The thing I find amazing is that he sings in different languages that he didn't speak. He had no training in music, lived on the streets from age 7 or so & is a very humble person. I admire the man immensely but take nothing away from his talent..

Love your reactions! Big Like for u! Now, about Marcelito, well Marcelito's story is nearly as amazing as his voice. His mother rejected him at birth and custody was given to his father (they had separated), unfortunately his father was serving a lengthy prison sentence, so little baby Marcelito spent the first 2 years of his life in prison with his father. He was then adopted by a prison guard, but it was not a happy childhood and at 9 years old he discovered they were not his real parents and he ran away. He survived by selling food snacks on the city streets. He says he learnt to sing with two voices (not uncommon in the Philippines) as a way to combat the loneliness. He earned extra by singing in bars and cafe's. He met a girl, fell in love and they married. They now have a child, and he has been reconciled to his birth father. He entered Philippines Got Talent in 2011, and of course won it hands down. He also participated in America's got talent with the songs "Beauty and the Beast" and " Time to say goodbye/Con Te Partiro ..so if u want to see more of Marecelito u can check those performances of him...

@@SwiftReactionsThis is nit quite accurate, only part of it is: Mom took off, Dad was already in prison, and he did end up alone on the streets at the age of 7 for several years until he was finally adopted by a police officer. On the streets , he sang to himself to keep himself comforted. No formal education or vocal training. Only fluent in Tagalog, but learning English. Fluently sings in multiple languages but doesn’t speak them. He is smart, kind, humorous, and very charitable to those in need in his hometown. Still lives in his hometown in the Philippines, even though he performs all around the world.

Who needs to worry about singing duets when you can do it all on YOUR OWN??? The 107.5 Wish Bus is like the Phillipines’ version of Motown in my opinion, giving artists a “launch pad” to get their talents out there & noticed. Marcelito is a vocal BEAST… In the best possible way. Other artists you’re in for a treat with include Bugoy Drilon, Katrina Velarde’, Daryl Ong, Michael Pangilinan, Regine Velazquez, 4th Impact (an all-sisters’ group), KZ Tandingan, Morissette Amon… To name just a few. New subscriber here (fellow Aussie 👍😁🇦🇺).

Great reaction to Marcelito! I would like to recommend that you check out Lucy Thomas. To my ear, Lucy has the most beautiful female voice that I have ever heard. She also does a duet of The Prayer with her younger sister Martha. But Marcelito Pomoy has an amazingly unique vocal talent.

New subscriber. I must say, you make a lovely first impression. This is a bit long but please read it. I can tell that you will appreciate it. Great response to what you were seeing and hearing. Amazing isn't it? I have made this comment before but would like to share it with you. Two personalities, Celine & Andrea, Female and male sounds precisely executed, in two languages - neither one is his native language which is Tagalog. I have a theory: Marcelito, is, of course, gifted with an unbelievably beautiful voice, but it is his BRAIN that can MEMORIZE exactly what he HEARS and his marvelous voice allows him to recreate it PRECISELY, even female voices, minute inflections in other singer's voices, and an accurate pronunciation of foreign languages. That strange thing that he does with his mouth after the song is because the Sound Engineers were teasing him about having a 'female voice' so he was 'removing' it. Marcelito is humble with a great sense of humor and a charming stage presence. Well, enough - I thought you might enjoy some insight into this gifted singer.
