No matter how scary Hollywood make things.
Nothing is scarier than our imaginations.
The fear of the unknown
wow wtf
Actually something thats scarier would be a angry ghost or scary vampire
The shark constantly breaking has to be the best example of a “blessing in disguise”
One of the best results of technical difficulty ever.
And, that shark they used actually looked really good. It wasn't like it was some weak mockup, it looked real for the most part, the artists did a great job.
Scared of the ocean?! I was scared to sit on the toilet after seeing Jaws when I was a boy.
wow wtf wow
I don’t think you should worry about Sharks coming through the toilet, it’s the Rats that are the problem.. sleep well..
@@leekelly9639 nah. Snakes. Haha😂
The darn shark wouldn’t come out of his dressing room for months 😂😂😂😂
wow true wow
Steven Spielberg is truly a very diverse director who could direct every kind of genre in films. Action, comedy, drama, adventure, horror, biopic, romance, Sci-Fi and musicals, well he is very talented tbh.
I saw Jaws in the theater when it was first released in 1975. It’s 2023 and the scene at the beginning where Chrissy gets it is still one if the best and scariest ever put in film. Bravo Mr Spielberg!
If you wanna make a “movie”, Spielberg is great at it.
He wasn’t kidding when he said “if the shark worked I would’ve showed it more”. The shark was going to be seen during the attack on Alex kinter, there’s actual behind the scenes footage on this, the shark was also gonna be seen during the Ben Garner attack on his fishing boat and I’m pretty sure much much more was going to be filmed, depending on how you look at it the shark not working was a curse to Steven at the time but nowadays it was a sure fire miracle.
Everything happens for a reason
He succeeded bc the ocean has never been scarier for me.
Kind of unfortunate honestly
@@potatosmasher1072 I agree. I have always loved the beach and respected the ocean, but still could have fun with it. Now, I wldnt. :( But good movie making!! ;)
He succeeded because I don’t even go in my pool lmao
wow wtf wow
one of the greatest films ever made. I've seen it 50+ times and it never gets old or boring. The acting was uncredible !!
I saw this movie in 75 or 76 while on holiday in Durban, South Africa.
I was too petrified to go into the sea for the rest of the holiday.
A week later, on our last day at the seaside, I finally managed to go into the tidal pool up to my little 7 or 8 year old knees.
I loved to rag my mom about this episode, but she just said we insisted on going to see the movie, so it was our own fault.
I love how the Shark was a prima donna “actor” that only showed up to film when it felt like it. Like “No Steven! My demands haven’t been met, so you better pay me my money or there’s no movie!” Lol 😁😁😁
That still worked in Jurassic Park. I’m not gonna lie.
Jaws was the first summer blockbuster. I read the book first & then saw the film.
Great film.
That movie is a one of a kind and always will be. No CGI and it's still an awesome amazing movie to watch today.
Watching this movie on the big screen is a whole other movie than on the small screen.
Mike Flanagan said it best about the delays of the jump cuts on the few times we did see the “monster”
It did. I used to be afraid of a shark magically popping up out of my bedroom floor, biting my leg that was hanging off the side of the bed 😂
And let's not forget about John Williams' score.
This really goes to show that it doesn't matter what you're handed, but how you handle it. This would have ruined most movies and destroyed a director's career, but Spielberg turned it into an American classic.
He lucked out
Jaws is and always will be my top
1 an immortal classic
“Jaws” didn’t make me afraid of sharks. It made me afraid of deep water.
To this day , any body of water atill gives me the impression that Jaws can be anywhere, anytime, the theme plays in my head every time I go to the beach . Let's go swimming with bowlegged women.
Traumatizing generations for life ❤
it was such a awesome movie , i never wanted to swim in ocean ever
One of the reasons why I won't go in the sea, & where I live we don't get dangerous sharks ( or I don't think we do ). Another reason was an ole friend scared the b Jesus out of me in the Dominican Republic.
Maybe he should've had his lawyer Bruce sue "Bruce" the problematic VFX prop shark, but I guess they already did that earlier in the movie with that tiger shark and got a bunch of junk that probably wasn't worth the legal fees, ah well!... **throws disembodied arms into the air**
Steve, invest in shark protective foundations!!!You owe that to the sharks because of what you did to their reputation without justification whatsoever!!!!!!!
This is why I can't go in the ocean
Is he the first director to to kill a kid on film?
jaws 10000 times scry texa cinasw macure
I can watch THIS TIMELESS CINEMATIC MASTERPIECE......OVER AND OVER AND NEVER GET BORED!!
I can't stand 5 seconds of MARVEL/
AVENGERS, DR. STRANGE, HOMECOMING NO WAY HOME , BLACK PANTHER........
CGI/ GREEN SCREEN 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
