Just thought of something...my mom passed away last April and I gave cards from the service. I could use those to make something in remembrance of my mom to wear everyday!!
Just thought I'd share an idea I came up with based of this. Follow the same steps, but just do one "pretty" side, don't do any holes in the middle ones, and glue an earring stud post, and you've a lovely pair of earrings.
OMG!!! I like this idea so much that I grab a deck of playing cards. I was going to put them in the recycle bind but instead I made lovely beads! Thank you!!!
Fun 😂❤ You are turning a non creative person into an artsy lady. I will search your page for the cool buttons you used as well. Please don't ever stop creating these fabolous videos!!! ❤❤❤
I think I'm about to embark on a new addiction!!! I love bracelets and I could afford to make these and give them as gifts personalized for the recipient. Thank you for sharing!
I am addicted to making these beads!! Each time crafting a better and better batch!! Thanks for sharing!! I also add a clear gem to some and they look adorable!! Love using recycled material too. Thanks so much for sharing Jennibellie!!! Huge fan!:-)
Brilliant! Thank you so much for bringing crafting back! It's not about "product." We just need to purchase a few tools to make our own beads, cards, tags, washi tape etc. Thank you so much!
I am sooooo addicted to making these. It was my first try with Glossy Accents. Love it! I printed Love on recycled paper and cut it out and attached to the front of the heart and sealed with glossy accents. They are cool! I am just going to keep making them until I move on to star shaped ones. Thank you Jennibellie!
Jenni, Thank you so much for this tutorial! I was searching for ideas for handmade gifts for my 'secret santa sister' and think these beads would be lovely on the ends of a pretty ribbon bookmark. Plus since it is made out of recycling it is free to me and I can use our allotted dollar amount for larger gift cards (we give 7 gifts with a $35 (US) total amount). Thank you for sharing and for your ideas!
Truly fantastic beads from an ingenious recycling idea. Can't wait to start and will also enjoy searching out unusual card designs from the weekly shop! Brilliant - many thanks for giving so much fun and creation. :) x
You are so talented. I thank you for helping me. Now I want to try all the new things I have learned. I love the recycling part such great ideas. Thanks again!!!!
Omg! i love it! When i started watching this video i thought to myself "oh, she's going to die us how to make the beads in between the pretty ones, oh well no one can make beads as pretty as those unless it's in a factory." and then you did! i was surprised! Thank you!
Just a little tip with the glossy accents, I was forever sticking a pin in the end to clear the tip, which ended up stretching the point. I watched a video by Jennifer McGuire and she taps the bottle after use on her work surface to get rid of any residue in the end. Since then I've had no problems. Also, just wanted to say I LOVED my sines I purchased from you last week! TFS emma x
This is great, I really wanted to make bracelets but I didn't want do buy beads online, now I can try to make beautiful beads by myself, thank you verry much !!
This is a great idea. You could even use any shape that lies flat and put them on your art journal pages. I will have to go through my punches and see what I have. Thanks for the great tutorial. Barb USA
I have wanted to do something with empty tissue boxs forever ....what a great idea...off to get started with all the stash I've been saving. Thank you so much dear.....hugs deb
this video is a gem! I make Loc jewelry and I was looking for a way to custom make my own beads to set my pieces apart from everyone elses. I gave it a try shortly after watching your video. I didn't have diamond glaze or glossy accents but I did have some UV resin and it actually have me a great finish!
i completely LOVE this idea! i've got a bunch of carton in my recycle box....must make these. thanks so much, i just love watching, & really love ur accent.....yeah, i know, you don't have an accent, i do....i live in TEXAS!!!!
Another great recycling tutorial Jenny! tfs Love the beads and now I know what to do with my small butterfly punch I was gifted with last Christmas. :D A quick tip for you, use the pin you cleared the Glossy Accents with as the top. It will be good enough to block if it is a tight fit and will prevent future clogging. I've had one (actually a paper clip but it rusts after a few months so don't use that) in mine for over a year and no drying out. ;)
I just made my first 8 beads.......OMG !!! You're so talented. Thank you for sharing your creativity. I'm driving everyone crazy waiting for empty boxes.
I've actually never seen anything like this before, I LOVE finding new ways to recycle the old bits I've got. There are even some pieces I've had laying around thinking 'well, it may be good for something', and now I know what! :)
Thank you!!! I love your ideas & instructions!! I would like to make a beaded door to put up between the front & back of my house for privacy & of course to be pretty. I also want to make a wind chime type hanging just for the pleasure of it. Your bead making instructions will help make them unique & much less expensive!!
Well I am just getting stared in all of your wonderful ideas....but I LOVE each and every one of them!!! You make them seem so easy! I hope I can do them just as good as you! Thank You for your wonderful ideas!
NO NO NO! I will NOT run out to the recycling bin🚮--that has yet to be picked up--and dig through it for packaging to make beads...😉 I WILL be content to use the boxes I have already saved and use them to make these delightful beads. Of course going forward, the recycling bin will be a good deal lighter... I see boatloads of beads on the horizon. Thanks for a great idea and a well-explained tutorial. 👏👍💕
Amazing! :) So inventive. For the decorative side of the beads could you use wallpaper offcuts? I think that wallpaper offcuts would look good with all of the different patterns!
You are amazing! Love your beads...great tutorial! I love finishing my paper beads off with easy cast resin, so that's what I will be using. I need to invest in paper punch though. Very awesome Jennibellie!
Jennie, this is a marvelous idea, I love making my own jewellery and this is a great way to save money on beads and to recycle. Love, love, love this! I will take the challenge and make some of my own recycled beads.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I always wonder how you keep your nails looking so beautifully. When I'm crafting, I get glue and colour all over my nails and fingers. ;)
