. I really hope they add it in later or something because him just essentially super jumping and slowly descending to the ground doesn’t make sense to me. You could say he’s like that for the joke character aspect make it cartoonish or whatever but I prefer the jet pack.
True, but I think all the Flightless characters are like that. They're just doing what they had to make the characters _playable/good_ I guess ┐('～`;)┌

My problem with how they handled SSBE is that we now won’t be able to use him in the custom battle mode, so we can’t use him for our what-ifs.
We might not know that to be 100% true. Cause that means kaioken blue Goku couldn’t be used for custom battle mode either.
@@thegracefulrogue5923 Right, but the thing is that that is a boost that he switches on and off. Imagine if they did this with Super Perfect Cell, there’d be riots despite him looking the exact same and only having 2 moves in the show.

Probably not gonna happen. Theres a reason the characters your talking about never made any previous rosters. It's bc the vast majority don't care at all about those characters when there's way cooler ones around

Honestly, it’s more of a grade of Ssb the evolved version of blue , just like super saiyan, u have grade 1,2 and so on that are inbetween super saiyan 1 and 2 and 3 so it makes sense for it just to be a boost

Vegeta blue evolved being a temp power up makes sense mechanically for balancing purposes but it is kinda disapointing that its not its own form. They could've just made kaioken blue goku its own form as well 🤷🏻♂️
I feel like Kaioken blue in this game really does make the most sense being a temporary buff. That’s how Kaioken was in the old games.
@@thegracefulrogue5923 no I get that given Goku can't always maintain it even in the anime. But evo blue is an actual transformation. So i can see why ppl want it to be one in game but for balancing it just makes sense to have it as temp buff

@@thegracefulrogue5923 I would say though that in Xenoverse 2 it does make sense to have the two as transformations since with blue kaioken it drains health and evo blue drains stam which are both crucial to pvp/pve. Its not somthing they can do with Sparking Zero.
All in all im very excited for this game! I grew up with this series and im glad to see it back. I remember playing this with my brother and him saying pick any character you want and I'll beat your ass with Hercule and Videl. Yeeeaahh imagine fuckin Herudagon getting his ass handed to him by Hercule and Videl 🤣 he trolled the shit outa me.
I personally don't care for evolution, it's a super ugly form that the manga thought it was better off just making it blue with darker hair.
It seems they chose to go the manga iteration of the form with some anime flair than full on the anime iteration. I can see why people aren't happy about evolution not being its own thing, but for me I literally don't care and never even liked the form....
The only other form I dislike more literally comes from Vegeta's own son Trunks with that ugly ass ssj Rage form.
I am fine with it functioning like blue kaioken and it being the manga iteration, it seems they're actually going out their way in taking alot more things in the manga.
For those that do want it to be a separate slot I wish you'd be heard and that they might add evolution as its own thing. Just because I dislike it and don't care that much doesn't mean you wanting evolution to have a slot is invalid.
Solid take. I honestly don’t really acknowledge SSB Evo, not because I hate it or something but it just was a form I just didn’t care for. I honestly think the manga variation is the best route to go for the form as Vegeta never really had a kaioken type of power up so this does keep him in line with Goku in that way but that’s just my opinion

Yeah, because of that point I can see why some would Want that form in. I just don’t feel like it really stood out enough as a form to be more than the temporary buff anyway. Especially when you know Goku and Vegeta kind of mirror each other, the fact that Goku’s temporary power up is kaioken and Vegeta’s is SSB Evo kind of shows they see it in the same way but that’s just my two cents🤷🏾♂️

I hope they dont go down the DBX or DBFZ route of having each transformation for goku and vegeta taking up roster spots. They should just go back to how it used to be youd pick a character in base form and be able to power up and transform mid battle.. some goes for characters like Frieza as well, or basically any character known to transform. Itd also be cool if you could fuse mid fight like you could in Tenkaichi 3 but making fusions their own roster spot wouldnt bother me too much
You know that transformations taking up their own roster slot is exactly how transformations work in Budokai games and Sparking Zero, right? So, for example, Goku (Early) is 1 slot, Goku (Mid) is 1 more slot, Goku (Mid) (SSJ) is 1 more slot, Goku (End) is 1 more slot, Goku (End) SSJs 1, 2 and 3 are 3 more slots, Goku (Super) is 1 more slot, and so are each of his transformations. Unironically with just the Gokus from Z, Sparking Zero has already spent more character slots on Goku than either Xenoverse or FighterZ. Also, base Goku and Vegeta can transform mid battle, with the main reason why God, Blue in particular being their own slots being that they didn't exist as "normal" transformations when Xenoverse 1 came out in 2015, or when Xenoverse 2 came out in 2016. It's why, for example, SSG Vegeta actually feels like you grabbed base Vegeta, gave him a new basic moveset and actually transformed into SSG with him, since he was added post-SSG being a transformation your CaC could use (and sadly, after they stopped adding new presets to existing characters, with the last one being Goku Black Arc SSB Goku), and as such integrated the critical hit timing system they introduced in that transformation on his moveset.
@@ThatPHGuy maybe I was comparing to the wrong game but I strictly remember a DBZ fighting game where each version of a character (if there were multiple) were base forms, that could then transform mid fight into the forms available to them. Like choosing GT goku gave access to transform to anything up to SSJ4, and DBZ Goku could access all forms up to SSJ3 etc. even Frieza in the game I'm talking about started in first form and you had to transform through each form until final form 100% that's what they should do in sparking zero. It's just a way cooler concept. And the game was early PS3/Xbox 360, and late PS2/Xbox. If you know which one I'm talking about let me know
Well, yeah. They can transform mid fight. It's just that unlike base Goku and Vegeta in Xenoverse, for example, who can go up to SSJ3 and SSJ2 respectively (depending on the specific preset), every transformation in the Tenkaichi games and Sparking Zero still counts as 1 unique character slot out of the 164 launch roster size. So, for example, the launch roster of 164 characters in Sparking Zero features around 20 of those slots being Goku and Vegeta (not counting GT, since I don't know if it made the cut).

But just to clarify, we're going to be able to transform mid fight, but also if we wanted to we could just pick Goku/Vegeta in whatever form we want during character selection?. Also I took really hope GT made the cut, but I think the devs have said they are heavily focused on filling the roster with characters from Super
Yeah, since they're each their own character slot, you can start pretransformed in any form you want.
Anybody arguing against Blue Evo being it's own slot with it's own set of moves and animations clearly are new fans of this franchise, and have never or have BARELY played BT3. Like bro you don't even want to go there. Goku in his base form are all the same looking save for the logo on his GI and the shape of his face and the color for the GT variant. Not to mention, you could select the transformations if you didn't feel like doing them in game and this is another reason why it should be it's own slot. SSJ2 looks hardly any different from SSJ1 and yet no one is making that argument out of pure convenience.
Also buddy looking at you in the theatre was right lmao, I've been watching and reading the show and books for over 30 years. At no point in Goku's adult journey did he jump around like a dopey kpop star.

So I feel like Blue Evo just isn’t as justified for a slot compared to other forms. If it got its own slot I wouldn’t be upset at it but I wouldn’t feel indifferent about it if it didn’t happen. Blue EVO really is Vegeta’s Kaioken at least in my eyes. Plus while yes there’s not much difference of ssj to ssj2 (Only one with a drastic shift in those forms was teen Gohan) those were the classic forms of the characters and only makes sense they are their own individual forms. In this case though gameplay wise they went with the SSB Evo being akin to a temporary power up like kaioken which is more in line with the manga variant of it. SSB Evo can be its own form as it’s essentially Super Vegeta but Blue, just not the route they went with.
Also, Goku jumping like that is cool because that is a similar thing that some boxers do before a fight or next round to calm the nerves before a fight. Was it something he’s ever done until that point? No. But it was cool cause it showcased his excitement to fight Broly.
The character models look as good as the ones in Burst Limit and the combat looks paused like in Sparking Neo and not frenetic enough like in Sparking Meteor, even the colors look oddly pale. Idk about you but this game for the time it took to be announced and the amount of content it has, it's clearly not delivering much.
I kind of disagree I think the game looks pretty good especially for this not even being the latest build of the game. Saying they look as good as burst limit models is a wild take not going to lie. Some areas the color could use some work I guess but that will most likely be fixed in the final build.

So maybe this is a weird way to put it but I would say super Vegeta is kind of in a different camp because at the time in the series that was something brand new and elevated ssj and had a solid narrative impact in a sense. Vegeta Blue Evo just feels like what’s been done before but blue and even the way it was framed in the manga or anime versions it just comes off as his answer to kaioken. But I understand why it can or should be a whole new form on its own he definitely maintained it longer in the anime.
But me personally I feel like the temporary power up is better. If we got another form of Vegeta that’s fully playable I rather just have Ultra Ego which I doubt we will be getting anytime soon.

I dont really care about the transformation to begin with. He gets a little more blue i guess. Its kinda the same issue alot of ssj2 forms have. Teen gohans looks great cause its actually a drastically different hair design and everything but so many other people your like im not sure if what im seeing is even ssj2 or not. In the brolys second coming movie its been speculated forever wether gohan even used ssj2 cause without the bits of lightning around them you cant really tell. Ssj2 has always for the majority of characters that can use it kinda just been a big filler form between other bigger things. I see blue evolution as the same type of thing. The guy gets a little more blue and im supposed to pretend he just did a super saiyan 3 level design change to warrant all this respect to the form? Making it a temporary mid match power up rather than a full unique form isnt something im gonna bother complaining about. If anything im happy about it cause thats work they can put in to include another separate character instead of wasting more time than needed on a form that doesnt really do much anyway. Its absolutely perfect for gokus kaioken too cause i dont even want to be able to spam it it SHOULD be a temporary thing.

Another solid take that I’ve seen in the comments. That’s pretty much how I see the form as well maybe my fault for not conveying that in the video correctly. But yeah I agree I really never seen SSB Evo like some ssj3 or something equally drastic of a form. Even back then I was like oh so this is basically his kaioken equivalent.
And yes when it comes to SSJ 2 I’ve said this myself a few times, it only ever worked with Teen Gohan. Everyone else if the lightning wasn’t there you wouldn’t know the difference some can argue they know but it’s such a minuscule difference that you might as well say they’re just in regular ssj.

It’s more then darker blue lol it’s a whole new form. If what you say is the case then why not make garde 2 ssj vegeta a boost or majin vegeta a boost. If they did that we would have more character space but they don’t and he’s on the cover so just give us that as a full transformation
It’s a new form sure but the form isn’t really enough to warrant it being a whole new form by itself. It really is in the camp where it’s just a way for Vegeta to have an answer to SSB kaioken. Also, majin Vegeta could very well be a temporary power up too. It was a thing in Budokai 3 I believe where when health was low you could use Majin form.
I mean in defense of blue evolution i don’t want it just for a different hair color (even if that is literally all the saiyan forms but aight) but for the different moveset, like him having final explosion so vegeta blue could have a strike ultimate ( like his beatdown on goku black) since he doesn’t have any rush skills at the moment.
Also in the tournament of power he stays in that form for literal EPISODES. From fighting Jiren with goku to beating Toppo. It just isn’t logical to make it a fast burst like kaioken.
Also being honest now I just want that character slot so people can mod it and replace it with ultra ego 😭
Blue evo was a technique only in the manga but in the anime it was a form with bulky muscles dark hair and pupils so he deserves a slot taking blue evo from vegita is taking away his only oconic fight in db super Imo this is a fumble for the game
Going by ur logic full power jiren and UI goku don't deserve a slot as they don't change much and how are they gonna give Chiaotzu and kakuntsa a slot even though they didn't do anything and no one asked for them this is a big fumble

I wouldn’t say it’s a fumble for the game. I understand why people want blue evo but how I’ve always seen the form is it’s his answer to kaioken. Especially gameplay wise that Goku blue’s temporary power up is Kaioken so considering how Goku and Vegeta always mirror each other to an extent. It makes sense that for Vegeta’s temporary power up it’s Blue Evo but that’s just me. I do hope the people that want it as an individual form get what they want.

imma be honest, the game looks a little janky/slower compared to bt3 (at least the attacks look like it). Doesn't seem to have fluent combo animations in my opinion
It’s not the final build keep that in mind. I’ve seen some clips with the grass or a part of the stage not rendering.
