My grandfather, James Short, was one of the fabricators of Bruce, and many other things on set. He was one of the welders with the privation team for the whole duration of the film. This movie has always been a huge part of our family. My grandpa bought a house in North Port Florida in 1977, and he called it “the house that Bruce built”. He was on the set so long that he was able to save up enough money to buy a new house. That house now belongs to me, and we have a room dedicated to Jaws. We have over 180 pieces of memorabilia. My favorite being the mini Orca and the movie release poster signed by Scheider, Shaw and Dreyfuss
Amazing
There are so many reasons this movie shouldn’t have worked, shouldn’t have been finished and probably shouldn’t haven’t even been started but thank God it was. One of the greatest films ever made.
I know right it grossed almost like a half a billion which was absolutely mind boggling back then
The shark in Jaws still looks better than most cgi sharks in movies today.
Fact💯
We’re gonna need a bigger host.
Cause you’re short.
Gotcha.
🙃
Back at it again with the classic vest look 👀👌
His names Joe...
Joe Bereta, he's the manliest man in all of the world.
i bet his peni is smaller than Beretta Nano
when the host is a virtual embryo, talking about one of the most already been documented to death films in history.
Joe in front of a White Wall?! MY HEART.
We will always have a white wall in our heart for the SF folk.
I miss epic how to...
@@Stormertheboy ikr
Basically when it was released Spielberg and company felt exactly like the Orca crew. Traumatized and exhausted, but at the same time so happy that the nightmare is over. A true underdog story and a 10 out of 10 movie.
Spielberg should produce a movie that tells the story of the making of JAWS
You mean a “documentary”. That wouldn’t be a movie
@@jimlahey3919 Not a documentary but a 2h feature biopic film.
I was six years old, and I was OBSESSED with this film. I did not want Disneyland. I did not want Atari. I only wanted JAWS. The film was already ten years old by this time. Nothing I knew of in first grade was cooler than this film.
i saw Jaws at the flicks aged 10 in 1975 - one of the greatest things at the time (in the UK) was a comic called Action which had a story in it called Hook Jaw based on the film - the shark had Quint's harpoon from the book protruding forwards from its jaw ... great comic - it also did a Magnum Force thing to go with the film
Same here! Lol for a long time Jaws was a imaginary friend of mine! My family loves to remind me of that!
The Greatest Movie Ever Made~
You got that right!
I Agree Its A Good Classic.
❤ jaws it was the movie of the year in 1975
my hat ( or mask ) goes off to all that were involved in making jaws ! its an amazing film ! and you can see how much hard work was put into the movie to get the shark to work well enough for a few shots !! this is still the best shark movie ever !!
Universal Pictures All-Access needs to promote the crap out of this series!!! Great host and great bonus features
Joe stop creating fake accounts saying that you love the host
Totally agree. Very intriguing..
@@saucybackport hes probably the host lmao
A 2hr masterpiece and you only see the mechanical shark a few times. Greatest movie ever made !
I would have loved to be there at that moment when the Orca sank when it was not supposed to just to hear the dude yell" FUCK THE ACTORS SAVE THE SOUND DEPARTMENT!!!"
Greatest movie ever made. THE first Blockbuster ever.
Agree 👍, also the very first shark movie they ever made 🎥 🦈
One of best movies ever,, no doubt. So good
Its funny how everyone thinks the line is, "We're gonna need a bigger boat." Wrong! Its, "You're gonna need a bigger boat."
It's like the wrong line "Luke, i'm your father".
@@alexanderbaluch9796 Exactly. Classic Mandela effect
There are like 4 people on earth who say it incorrectly
I was nine years old when this film played in my father's movie theatre. I saw it on the first matinee of the first day of its release, and probably a couple dozen more times hanging out at the theatre. The cultural effect of this film was enormous. And it changed the way the movie industry looked at summer.
And despite all those problems they had making the film it's still one of my all time favourite movies. The original Star Wars films are still my fav
I'm glad Spielberg persevered on making a classic
“Shark still looks fake” - Marty McFly 😂
I don't know who this Joe guy is, but I bet he'd make a great rap about bonus features you could use.
Joe Alves is the Director of Jaws 3D
@@alexanderbaluch9796 not that joe, the host in the video
This is a bad ass movie... I remember the first time I watch it... It was so good and scary... I was a kid went I watch it... The shark is scary and the song went everytime the shark come I love it... The time I went to the beach to go in the water went I was a kid... I hear the song of Jaws song... I said hell no I not going it deep... That is how good the movie really is... They pick the right song for that movie...
I love this man in front a white wall with jump cuts😁
RIP Mrs Kintner.
Until today it remains my ever best shark movie along with Jaws 2

Why? Somewhat annoying.
What’s with that creepy beginning?
Still my favorite film of all time. I hope to watch it hundreds more times!
That feeling when you see your high school class mate starring in a random video in your playlist. Joe is such a boss! Love it.

Always such a pleasant surprise to see you in various projects!
When did you start this??? And why haven't I seen it promoted!?
In the movie I fourt the shark was real
Yes it is. That's why u buy the dvd & all the books u can. The LTD Hardcover Edition of Memories from Martha's Vineyard is a must for all Jaws fans.
For Bonus Feature Spotlight, I’m Joe Bereta and I changed my outfit 3 times in 10 seconds
You should see his Vegas show, he changes outfits more often than Cher.
I'm down to pound. Give me dat movie knowledge Joe.
I gotta rewatch Jaws now. 🦈 Thanks, Joe! 👍
This shark is more realistic than it would have been if it was created in these years with CGI
I even jumped full of fear when Hooper dived up.
I just had the same reaction hearing Steven Spielberg swear at 9:11 as I did when I heard my mother swear the first time... I spat out my cereals!! I then swore for the next week at school until my teacher asked me if I knew what that word actually meant... I cried, "I just thought it was cool" (I truly didn't know what it meant).... ahhhh Good times! ..... I was 28 years of age 😂
GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE!!!!!
Even the dude that played chief Brody remembers it as “we’re gonna need a bigger boat”. Mandela effect confirmed!
Haha
MANDELA EFFECT: Brody used to say, "We're gonna need a bigger boat." Now he says "You're gonna need a bigger boat." This documentary proves it. Thanks for sharing.
His names Joe.....
Joe Bereta, he's the manliest man in all of the world
If only People Magazine would have that annual poll.
14:54 I KNEW IT! As a kid when the shark sank i always felt like i heard it roaring on the way down which added an eeriness to it but wasn't sure if that was intended. Now i know
Can't wait to see what other movies Joe is gonna enlight me with.
Make sure to subscribe and never miss another Joe moment.
Martín Gtz Q
Your life sounds so thrilling. 🙄
i like that joe is at 3 different stages of beard during the outro and the end card
His beard grew so fast, we have to have him shave several times throughout our day of filming.
Being in the mouth of any giant Animatronic would be just as terrifying as the real animal that has a trainer & animal handler tbh !!!! Gotta give that man props for actually getting in that things mouth & chocking up fake blood because if it was actually real , I don't think anyone else would even realize it happening if that Animatronic shark was chewing on his body for real!!!!
My 10 favorite movies of all time
10. The Good The Bad And The Ugly
9. Rocky
8. A Clockwork Orange
7. The Shining
6. Casablanca
5. The Wizard Of Oz
4. Superman (1978)
3. Planet Of The Apes (1968)
2. Dirty Harry
1. JAWS
And out of this classic horror movie led to the ultimate classic sharknado
"And an ANCIENT sound man" LOL
How have I not seen this stuff? Amazing info!

The Hero
It’s all old news. Where the hell have you been?
Imagine having the shark model setup in the deep end of your swimming pool... Id NEVER go in it, not for a million
Plus the strange light in the sky that went past the back of Brody's head on the boat, UFO?
Prelude to Speilbergs next film Close Encounters!
I have the movie dvd jaws,1975,It was a great 45 year old movie,my favor part of that movie, was when the sarcastic, old man, came out of the water,he said to shift brody, cold,he sat on the beach chair
and he said we all know all about you,you never like to go on the water, and shift brody responded, something bad had harry, the sarcastic old man, didn't like
that,and he left.
Very cool.
I saw it opening weekend. I haven't been knee deep in the ocean since.
this production story deserves a movie
White Wall!!!!!!!! Yaaaaaaaaasss.
Only the best!
this video just reminds me that I love the og Sourcefed
I've agreed with Peter Benchley the moment I saw Jaws in the movie theater a second time about the ending. The shark swimming with the scuba tank in its mouth like a giant silver stogie is ridiculous (as is the tank exploding the way it did) but Spielberg was right regarding my first viewing of the movie. It was an emotional build up and release. It's only when one thinks of it and revisits the movie again and again that it doesn't work. I do have to say that in the book, the way it was written, the shark swimming, then drifting up to Brody, Brody expecting his death upon the feel of the shark's snout on his chest only to see the shark sink beneath the surface, dragging Quint's body behind it.
Of course it works. One of the most celebrated and most satisfying endings to a movie ever. Audiences have loved it and cheered ever since. If you haven't seen a crowd of 10,000 on Brighton beach or 5,000 in the Royal Albert Hall cheering when the shark gets blown up you have missed out. 👍 😊
Joe in front of a white wall... Rip SF
Loved it! And Joe is a fantastic host. ❤
15:21 And I thought I was the only one that noticed that cool scary roar.
This dude looks just like Jay from Redletter media
My comment is about the movie the MEG.
The MEG came out August 2018.
I saw it on October 2018. I was the only one in that whole theatre to see it! And it was a ten screen theatre!
Now if this were Jaws which came out two months earlier than the MEG, June 20, 1975, if I went October 1975, to see Jaws, that theatre would have been packed out!
Thanks for that intriguing insight, Captain Obvious!
Love it!! Excited to see more with joe and other amazing movies
Be sure to subscribe to the channel, we are publishing new segments with Joe each Wednesday.
That’s an amazing fact with the sound effect used from a b movie Spielberg saw!
Hell yeah joe!!!
hell YaJOe. Sounds better like that
Once again Joe it's been 50 DAMN YEARS
Holy crap this guy looks just like Jay from RLM.
I. Love. The. Ricochet. Sound.
Bruce was a DIVA!!!
Contestations, Joe! This is great!!
Thanks for the cool stuff Joe!
Here for King Joe
Bill Butler is my hero.
I think it grossed almost half a billion back then which was mind-boggling
Was number one until Star Wars
Love that film still watch it today 😊
The quote isnt 'we're gonna need a bigger boat', its "YOU'RE gonna need a bigger boat". Check if you dont beleive me!
WOOOOOOOOO JOE!
In the movie he said "You gonna need a bigger boat."
Muy corto el video pero me encanto gracias ojalá lo hicieran más extenso
And Spielberg still never learned from his mistake while making Jurassic Park because the mechanical T-Rex never functioned properly in the wet either.
N G It was never meant to be disrespectful just stating a fact so get over yourself!!!
We’re going to need a bigger boat
9:47 - 11:25 Is no one gonna talk about the End Titles music there?
The machine its self is more terrifying than the shark 3:38
Actually, the term "blockbuster" came after Star Wars came out in 1977.
I just finished watching all four movies Yesterday and I always reluctant to go into the water and now I'm terrified. I'm never going into the water again.
No the line is “you’re gonna need a bigger boat!”
Still my all time favorite movie...
Even the animatronic shark is scary
This is great!!!
Wow awesome!!! 😀
Here for joe
All those broblems still a great movie!
6:29 is my favorite part
Brodys gun is kar 98 lol
Hi, Joe!
Jaws is the G.O.A.T movie....
Just saying 🦈
Spielberg looks like he hasnt aged at all , guess hes got a good supplier off adrenachrome, but i do like this movie alot.
This documentary is at least 25 years old...it came out in 1995 with the 20th anniversary dvd.
HEY! You are not Jay Bauman from RLM?!
Jay? Is that you? Did Rich get eaten by the shark again?
