ABOUT ME
I’m 33 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city s a Police Officer and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 1200 breeding ewes.
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on UA-cam and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Since starting The Sheep Game I have met Lizzy and had two incredible boys Jock and Angus. You will see them all on this channel!

I totally agree as Cammy,s older videos helped through my lambing so I did not feel so alone when a problem occured but you just have to see the power the government has when it comes to sensoring us/we the people who pay their wages.

I'm sure it helps Meg that the weather has straightened out. As an arthritic person, I can totally relate to her being slow and achy on poor weather days. Glad she's getting some relief!!

There is nothing to say against lambing outside in that beautiful landscape in sunny weather! It just seemed so overwhelmingly difficult in rainy cold weather. You have dealt with it in the best possible way and you do a great job. I did not mean to do any criticizing, I was just wondering about the decisions taken which I understand perfectly now! Cammy I'm so glad to see you have had a break in the awful weather as it's been a hard time for all you farmers! I take my hat off to all of you out there. Stiffness and arthritis - librela injections - marvelous stuff! As well good old Absorbine Liniment - primarily for horses, but good for dogs and yourself too. Sending loads of love to Meg and You guys!
Just house sat an arthritic older border collie and Librela has made a ton of difference in her mobility and energy.

Being farm kids must be the best upbringing ever. Outdoors life plus early responsibility. Give it another few years and you will be redundant, sipping beer on a Caribbean beach.

Was away for a few days so just watched all the lambing videos back to back, tough tough few days but hoping that the weather will now cooperate for you and all the other sheep farmers, tremendous stuff Cammy, both you and Lizzie are a credit to the industry and you're ability to stay positive even during some of the disasters is again tremendous, can't wait for the next one.

Today’s lambing has been hard. Crap weather wind and rain and its cold. Poor lambs don’t stand much chance. We need some warmth up here in the Shetlands

Lambing outside is really the most wonderful experience when the sun's shining and the wind is low. So much nicer for the ewes and lambs. Never have a ewe lay on a lamb and as you said no joint ill. Glad you had a change in the weather! Wrote to Red Bull and evian suggesting they support you, as a farmer, with free product. Maybe you'll get some coupons in the mail!

My Mom was the last one to leave the farm. When I was three she brought home a lamb, white with a pretty black face . Her Uncle continued raising sheep. We spent time on the farm every summer . Bottle feeding lambs was the best part. Bring in the hay as a group was a wonderful experience . Participating on a farm for a child is learning to enjoy the pleasures of hard work. A long day. Making bread by eye. Our world has hope shining at the center where families and hands are busy, successful and able. Plus a farm kid can drive anything. Get out of the mud. Get out of a ditch .Ask for help and learn absolutely everything.
Sheep game is a joy to watch. And there are sorrows. Keep it up!

I just started watching your channel. I am not a sheep owner. I raise goats. The most I have had is 102 so nothing crazy. But I raised a few sheep as a kid. And it seems to me there was talk about prolapse being possibly caused by docking the tail to short. I don’t know just thought I would mention it since you have had several prolapses. Great little channel. Thanks for sharing your sheep!! ❤

You were surprised with the ewe which had four strong lambs. You couldn't really believe it. Sandi just had a ewe lamb quints. All five lambs were up walking and nursing quickly. She couldn't figure where the ewe kept such five healthy lambs inside. So these strong multiples do happen. Bonus babies.

Yenno what, I actually feel mega proud to watch an Ayrshire guy working his arse aff doing the best by his flock and his family, it’s amazing to watch it really is, and you should be proud of yourself too, these past couple weeks have been bloody awful for farmers and most of all awful for the wee lambs being born into it bless them ❤ you’re all doing amazing! And what a fantastic set of boys you have helping their maw and da out with the animals , brilliant ❤️
Brilliant vlog Cammy, those triplets are looking amazing in the sun, that’s the kind of joy you see when driving doon the country roads and you see lambs skipping about playing and you scream “LOOK LAMBS” and everyone including the driver look for ages then you realise you are the driver! There’s a reason I don’t drive anymore. My favourite part was our wee William Wallace and his pet lamb the same size as him, now I don’t know if Jock wanted to go running with the lamb and play or if Shepard Jock decided that it was time for the lamb to go to the fields. He will be an amazing farmer one day , you can see it in him even at the age of 3. Lizzie looked beautiful sitting feeding the lambies, that tiny wee quad is gorgeous. I can’t wait until Angus is running around with him. Not long now until Little Miss Wilson arrives on the scene to wind everyone around her little finger. Was that some police techniques you we’re trying oot the CFMOTO window?

That's only round one! There are as many ewes again to lamb. The second batch, the Lleyn, have apparently just started and Lizzy's Cheviots are to follow.
