The drones necessity of guidance always made departure a cruel, sad thing. What is an hour less of sleep, in the grand scheme of things? Marshall Misener Moments lost to time
I remember this was the point of the game where my opinion on Miriam turned around. I'd always kind of dismissed her as some technophobic nutcase, but in the face of things like thought control, self-aware colonies, the Dream Twister... sometimes she's the only one who seems sane. That's what was so cool about the factions in this game. They all embodied extremes without becoming exaggerations or caricatures.

Darcy Reburiano it should be noted that in this context 'despair' is living an unreligious, secular life. To be non-religious (I also think it may be non-Christian), is to be in despair. it's a spiritual thing, not emotional. It could be taken literally, however you want, but Kierkegaard was a particularly religious philosopher.
Christianity is about living in dispair, suffering is a clear fact of life that christians take to. Its appealing but also destroyed. Who wants to suffer all the time when life is full of fruits of pleasure. Should look more into the catholic beliefs besides the terrible things about the weak of the religion disgracing its name.
Kierkegaard was really a genius... One of those people probably too intelligent to be truly happy. His essays are amazing, but also the creation of a very depressed man...

Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

The first quote from Kierkegaard always gets me. It's a question worth asking everyday; did I live in despair or not?
