Good food, but there's nothing Filipino here except the Navarro guy, which is unfortunate, because Filipino food is Amazing!..A Pinoy Banmi version would probably be a crusty Pan de Sal (Filipino bread)..with shreds of savory Pork Adobo, goats cheese, pickled papaya relish and fried plantains on the side..I wish Mr Navarro would look more into his culinary heritage, because there is so much more deliciousness to discover and explore..🤔
what a stuck up u turned out to be... food is a never ending endeavour. it may differ from the original but that's the beauty of food you add some twist and it's a new course meal you forgot the beauty of it. just let them be man everybody has his or her own style and that's the good thing about food. you think who cooks sisig in California mixed with Mexican is original filipino food? u accept others but you discredit some as well... be diverse my guy and somehow our food is kicking off other countries and culture don't be a stuck up, accept some change here and there, psshh you'll never know if a arabic, mexican, filipino style food is own the way.
@@cielotamondong4240 I don’t think he was trying to be stuck up. The show said Filipino flare but the food shown on air did not show Filipino-inspired food. Banh mi is Vietnamese and that dip is more English-inspired. I do not get why the video title said Filipino flare when I have not really seen it.
Banh Mi ?.. Vietnamese ancestors turning in their graves … no pate … no coriander…. Beans ?? What tha …. Definitely not Banh mi . Think they should rename bacon dip to steak and Guinness pie . 😂
Saying a Filipino flare but says daikon which is Japanese Bánh mì which is Vietnamese😭 as a Filipino Japanese i felt so offended like WTF 😭 I AM SO OFFENDED😭😭😭😭
Yeah but remember after that he went on to showcase a "chef" that quite obviously doesn't know the basics of cooking. Take everything on this channel with a few thousand grains of salt.
Their current menu has the lumpia and the Asian Hangover...so...one and a half dishes are Filipino? Not even hating on them, just the description on the video lol
Sorry for not being sorry to those who published this. Should have said "Asian" flare with English home cooking. No disrespect to the owners, not a single "Pinoy" heritage can be seen on those food. Good food is good food, and those customers were definitely enjoying themselves, but don't label a thing for what it is not because it adds up to the idiocy of the mass. This is such a bold claim for Food Network with no proper understanding of what their subject is.

Not sure if this is a click-bait type of thing, but nothing shown in the video was Filipino except the owner. 😂😂😂😂
The husband for sure does not have Philippine passport. His parents...probably.
Totally Agree! Its a clickbait

the filipino flare is the husband, not the food per say. 😅
p. s. guy's right. the lady owner's work, demeanour and voice is as calming as ina's.
Lol, true. Was waiting for some sort of adobo-inspired dish 🤣
If I'm not wrong that girl is reading YGO 5DS. Weird they showed a Vietnamese dish rather than Filipino though.
the only Filipino thing they showed is heritage rather than cuisine :(
