The reason I haven't been that worried about all the missing features is that I have faith in the community's creativity and modding skills to make anything possible. You sir, are the payoff for my faith. Thank you so much!
Very helpful and informative. Thank you. I struggle too much with traffic, even after many different strategies but in the end I really wanted overpasses. Intersections really frustrate me and my citizens!
It's how UA-cam works. A video with a lot of views will keep getting suggested no mater how outdated or old it is. More views, make new views, and with even more views YT suggests it even more. A never-ending cycle which prevents new, good, videos form coming up. Hope one day they fix their AI.
@@perafilozof i've been binged watching your cities skylines series but somehow YT recommends me a Simcity guide lol Guess right, they should fix their AI haha
@@OchaFauzan01 indeed, I hope you are not having issues with my accent. Previous videos and those really old ones from 2015 are from back when I didn't have a lot of practice.
I know people have already said it, but your video is informative and DEFINITELY awesome. Just watching this video made me pick up SimCity again. Thank you for reviving my interest!
Nice video man! Liking and subbing and all that business. This video solved 100% of the problem I was having with my biggest city, which made me get pissed and quit the game. I'm reinstalling it now because I want to do this thanks again
This is so cool and yet its funny if you think about this: Terraforming was cut from the game yet the gamers still get what they want despite the devs unwillingness to give it
Thanks for this I created a tunnel with the High Density Street Car and wasn't sure how it was created. They should create a patch that would give the option if you want to create a tunnel or underpass. Thanks again
yes, exactly, whenever you make a big piece of road it will go sharpy up or down. They have to be minimal. Also you have to go back whenever you make a strait new piece or going up if you're trying to go down. It has to be continuous in one direction.
SC5 classic display of corporate stupidity, arrogance and totalitarian thinking. Nothing can beat the relative ease of SC4's terra forming God Mode and choices in region tiles.
Sir you're amazing, a real genius! Maxis bless you, you just fixed their stupid bug filled game and all the traffic problems of my cities.. Maxis should really learn a thing or two from you.. thank you for making this game better :)
They have decided to give it as a free update with the 7.0 patch. And not only roads but train tracks and street cars to. It makes sense since they couldn't pull it off as a DLC since we already found a way to do it ourselves.
Thanks for sharing these tricks, now I got more stuff to tryout on my city. It is quite sad that we had resort to these tricks. It should have been an existing feature in the game.
Great, thanks. Interesting that the capability for these advanced structures is coded into the game, but not easily useable due to the lack of terraforming tools. Almost as if they thought gamers would be too stupid to figure it out.
Thank you for your videos. It's a poor reflection on EA/Maxis that we are forced to take such measures. A terraforming tool is a basic component of a sim game. Thanks again
It can be that the park is not deep enough for a tunnel to be made. Or it can be that you just missed the sweet spot in some place(when you started the park line, when you pulled the road onto the park, are you holding the shift key while the mouse is on the park ect. )
it's still possible, I did it just this morning in a new city. Just remember that the trick is to place minimal road pieces and each piece has to have the same down angle as the one before it.
Depends how you do it. If your using one of the tricks from this video, it is possible but it requires specific land elevation. It's not something that can be done everytime everywhere.
It may be that your mouse sensitivity is too high to allow you to make small road pieces. Try lowering it. Or if that doesn't help try going forward and then back with each new road piece before releasing the mouse button. That way you will be able to see more of the changes on the land. And make sure to be zoomed in close enough to.
Has anyone told you that you sound like that one evil doctor from phineas and ferb, whats his name......Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
You have to dig down more. Tunnels have a certain depth at which they can be built. If you are already deeper but it is still not working you are probably just making small placement errors with the parks.
I'm on a shoreline region area and I tried the dig down left/right thing. I am not able to dig deep enough it seems. Someone has tested this and it seems to be working still. I guess I'm just out of practice after a month away working. I can't believe we have to resort to this in the first place. :( Nice video's btw, and your English is excellent!! GJ!! :D
These features are in game with Cities XL. I agree its sad that Simcity didnt draw from that, but this is one of the many reasons I've decided to stick with Cities XL for my city building game.
You're welcome. Be sure to watch the multi-city tutorial video #14 for the easier way of making overpasses. Share the video with your friends, so they can have fun as well.
Are you holding the shift key while making the next piece of the road? And even when you do sometimes it doesn't work and just have to delete the last part of the road, sometimes even start over.
Can you zone houses around the roads that are low such as the roads that are outside of the tunnel but still at that depth or the roads that are dug low into the ground using the technique from the first clip?
That depends on how much you like games like this. If you like SimCity 4 or SimCity 3000, Anno games then yes. If you never played games like this and don't like them, then no.
Nice video! It is a damn shame that we have to jump through all of these hoops just to change road levels. The fact that the game can render it means that they built in the ability to do it.
Hey! I've got a problem: When I'm making a tunnel and I'm placing a City Park than I put the street to this and the street is going to surface but no underground. :( Can you tell me what to do?

Genius stuff, how did you even figure this out? 11/10 top work.
Same as all great discoveries. By accident. I was zoomed in at just the right time and just the right spot while plopping roads.
perafilozof Very cool. Had a look thru your channel and it seems we play all the same games. :) Good vids dude, keep em coming.

You can zone on roads that are lower or higher than the other elevation. Just not too close to an overpass or underpass part of the road.
Have you tried the trick from the video multi-city tutorial #14? It uses another way to make overpasses after you dig down with the initial road.
Nice video man. Your audio is better. Continue this way, and thanks for the help.

Wow, this is some awesome video. Maxis should ask you for ideas. I'm surprise they don't have bridges and ramps built into this game!!!!!

I haven't tried it myself, but avenues can make tunnels I am just not sure that you could place it onto that park and make another turn.

Great video! I had no idea any of this was possible especially the tunnels! How did you come up with the trick for the tunnels? Great job!
Thank goodness, this looks like hell to create.
Yeah, that would be cool. The thing I miss most from the last game is bridges and tunnels. I do miss subways, but they were not all that useful.
This is genius! if only we had, oh i dont know. A DAMN MAP TO WORK WITH!!
U make may life easy thank u
Are you holding the shift key while making the next piece of the road? And even when you do sometimes it doesn't work and just have to delete the last part of the road, sometimes even start over.
Patch 7.0 is going to have adjustable height for roads. So you will be able to build a tunnel, a normal road or an overpass at the touch of a button.
Thank you! Send me some sunshine now and then :)
Thank you, and you are welcome.
I love making tunnels because it creates space for other things
I really hope that they do update the game with more road options.
Amazing video, thanks, surely gonna use these techniques to end the traffic problems ±D
On one side it's fantastic you managed to do this...on the other side it's incredibly lame you HAD to do this !
most important part is to hold the SHIFT key and be zoomed in to see the changes in the land when you make new roads as small as possible.
awesome video buddy! now i know. Thanks a lot!
Thanks. Maybe now I can reach the oil on the other side of the water in my city!
Odličan video! Pozdrav iz Hrvatske i hvala!
Man thank god for patch 7
I have not tried it my self, but if the rail can warp the land even a little when being plopped then maybe it's possible.
That's very awesome! Can you show us a City that use these tricks ? I think it should be a very beautiful city !
Hehe, hvala, hvala!
Thank you.
Haha, cool! Veliki pozdrav iz Srbije!
for adding parks so that you can continue your tunnel network.
hehe thx :) Share it with your friends!
You're the master! superb!
Thank you to explain us these bug! How many Bugs are these now...? Now it is possible to build brdgees und tunnels... They fixed their bug!
Awesome! A bug being used for something useful!
Well it took them 3 full months since I posted this, and the game has been out for 5 months. So they are only late about 5 months with this feature.
Can you zone houses around the roads that are low such as the roads that are outside of the tunnel but still at that depth or the roads that are dug low into the ground using the technique from the first clip?
Hvala! Pozdrav!
your doing fine keep up the good vids !
Far out...one word......AWESOME!
your accent is just amazing!
No problems. You can do this right now when playing.
I am guessing you're asking what Region? It's Whitewater Valley a 5 city region with 4 cities that have 2 highway entrances and exits.
That depends on how much you like games like this. If you like SimCity 4 or SimCity 3000, Anno games then yes. If you never played games like this and don't like them, then no.
You can see it used in many of my cities. Take a look at my multi city tutorial parts 14, 15 and 16
I am planning some new videos, so I will try to do it and add to one of the new videos.
I love adding bridges! :D

Yeah, dude figure it out a month before i did. I was told about it on reddit.
super good video, thanks alot!
Hehe, I am glad to hear that. Your welcome.
very cool tips and tricks Ty
OMG! Best video ever! helped me
Thx, you're welcome.
Yes, I agree. They took out a lot of stuff that was in SimCity 4 and the game suffers for it.
Hey! I've got a problem: When I'm making a tunnel and I'm placing a City Park than I put the street to this and the street is going to surface but no underground. :(
Can you tell me what to do?
It's just awesome u got my sub :D
It's not my fault! It's a minute difference in pronunciation. One has a short i the other one a long i.
Fully functional you can see it used in many of my cities. Take a look at my multi city tutorial parts 14, 15 and 16
Is this functional, or does it just act as an intersection with a fancy graphic design?
