Totally agree. I hate how every other yugituber edits their videos like they're making tiktoks with the sole purpose of retaining views from small children.
my favorite kind of ygo content is unscripted (non-interview) deck profiles that are essentially just some dude yapping about a deck, and MBT's skills as an orator are absolutely perfect for this format. its a shame these types of videos aren't in demand bc to me this is the peak of yugitube
I was really hoping she'd be more of a generic splash when she came out, with interesting interactions for different brews. Instead she became a generic 'full snake eyes combo' pathway.
That Droll tech is peak. Why just play around Purulia when you can play around Purulia AND Droll your opponent!!! It gives you every tactical advantage I could possibly think of.
I agree this is the best format we've had in a while. And tbh even if you don't have fuwalos I think you have options. A lot of budget decks that just inherently play around it.
I know this video is two weeks old but i really enjoyed the slow methodical technicial explaination of the deck. this has been far in a way the most digestable and understandable deck profile ive seen in a while from any channel. please do more if you ever have time
Well hey you know what, it still takes a shit ton of skill to pilot *someone else's list* to a 2nd place regional finish. I think you should be very proud of that, and I don't like the negative talk! Congrats Joseph.
I've done the main droll tech in MD, but only in decks that don't really care about playing under it so they can hit the opponent after the first maxx c draw
I just played at the CSG Hollywood regional, and was win away from top 16 with goblin bikers. It was an unfortunate last round in which like all the other rounds I lost the die roll, but this round my opp was on Adventure, Horus, Azamina, Phantom knights, a 60 card pile and happened to open called by game 1 and 3, in which game 3 time was called and we were both at 8k and he started having a fit and at the judge because he didnt want a draw. I thought it was over and packed up and got a game loss.
im gonna be honest these should be more frequent. hearing you talk more calm and collected makes me so happy i dont know why but im sure a lot of you will agree with me on this
Joseph, I've been back to playing yugioh for 3 years, 2 of them i've been watching you. How come this is the first time I hear about the online tournament scene?? Like that is great news but I would've loved to know sooner? Its a great insentive to play these instead of MD, thank you anyway
I totally get looking for dumb solutions to the mulcharmies, I picked up melodious recently (who struggles HARD against fuwaross) because I thought "wait this deck has 10 outs to the mumcharmies! It has herald, ash, called by and dominus purge!" That's it I've found a budget deck that can work in this format! Then I went to the omega ladder and I was having a grand old time ashing and heralding mulcharmies, until one game I opened purge and after the opponent went "activate fuwaross" and it just didn't let me activate purge... Then I read purge again and realized my mistake in thinking this was a weird mesh of ash and imperm, and not its own thing...
Thrust is for when you get shiftered or mulcharmied going first post side . D Barrier for tenpai since they will use either one or both . And DDG is for the mirror match or gy dependent decks
i honestly dont see the need for molcharmy cards if you wanna win. i see its strength, ita value, is power. but honestly, if you cant afford it, play toxic decks that are cheap. play flunder, runick stun (with format specidic chabges), play branded with ido instead of puppet, play necroface mill (any deck with 15 or less spells always deck out). decks that hard counter the format that are cheap.
So hear me out, if you’re gonna buy American, in terms of reliability Buick was ranked JUST below Toyota this past year. Got an Envista for my first new car and it has been an absolute joy to drive, love this car
Mbt could you guide a lost soul (me) on how to combo with this deck like a spreadsheet, article or video? How did you learn? I came back to yugioh like last month and can't still for the life of me learn this deck. I learned yubel, centurion and tenpai but snake-eyes still stump me
Ford: found on road dead. As much as I hate car guys it makes sense and when told by my cousin, who’s a master craft diesel mechanic, never buy American cars. Toyota, Hyundai, and Subaru are the go tos
I’ve been back and forth on droll alot this format do you think maindecking it would’ve been better overall? Or would it still have been just as dogass in most situations where you would’ve drawn it either in the opener or off the fuwalos?
So you can’t play the TCG because of the cost? Well boy howdy do you know that elestrals is getting a simulator beta soon if you contribute to the kickstarter?
Because you make moon into rec into lacrima, lacrima dump engraver, use engraver to shuffle whatever to summon, make sequence, then you can make desirae. Any 2 monsters on field converts to desirae and you dont need to play any other of the other cards like lurrie or tract.
It feels so bad to draw engraver without tract and lacrima competes for the normal if drawn, I don't really understand why make the potential extenders into garnets
@@apollyon1311 Because you're either playing 2-3 engraver, tract, lurrie, lacrima all to make desirae, or you could play just the two cards and still make desirae. I've seen some combos where they actually get both tract effects off which maybe you could then make the case, but I don't think it's really worth it. You're freeing up 4 spots in your deck to accomplish virtually the same goal.
my counterpoint to the 'play online' thing is like, yes that is a solution to the problem of not being able to afford to play in the most immediately literal sense. but there are players who just dont enjoy playing online for whatever reason. personally i find playing endless games online (or online tournaments) to not feel very gratifying, as there is a genuine difference between starting a computer and being in person with other people in the room. i think there is more to the problem than the immediate ability to play the cards when considering affordability
i sympathize with you on this - there's a certain joy to playing irl that just isn't captured by online play, but i think at some point you have to make concessions in exchange for possibly saving hundreds of dollars that you'd have to spend on cards. to contextualize this: a frozen dinner may not taste as good as food in a nice restaurant, but it's certainly more accessible.
you also still need to own the cards for remote duels it is basically just skype duels but official so it isn't more affordable. I do prefer actually talking with my opponent.
I love how calm he speaks when its a chill Video without Stream or many cuts. Its really pleasant to listen to.
It’s painful because this video might not do as well, but it’s arguably better content

For the Fiendsmith engine I like running Sanct since it's a fine draw but it also turns engraver from a brick to a card that actually does something.
