While your mopping up these razor back hogs. They are breeding more to replace the ones you have gotten rid of here in Brushy Prarie lndiana where they breed them for southern hunters
So you will never win this battle of eliminating all these hogs. This farm has thousands of razor back hogs & yep they are all shipped down south
The Amish are the ones running this breeding farm. This farm has been doing this 40+ years now.

I ordered LMNT after watching Mr. Yawt give one of THE best presentations about it as far as a sponsor goes. The very love of my life (…my grandcritter Boogie 👈🏼) plays a LOT of b-ball and was drinking some sports drinks that I thought were kinda rough on a kid’s system. So now it’s LMNT and not ONLY does it keep him hydrated but he actually likes the taste better than the bottled stuff. Plus it’s more convenient as opposed to carrying 3-4 bottles around…( and TRUST me y’all, he needs all the strength he can get if he’s gonna not ONLY become a world renowned neurosurgeon PLUS an NBA superstar…DARN IT I ADORE THAT CHILD!🤭)

Keep a piece of a 4 x 4 post in that trailer. When you get a flat . Roll the good tire up on the block/post. Flat tire will be off the ground and can change it without a jack!

David, I am a retired veterinarian and I wanted to respond to your open question about can dogs eat pork?”. From practical experience of 50 years and also my own research, I say that it shouldn’t be a problem. A lot of the bad things we all hear about pork is false. The only certain problem is pork must be cooked well to stop any possible infection with a worm called Trichinella. It is dangerous for animal or human if you ate it raw. The other factor is the spices, chemicals and preservatives that are in commercial pork. You would have to mix the pork with other foods to make it a balanced diet, but it really is just another source of protein. I hear that people use it at zoos and other animal facilities. Better than have it go to waste. If you wanted to create a dog food, you would have to have the carcass processed by a meat packing facility. I enjoy your videos a lot and I think you provide a great service by getting rid of the wild hogs. They are so destructive to the land. Thanks.(obviously, I’m not an expert, just my personal opinion).

Couple things,, First, your dedication is inspiring. For the winch situation, Get together with Red, Tell him what you need, stand back and Pay him to put together the best package for you. He knows what, and how, your work needs. Let him help you.
Second, someone commented about the lift for changing trailer tires, get one for every trailer.. No jack needed, cheap and light weight. A piece of 4x4 works too. I like the shorter videos, works with my schedule better, But.... you put out what works best for Yawt, Thats the whole point, Right?

Another great video today! As far as pork for dog food goes, this is what the ol' Google machine says: "Processed pork varieties, like bacon, can contain high salt and fat levels, meaning they're not particularly healthy and are better left entirely off any doggy menu. In contrast, leaner cuts of pork, such as pork loin, are positively suitable for dogs and very nutritious."

    • @lovelymangos2518
      @lovelymangos2518 3 місяці тому +2

Fresh leaner cuts of pork. Shouldn't be more than 10% of the meal. I mix our dogs food with fresh vegtables and some fruits. I always cook any meats esp. Pork and chixn to prevent worms etc. No "processed" bacon or ham due to salt & nitrates. Plus our GShep is picky and doesn't like bacon pieces even as a treat. 😂

Just a thought on the winch. How about a universal mount for a winch on your trailers. Then get a larger winch for the trailer. That way there you still have the winch on the CanAm and have the larger one attached to a trailer. Then you can move the winch to another trailer as you need it. And power the larger winch from the truck or the CanAM. Again just a thought.

Hey David, I like your idea about the dog food and his suggestion is that you follow the path of Paul Newman. By creating a not-for-profit business for community work projects to be carried out. First locally regionally any successful nationally Danny Thomas did OK with the Saint Jude hospital for children. Of course you can pay yourself a salary and show that your efforts are being supportive and managed.
Just a suggestion for your birthday gift from me to you. Quite frankly, I think you’re capable of doing it.

A Camco trailer aid makes lifting a tire to change it on a tandem axel trailer a breeze. Drive your good tire up on the aid and it lifts the flat tire to change it. I used to pull a big 5th wheel camper, no telling how many blown tires I changed using that kind of aid. I also carried a battery powered impact wrench which worked like a charm.

    • @johnie9497

Also just having some simple 2x6 scraps and maybe a 4x4 or 2 with beveled edges to drive on with the good tire to get that flat in the air. Worked for me many a time with a load on a trailer or an RV.

Hey, Brother, this is what I know about winches; they are rated based on the FIRST layer on the spool. As the cable piles up on the spool it effectively changes the gear ratio, reducing torque while increasing speed. You may want to try a synthetic cable that is smaller in diameter and/or shortening the cable length to the minimum you think you might need. Either one will get you pulling closer to the spool, maximizing torque. Great episode, great show!

i know this idea wont happen but i have to tell you.if you have a arm on the trailer that tips up and over so you can hoist the pigs up and on the trailor without you picking them up it would help the heavy load.and use it to pick up the pen

Regarding wild pork as dog food, I don't really know, but the nearest thing I can think of is that warthogs are a favourite prey of many African predators, feline, canine and in-betweenine. Much less fat than domesticated piggy-piglings. However, your local friendly veterinarian would be the guy or guyess to ask.

You need more battery, preferably a separate dedicated Deep Cycle and if possible, with a connection to the truck charging system so it can charge and maintain it driving down the road. I doubt the charging system on the Can Am is designed to handle it. A larger winch is geared different for heavier loads, so the battery drain may be less and may make a difference but you still have to worry about the strength of the mounting points.

David when I worked in the Hog kill, all the guts and bones, and downers hogs went to the rendering works to make meat and bone meal to make dog food.
Most all dog food is made out of Pork Beef, Chicken, Turkey, lamb, Fish and cereal grains.
So yes hog is good for Dog food.
The company that made the fresh dog food sold in the refrig and freezer section of the stores is made out of Pork lungs and beef lungs. because in the pack we filled 55 gallon plastic barrels for the fresh dog food manufacturer.

Use grade 8 bolts and It would depend on charging output on Can Am but an 8274 Warn winch would work wonders for you.
I ran a dead animal route for a few years picking up cattle and hogs from farms.
That Warn winch is practically bullet proof and rated at 8000 lb.
I could load 1200 lb holstein cow all day long .
Ol Red might need to beef up the front of your trailer a little to keep from damaging it from pulling to hard against it .
They are expensive to buy I know that for sure But they do what you need !

I uses to be a small engine mechanic it would drain the battery so long as the motor is running. What i would recommend it a block and tackle and double it back to the trailer and you increase you wrenching power by double.

Yes and sweet potatoes, pumpkin, carrots and pees are also good for dogs. You need a freeze right freeze dryer add warm water and serve. Doesn’t have all that junk in it.

A can of fix a flat comes in handy. With as many flat tires as you get, I'd suggest a case.😂
