True. Also best class balance yet and fun content (unlike World Quests and current Island Expeditions). If Nazjatar ends up like Pandaria and Mechagon like Timeless Isle, maybe BFA still has a hope.
I have to say part of what I really love about this channel is the meticulously clean organization of everything. Across all your playlists, the chapters are always marked with the track names, the thumbnail template is consistent for each game, there's no extraneous intros or outros, the transitions are smooth, the descriptions are thorough and credit everything-- just super underappreciated presentation all around. Thanks for putting these together. Hope you pick the WoW ones back up sometime.
But at the very least WoD delivered some amazing music! Also the maps weren't so hollow. Atleast Shadowmoon Valley was pretty wonderfull aswell as Talador which was one of my favourite maps of all time.
For me the problem with WoD is that lack of content. Yes the maps were cool (Nagrand my favorite) and music was good. The story imo wasn't that good, just an ok and well...content. At least I did money.
Yes the endgame content for me was quite frankly boring as hell. I do agree on that one. But at the time I was missing plenty of other content to do so I did not mind it as much.
I loved MoP... I could spend forever just flying around the zones listening to the soundtrack. Everytime I explore Jade Forest I find something new. Absolutely beautiful expansion.
Finding the small wishing well in an isolated corner, which was in memory of someone who passed away, I think all my characters took turns to visit it after that, to just sit and listen to the ambiance and music. Another place for that was Turtle Beach by the statue.
Honestly I quit after Cata and was one of those people who bitched and moaned about MoP but damn son, this is some spectacular ambience. Retrospectively, MoP was one of the best expansions WoW ever had.
this expansion truly was something else.. dont think i've ever been so speechless when exploring a zone. I really hope blizzard takes this approach again and stops listening to the hate.
I always come back to this channel and have it on my TV during my WFH days. So relaxing and scratches the WoW itch without ruining my life for the next three months lol.
I prefer the WotLK aesthetic more, snow, ice, tundra, taiga and mountains are my favourite. Mists is definitely number two on my list though, jungles, forests, mountains, grasslands and the oriental architecture.
Hi Everness, just wanted to thank you so much for doing these. I keep listening to the whole playlist when writing my Master's thesis and so far it's going great. Not to mention that you're making me wanna go back to WoW! Well, maybe after I'm done with the university.
Six white cakes in unmarked cute little carton boxes. Two with vanilla creme on top, one with walnut praline, one with strawberry jam. Leave it under the bench at precisely 4:20 AM, then walk away casually. Don't mention this to anyone, I'll contact you about cheesecakes later at the time of my choosing. P.S.: Eat this message after reading.
MOP shouldn't deserve more hate, it is a good expansion, the music, the maps and it brings us a lot of mounts and interesting stuffs in the game. Thx for bringing all these music together!
Everness, I already mentioned it - but you are my hero! Your videos are the perfect match for any situation - relaxing, working, PnP - and somehow you always manage to be active when I need some motivational music for stu-dying!
This might not be a thing of the near future, but did you ever think about doing a projekt including files of Warcraft 3? I did some WoW-audioplay-stuff in the past (that I took of the web due to the danger of license-issues under the german law) and worked with files from the RTS. There are some amazing tracks in WC 3 and 1+2 as well - so would you be interested in some collaboration in the (distant) future? I would really love to contribute in your projects and "give something back"! I am thinking about providing some cut audio-files with ambience and maybe video-footage as well, with all the rest for you to judge ;)
Interesting proposition, but I can't promise anything at this moment. I have hundreds of videos planned and very _very_ little time. And these usually take dozens of hours to make. More for new games. At some point in the future I'll probably make a Warcraft 3 video or two, but for now it's nothing but a "would be cool I guess" thought.
7:30 I'm sure this one used to play on timeless isle at night on the beach aswell. After some intense fights with all the crazy bull guys near the top, I'd just chill out among the turtles on the beach and listen to this
Thank you soooo much for posting these. I spend my whole working day listening to WoW music. Such great memories! I also love how you can see things moving but at the same time it looks like a background image/ screensaver. Perfect!!
While the consensus that Wrath was the best expansion is pretty valid, Mists is also up there. It was simply the absolute pinnacle of what you can get when artists work outside their usual comfort zone. The aesthetic was completely unique and the storyline, miraculously enough, actually stayed consistent in its themes and meticulous in its detailing. We will never have the like of it again in WoW. So much love for it.

Panda was hated so much, for god knows what reason. It was my favourite expansion. The music and the locations are just perfect! I'm in love with asian culture.
For me MoP was one of the most fun, colourful, enriching experiences. I even adopted the Pandaren philosophy of "Slow down, life is to be savoured" when eating food and I'm going to live in China which for me resembles the Pandarens in a way.
The amount of times I was roasted by my guild for saying MoP was my favorite expansion by far...all the memories made and friends met during this time period, it really was amazing. Wish blizzard would put as much effort into experimenting with different art styles nowdays like they used to during this expansion
Everness firstly I want to thank you once again for helping me get my degree! I also hope you don't mind if I advertise a private server here, but seeing how many people miss this wonderful expansion I simply wish to help people by sharing what I know. (if it's a problem don't hesitate to remove the comment). There is actually a very well scripted MoP 5.4 server, Tauri WoW (there is an international realm with x1 or x2 rates), that has around 500 people online at all times. So everyone enjoying or missing MoP feel free to join and relive all the good times you once had. (If you join the horde, name is Dogrimm :)

I never hated MoP... I was excited about the setting, the perfect atmosphere in items, environment, music and all of this... is for me on the same level as WotLK
MoP was one of the ( later in the Expansion) best Expansion if you look at class design. Talents, Abilities etc. You had enough to press not only 4 damaging spells and 3 dmg and der cds. The utility and the ambience were really good. The story was also very well written. BUT the Pandaren race just triggered many people. But let’s be honest. Pandaren are a crucial element also in the Warcraft storyline :) Never forget the beautiful designed CM-Sets. Would be cool if blizzard would think about creating new sets or using the recolors for m+. Like get Keystone Master in every season and at the end of the expansion u get a recolored version. The original version stays unobtainable. :)
I wish I played WoW a long time ago, to experience places like this while it was populated. I only started playing since Legion, and when I was leveling here it was so serene and gorgous, but questing was cut short when I hit 90...great soundtrack btw lol
I've been watching these one at a time now, at maybe a couple a day. This is the first one I've commented on. I *really* liked this one! The art and architecture are beautiful! Definitely a "Like"!! 👍
What saddens me deeply is that these wonderful locations are still in the game, unused and forgotten, visited only by levelling players and those who took a wrong portal. Ah, such a waste. I miss MoP. So much.
Heh, Jade Forest isn't that forgotten. You go there on the way to Timeless isle, to pet battle, farm achieves etc as well It sucks that they changed the profession system so you no longer need to level through old zones to max it out.
When I was farming some coins and rep for mount in Timeless Isle, I was wandering why is the music so gorgeous and calm, like I’m playing Skyrim now. And then I’ve figured out when I’ve seen Jeremy Soule in composers list
Everness: i havent seen tanaris done yet and REALLY want something on caverns of time. The hourglass in the caverns actually ticks very softly. Please do so if you can. Consider this my reccomondation.
Caverns of Time is bit tricky because it has a number of raids and dungeons from different expansions with wildly different music themes, both in scale and tone. We'll see.
Left the game in Cata, came back for a MoP trial, played like 4 hours, and quited until today. My NElf Warrior should be parked somewhere in Jade Forest (if for some reason they haven't moved him).
MoP got some undeserved hate, imo. It has some of the most beautiful zones and music in the entire game. Thanks for the upload, love this!
I'd hardly all criticism of a full year without *any* content a simple "analysis of the negative".
