But in Martin history tome fire and blood there are some huge clues as to there origins and maybe a large part of there backstory of this idea is correct. All this has also got me wondering, will we get this idea confirmed in House of the dragon the new game of thrones spin-off coming in 2021.

It's heavily implied they are. On the preview cover and some early copies of fire and blood there was a line saying we'd find out the history of Danny's dragon eggs that was swapped for a line about Maegor.

By stealing the Dragon Eggs, Elissa Farman did Rhaena dirty in the worst way. There's no doubt that Rhaena was in love with her but Elissa loved being at sea too much to ever settle down on land. Elissa would've fitted in perfectly with the Greyjoys.
