I just found one in some change that was in the bottom of a bag that I had sitting around for years after cleaning out my car. I hadn't ever seen one before. I looks like about a MS66 at least. Still almost new (red) looking save for a bit of tarnish on the obverse.

I did find the 2009 log cabin and the young Lincoln in my regular pocket change! Both are in very good condition. Glad I caught it before I spent them!
I'm in Canada, and just came across the birthplace coin looking at my change from a visit to the US in 2009 (so it was newly minted and then out of circulation because of me lol).
I wind up doing the same exact thing I'm glad I caught them to plus I have some more different coins gold and silver

I have the one of Lincoln standing with his hand out, it’s in ok condition. I’m not a collector but it doesn’t have a mint mark, is this worth anything and how do I sell it
a little late but its prob worth maybe 50 cents-5 bucks. not much, but at least 50x its normal value.

I am always on the lookout for 2009's when I coin roll hunt and as you said, they are particularly hard to find, as are all 2009 coins. I currently have 50 pounds of pennies to go through so hopefully there will be some 2009's and some other goodies hiding in that batch. Thanks for the video. See ya in the next one.

So close, I almost have a regular complete set of 2009 pennies and a almost complete set of mint set of 2009. For the regular 2009, I just need Lincoln sitting on a log to be complete and the presidency mint to complete both sets
I have all 4 of these in rolls still sealed in the mint box plus the new 2010 design.
I found a 2009 Lincoln no mint Mark in a box of pennies. It is light pink and has a few water drop stains on it. I love your videos. I also have, have the 209 Lincoln formative years with the cut in Lincoln's leg. Again, I thank you for videos. You are always direct and to the point. I was going through all my coins to put them in rolls, and I look at them all to see if I get any special coins. Last time I did this, I found a wheat penny and a canadian penny. This time, I found a canadian quarter, a lincoln birthplace penny, and, somehow, a 50 cent coin from Honduras. About $130 worth of coins total, so that was fun.

J&B We went to our first coin show last month and was getting ready to leave and we went past the last dealer. He had rolls of all four varieties from P&D mints. We bought them for a good price. We have not gone through them yet. But they are so beautiful. And thanks for the videos they all are so informative.

I would like to know more about the grade quality, because 2009 pennies are still fairly easy to find. Before starting college I was a drive-thru cashier for McD's and would literally accumulate 20-50 of these per shift, usually from both P and D mints. I probably have a few hundred that I saved. How would I know which are high grade?
Ones that look new and no scratches.

I've been saving change for a few years and noticed I had quite a bit of pennies (around 800). So I separated them by year (because I had nothing better to do) only to find I only had 1 2009 penny which I thought was really odd. Now I know why!

Hey I found two of these in my coins jar. One is a closed up and one is a bit father out on the images. The ones that was sold are they the ones with the image being the closest or out more?
Question.. I’ve seen your videos and others about the high value of these pennies and other coins and I have them that are uncirculated perfect condition and I went into two different coin shops and they won’t even look at what I have after I tell them what I have and they say they aren’t worth anything?? So I’m confused
Coin roll hunting is fun and collecting is what does it for me. Just realize they minted over a billion total of these from each mint that year.
Me and and my friends on the wrestling team will often time find our self's looking through 6 to 8 boxes of pennies before dual days (to calm down nerves). but we've found 3 sets of of 2009 Penney's in near perfect conditions and entire sandwich bag of 2009 pennies.

I found the log cabin one at work today. Swapped it out. Not great condition, but thought it was a cool find.
It is a great find, just ask any body, way to go.
I bought 5 rolls for each variety back when they first came out. I've only opened 1 roll of each. A lot of good looking Lincolns. Still trying to decide if I should open them all or leave them in the rolls.
For sure,not easy decision!
If it were me I would leave them in the rolls until I was ready to send them out for grading but that would cost a small fortune to have 5 rolls graded. Good Luck.

do you buy any collectors books for quarters dimes or nickels and penies
um ok so there not in great condition there in such a remarkable condition it is very difficult to find. and, the few thousand dollar ones have a low mintage (how many were made) only 300 or so million have been made of the 2000$ ones, and they are very difficult to find in that condition. basically, only about 1000 pennies in the whole world are you gonna fiind in that good condition. edit: they also can be extremely difficult to find in change, my best one and ive been collecting for years is prob maybe 500$ best.

About how much would you estimate the value of the whole set uncirculated?
I just sent in all 4 to NGC to be graded. They’re uncirculated from a 4 coin set I got back in 2009. Mine are all 2009 Denver coins and absolutely flawless. And mine are not proof coins. These are MS 67 or higher business strikes.

Question?? I've a 2009 Lincoln on a log but no mint marks just has vob front bottom right and clv back bottom left..any clue why no mint???
The absence of a mint mark means that the coin was made in Philadelphia. The only year the Philadelphia mint put a "P" on its Lincoln cents is 2017, in honor of the 225th year of U. S. coinage. 🙂

I snagged a record of 18 2009s in a single coin roll so far. Yes I keep records. Albeit they were all Philadelphia " Birthplace " but they were all MS. The other recent roll had 12 of them at work and another at 9 in the roll. All Birthplace Philadelphia but not complaining. They're all in flips now. I have a beautiful Birthplace toner.
