Your collection should definitely be one of the seven wonders of the technological world.
ReneM elo Anyone with money can have the collection so it's not a feat or wonder .
But would you have the patience and dedication to put it all together like this? There are some qualities money can't buy and Joel has plenty of them.
There is serious dedication to detail involved, money is crucial but his passion is a big difference.

I had to laugh at that comment about gaming from 10am until 4am the next morning. When I was younger, I would have my cousin over and we would be stuck in front of the TV for as long as we could be. I recall one specific time that we played Secret of Mana from Friday night until Sunday morning. I miss those days.

I had a sleep over my mate Paul's house during the school holidays back in the day and his mum bought us a takeaway and a whole bunch of snacks/pops, and we stayed up until 4am trying to complete Mega Man 2. Good times.
Nine hours of Metroid without dying... dog bumps into the power adapter... good times.

"You have no idea how hardcore I can be." Well, yeah I think maybe some of us have been tipped off over the past year watching your videos my friend haha. Amazing setup Joel, the attention to detail is certainly appreciated. I've wanted to turn my second bedroom/storage room into a gaming space but then I'd spend all my time locked away in one room! Some day perhaps but it would need the floor space for room scale VR. Just bought into that with the Oculus Rift and it's so immersive. Love the channel, cheers!

I was pleased to see a PC in the collection too. About half way through I was getting a bit concerned there wouldn't be one. I was digging all the retro and modern consoles but my concerns were put to rest. You can tell his real passion is with the consoles though.
Absolutely unreal, saying it's by far the best game room I've ever seen doesn't do it justice. It's not just that it's cost a lot of money but you can really tell the time and love put into it is unmatched by anyone else in this hobby.
The only possible thing I could think of to slightly improve things would be to put some black foam (or something similar) at the back of the console cabinets to help disguise the wires.

Finally the ultimate Playroom tour is here! Really the room is very warm & comfortable to the eyes. Glad to see everything is setup & running, and I'm sure minor changes will keep on happening. How about putting some signs outside the door, like 'Hardcore gaming zone' or 'Warning gaming in progress' something like those will look cool. The starts add such a nice effect & I'm sure gaming at night will be a unique experience. Amazing!

Love the Shadow of the beast music in the background when you were talking about the Amiga. Joel you could put a wall shelf near the TV to incorporate the Amstrad 464 but i am sure you have gone over the design of the room numerous times. Amazing play room and Amazing video as usual :)

Glad to finally see the finished product. The room is awesome man, it came out really well. I'd live in there too if it were my room, lol. Now that you're done, do you want to come and organise mine? Haha. ;) You would think that would be easy since I don't have anywhere near the amount of stuff you do, but yeah I still struggle with my humble setup. But that's because I have to contain it all to my bedroom until I can move again hopefully sometime next year.
Anyway, glad to see the simulators have their own little section. If I were one of the friends you mentioned who visited, I'd just be on those all day. I like the blue for the wall behind them, as well, but when you were talking about not knowing what to paint it the thought that came to my mind immediately was a chequered flag, because that's your little racing corner. However I suspect the black and white wouldn't go well with the rest of the room. The blue does. It looks great.
Finally, it's nice to see someone else who cares about magazines. Everyone says print is dead and yet I love it every single time a magazine arrives in the mail. EDGE, Game Informer, whatever. It's still a small thrill and has been ever since I was a kid. I hope they never go away. :)

I always wanted cabinets for my consoles like yours where they are displayed and have lights on them. Looks very clean and neat. Wondered if I should build some myself or order ones that I can work with like you did.
I agree with the Castlevania: SOTN poster. It would look awesome. Also digging that Gradius poster. Always loved that artwork!
I am VERY impressed with the BlauPunkt, god damn. Even through compressed video, it looks great!
Edit: with such a sick set up, I think the only thing that needs an upgrade is that keyboard. That's my opinion though, don't matter xD

This is Silicon Heaven ! I had my Spectrum in 1983 and still game to this today... to be able to play Head over Heels on spectrum, treasure island dizzy on Amiga right through to Last of Us and Monster World on Ps4 in one room! Amazing clean tidy and put together well... all to be played under the stars as well ! Thank you for sharing this 🕹

Joël the Black counter tops are just right. They make a prefect contrast with the white and divide the top and bottom of the room perfectly.
Amazing setup Joel. A lot of people these days have their consoles modified with HDMI on HD TV's, but you can't beat the look and feel of playing on decent CRT screen.

Thanks for sharing your setup , I have a few pvms can't recomend them enough only problem is the bigger sizes are harder to find . Will be looking into your amps for retro consoles need a good sound system for my setup , again another awesome episode keep up the great work
