Kevin, one thing my vet told me about my dog is that they will eat when their hungry. So, don't worry when they don't want their food. You can tell by looking at your dogs. They're well taken care of and look very healthy. 😊
Skeeter sure loves Mojo. ❤️
So many critics on today. Kevin, you keep doing your animals the way it works for you. Love your family and videos.
These are the 3 things my aunt who owns a goat cheese farm did with her LGD feeding. First she locked the goats in a feeding pen separated from the dogs and fed them separately that however got annoying. She then tried a garage door opener hooked up to a enclosed area to feed the dogs and she could just hit the remote to let them out. The last thing she did was have her husband make a feeding station with a sliding door that slide up and down and the door would only open or close for the dogs because they had a microchip collar on . Later she eventually just microchip the dogs themselves because the collars kept breaking but she has had no issues since then. The goats could not get into them because the door would close if the dogs left and the goats could not get into it.
I'm exhausted just watching you and having to deal with all the different circumstances of goats, high winds, animals not going where they should, etc... You do a great job on your farm.
Goats are such funny creatures but you definitely have to have a sense of humor with them! They can drive you bonkers! 😂
Hey Kevin, drop by a garden center and get the special paint made for tree bark damage, you can save them now before it’s too late when bugs get in there. I’m from Oregon, we have trees…lots of them lol!
Put in my feed bowl lower on the fence for him. Like you said he’s a sponge he is totally 100% following what his parents are doing and he won’t understand when we try to change that. He’s such a wonderful dog.
Have you considered putting in an automatic doggie door that is triggered by a sensor on Mojo's collar? That might help Mojo as well as keep the goats from jumping the fence. Raise the fence and Mojo won't have to jump any more... better for his old bones!
I suggested that the other day. Seems as though the goats are learning from Mojo.
You are feeding too much food to Russell at one time. You need to measure out his food for his age and breed. By measuring out his food, their will be less food left in his bowl for the parents or goats to eat.
Hi! I love watching your videos. I am 63 years old. I like learning from your farm life. I did guess the color of the puppy!
@@HarperFan01 they've had dogs for quite awhile, I think they know what they're doing...
Having a doggie door with a collar wouldn't really work. As it is will set off an alarm when to far away from the door.
They also have food feeders with RFID collars. Maybe you could get something like that for your pups so they can have access to their own food and keep those pesky goats out. I enjoy your channel -- thanks for sharing your farm and family with us!❤️
Kevin, Thank you for keeping it real! Life on the farm has its challenges too. I bet you can’t wait to get rid of the goats who are harming your fruit trees! I had fun with the kittens on the farms but when the dairy cows got out and in my yard, I was not very happy! Our farming days are over but I sure do like to watch your videos! It will be fun seeing Russell grow up to work on the farm! I appreciate that you and Rachel take such good care of all your animals!
we are all arm chair quarterbacks. Kevin has done this before, he knows how to feed his dogs
My grandma used to bring thechicken and duck eggs anddouble yokers in whenshe visited us and shewouldsell them to my our neighbors!
You’re not Russel’s dad YOU’RE his Grandpa. 😂😂😂💖
So true!😂
😂👍☺️
‘Actually, the grass is greener over the septic tank’ Erma Bombeck❤😂😂 I 🎉😊
She was so funny!
SOOOOO TRUE
😂😂
We had really fast growing green grass over the septic drain field. We needed 2-3 mowers going at one time and lots of times we made compost from all the sneaky snakes hiding in the tall grass!
Great book, laughed till I cried.
Russell sure is growing 🥰. Mojo sure won't like the storm coming. Thanks for Smeegle being a BFF. Stay safe. Blessings to HHF 🙏🫶🙏🫶🥰
Russell is training with his parents how cool. He is discovering his world a little bit at a time. And he loves attention from you, Kevin.
Kevin, I think you have a great plan with the goats! Take the troublemakers to the auction. They put a hurting on your trees. Russell sure loves his food! ❤❤ You'll have to keep us posted on the weather. 🙏🙏 Great video! Love you all. God bless. 🙏🙏❤❤
Take care during storms. In Alabama, we are predicted to get some pretty bad weather as well as the Ohio River Valley. You guys usually get worse weather than we do and before us. You and your sweet family, please stay safe!
Russell is so vocal...it's awesome!!!
I’m sure as Russell starts to grow up/older he will explore more of the field ❤😊
Russell is growing so big, it's so nice to see the journey of him growing up. Mojo is my 2nd favorite.
I hope everyone had a blessed and peaceful Resurrection Sunday! Those winds are already in southern Missouri and it seems like they never stop! We had one calm day yesterday, but they're BACK! It's really getting on my nerves. Very happy that it's warmer though as so much to do to get the garden and yard into shape and work on projects. So glad Russell is doing so well with Mom, dad and the goats. Yes those mischievous goats have to go! Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️
I just want to say HAPPY EASTER RESURRECTION DAY! Lots of prayers blessings and love!❤❤❤
Russel is so stout and handsome! He’s still a pup trying to figure it all out as well. Love the way mom dog and dad dog still interact together. Love watching everyone figure it out!
HAPPY EASTER HE HAS RISEN
Such a nice dog family. Russell is so cute!
Russell is growing so fast! It's great for him to eat with his parents and learn how to fend off the goats. He's in training and will learn alot from the other dogs. You're doing your best, good luck to finding a sufficient feeding system. Happy Easter to you and your family. God bless ❤
Time to put some chicken wire cages around the base of the fruit trees. We always do. Too many animals love the bark and leaves.
When my horses occasionally get out of their pasture and into the house side of the property, the first thing they do is start chewing on my fruit trees! I couple of them are half de-barked! Maybe your chicken wire trick might help.
Chicken wire won't stop a goat.
Russell is sure growing ! Yes goats are a handful ! MoJo is looking real good ! Have a wonderful week ! God Bless❤
Kevin, you and Rachel are mom and dad to all the animal's. ❤ ❤ 😊
I agree. They are human mom and dad no matter what.
Kevin have you noticed Cora limping? I believe it was her back right leg. I can't believe how fast Russell is growing! I think a bright blue collar would look good on Russell. I pray you can fix the fencing problem as well. Praying you and your lovely family had a blessed RESURRECTION DAY! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
yes i noticed it too holding her left back leg up when she was eating too
Leski is doing a great job with Russell. Kora is finally getting some down time she deserves. Can’t wait to see Russell with Uncle Mo. Love your farm. Stay safe this round!
Was Russel among the puppies that Cora scolded for going out too far? I'll have to go back over the footage in the other videos. I agree that goats will do follow the leader, and really fast. It's a wonder more aren't doing the walk about. Do what ya gotta do! I'm sure a vet would agree that dog food is not right for goats. Those chickens are funny reaching thru the fence! At least they're ominvors. Maybe russel will get used to the chickens for when he's working with Mojo. And he seems to be happy with Skeeter.
Clean Mojo's eyes🥺please😊love you all oh yeah I knew it was Russell when he was born 😂 lol
The Mojonator is like, hey wait a gosh darn 2nd here dad, you should be feeding me 1st. Russell is gonna be a big boy gonna be fun watching him grow in just a few short months. Keep the animals safe during the storm, hopefully won’t be to bad 😵💫😳
Have a blessed and beautiful Easter❤❤❤❤
Love you all so much ❤God bless and Happy Easter
To Russell you won’t be Dad you would be Grandpa 😁
That's what I was thinking too!
Same here 😂
Kevin, it's your farm at the end of the day. You do what you feel is best for your farm.
Happy Easter Kevin and Rachel.🙏Russell is so adorable .❤️❤️
Everybody wants everybody else’s food 🤣 Cora looks in great shape already and Mr Russel is growing so fast, looks amazing. Love how well you look after your animals. What a wonderful life you and your family have. I’m in the UK and my back yard is about 60feet by 60feet square so to me your life is like being in heaven. ❤
Aww Cora Russell and Leeski all eating together ❤️
Russell needs to be eating with Mojo
@@ke11ey1 says you...
Russell doesn't seem to be ready to dry kibble all meals everyday with an egg. With so many goat's on the farm , a bit of basic bone broth to add to the kibble for all 3 dogs shouldn't be too difficult. Just a bit of effort in the kitchen
Maybe feed the dogs in the puppy pen..all the time.maybe a dog door..to keep goats out.Just a thought..Happy Easter❤❤❤❤
When russell going to meet MOJO
If you are directly after the bark is eaten off put a mixture of damp clay, yoghurt and florists moss on it and protect it with polyethyleen around it. This can let bark grow back. Bonsai people do this often. But it only has effect if goats can’t do more damage by a wire protection around all your fruit trees up to 6 feet.
Love seeing Russell with his Mom and Dad! Cora and LeeSky are doing an awesome job training Russell. I can’t get over how that little white goat can jump that fence! You sure do have your hands full especially at feeding time. Love your two adorable donkeys. The wind sure is wicked! Praying that storm coming in doesn’t do any damage! I hope Cora and LeeSky will take Russell inside the barn during the storm 🙏 Hugs and Love. Grammie Suzie ❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏
Maybe Rachel could make videos of her canning, freeze dried eggs etc for those people who doesn’t know how to do those things. I’d for sure reference them to the videos.
Many people grew up in the cities and didn’t learn how to do that. I personally haven’t heard anything about freeze drying eggs So I’d be interested in that as well
I was thinking, for feeding them on Russels Pin area gate, build a door that is only triggered by the dogs' collars so the goats can't get into the dogs' food. Now, for Mojo, i would suggest maybe feeding him on the outside of the goats pin so they can't get to his food. Just Idea's. Hopefully, you figure something out so Kevin doesn't lose his mind about it, lol😅😂😊
Supposed to be very bad storms in your area tomorrow (Monday) I know you’ve said previously that Mojo doesn’t like it, I know you’ll make sure he will stay safe, but I’m still going to worry about him. I hope all of Hidden Heights Farm will be safe and sound, and no hail damage to your vehicles or structures.
I get such a kick out of Mojo & Skeeter! Right out of Looney Tunes. Substitute Mojo for the Bulldog & Skeeter for the JR Terrier! 🤣🤣❤
MOJO is so cool
You could set up a automatic door for a feeding station for the dogs too. It would be more cost effective than the individual sensor feeders where each dog has it's own.
😂Oh, those kids jumping the fence are so mischievous. Where there is away, they will find it. Russell surley
loves to be with his Mom and Dad. He is going to be a great guardian dog. I'm praying that you, your family, and all the animals stay safe during the storms that are expected. ❤
Cora and Leesky are taking care of Russell and teaching him.❤😊
Russell sure is getting bigger.
Russell is growing fast.
Russell is precious!!!❤❤😂😂😊
That picture of him working looks as though he loves his job!
Goats are not grass eaters theyre browse eaters sheep eat grass, goats only eat grass if theyre starving. Thats why i keep alfalfa hay in the pasture at all times. 1 huge roll .
Russell is so adorable. Those goats are annoying. Ugh!
Love you guys so much. Nice truck Kevin. 🚚 ❤❤❤
Happy Easter! ✝️
It is a pleasure watching you feed the animal, the goats have really done damage to your fruit tree, if you wrap that tree where they have eaten the bark will grow over I had deer coming into my garden the stripped the bark off small trees in the past.
It's always greener on the other side of the fence. 😅😅
Kevin, FYI, A YELLOW COLLAR DRAWS BEES. FYI ONLY. I HAD A YELLOW CAR ONCE & A SUNROOF & IF I WAS SITTING AT A RED LIGHT, BEES WOULD TRY TO GET IN! YIKES, NEVER EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT IT. SAMETHING HAPPENED WITH A YELLOW BATHING SUIT I HAD & BEACH TOWEL! PEOPLE DONT THINK ABOUT THAT, BUT IT IS REALLY TRUE! I HOPE YOU FIND THE BRIGHT ORANGE COLLAR FOR PUPPY, RUSSELL! ❤❤
Russel really interacts with you guys. That's a good dog.
I love that you put Olaf in with the donkeys. Lol. I laughed so hard. lol
I like the idea of a bright neon collar for Russel. Sad Olaf is a problem goat. He’s so cute. Thanks for working so hard on these videos.
Right, I laughed so much 😂 I do love that too 😂❤
Wow. Little one has grown so tall. Id cage the trees.
Oh my goodness!!! Russell is growing up so fast. ❤
😂Y’all have the patience of Jobe with those obnoxious goats! I’d have introduced them to an electric prod or at least bitter apple spray long ago. Especially back when you were getting those goats that were head butting you. I can’t believe how fast Russell is growing. Keep up the Great content and thank you for your wonderful posts!
Don't blame you for getting rid of the problem goats. Russell sure is getting bigger. Glad Mojo's feeling better. GOD bless y'all.
Time to use a hose on those bad goats. Thanks for sharing your family and farm!❤
I’m nuts about Russell. He’s so soft & cuddly and he loves his parents AND you, which is just precious to watch. Adorable. All the animals love you. Can’t go wrong with kids & animals judgement. They always know.❤
I can’t believe how big Rusty (Russell) is getting. I love how affectionate Leeski is with him. I trust you, Rachael and the kids had a pleasant Easter Kevin🕊️🇦🇺
Our Brown Farmhouse build his LGD a feeding house that goats can’t get into that’s just impressive.
I got mini homestead farm going, goats fell into my lap, agree with you, they're a hand full, fun and entertaining but sheep an lambs better for next time for sure
Dog getting big
Wonder if any of the people who took the pups are on utube
I like the Blaze orange collar. You could also do Blue Camouflage. Happy Easter.
You should put a plastic or rubber mat over the door where the puppy area is and show him how to use as a dog door it might deter goats
It's windy (NM) here too : /
I like your wife's sense of humor, God Bless you and your Beautiful Family...🙏✝️🙏
Catching up again. I'm not getting company until Saturday 6 th. That's our Easter. Seems all I have been doing is shopping everywhere. I haven't gotten food yet for this weekend's company. 10 adults and 4 kids. And 1 family of 4 on Sunday. Supposed to be beautiful, finally. This week rain and storms until Thursday. Kevin watch your weather !! Get the vehicles back in the garage. You might be getting a lot of hail again and possibly tornadoes later. Be safe ❤️ can't believe how fast that pup is growing. May the Lord continue to Bless you and your family and friends and your critters 🙏🙏🕊️ Peace and Love 💕 from Maryland ❤️ Be safe
For Russell, what about installing a magnetic cat door mechanism onto a door? (for Russell to be able to get his food)
He would need to have the magnet on his collar to activate the mechanism.
On Appalachia’s homestead, Patara gave her older Pyrenees Yu Move. Said it made a big difference in him. Maybe give some to Mo
As for little Russell eating in the barn, maybe he has sad feelings about the barn because that's where all his brothers and sisters used to be and now they're all gone. Maybe he wants to stay close to mom and dad now, because he's pretty sure they won't leave him. That little guy's gone through a lot of changes in his short life. But he seems smart and appears to be adapting quite well to GLD life.
My sister’s pet goat “Billy” butted her in the rear and
Really hurt her. Then her dwarf black angus “Wooly-Bully” rammed her into the fence. Wooly Bully weighs over 1,000 lbs! The joy of animals lol.
YIKES!!!!!🐄🚀
If Russell grows into them flapping ears he’s gonna be huge. 😅
Kevin, on your fruit trees. Pappy always slapped some tar looking stuff on it then wrapped the area. Also prune all those suckered trees at the bottom so the main tree can survive. Does all goats have horns that are with Kora and Leaskee? If so a v shaped area just big enough for the dogs head.
Hope you & your Family had a Nice Easter 🐰
Love watching you navigate through it all! This is the epitome of farming!
Russ is getting big. Does he spend time with Mojo yet? How long will he stay with his parents before he makes his way over to the other herd?
Maybe you can make an opening that he can go through, and dad and mom and the goats can not get in.
Love you'll stay safe, and God bless.
Dan 🇺🇸
Yeahhh, thanks for the new video Kevin
I don't know how pet/stock food is prepared where you guys are, but I live in an area that grows milo, and I can tell you that the feed mill that''s northwest of me puts sorghum into everything, so it could be that all your animals have a taste for sorghum.
I heard about the storm coming to your area. I hope there isn't too much damage from it. I totally understand about needing to get rid of problem goats. It is so cute to see Russell out with Kora and Leeske and the goats. I look forward to when he starts training with Mojo in the front pasture. Skeeter was so funny marking his territory in front of Russell. I love seeing Smeegle. He is a great farm cat and friendly with all of the dogs and livestock. Hopefully you find some emu and turkey eggs soon. Take care Kevin, Rachel, Kaleb and Kyah and all the animals at Hidden Heights Farm.
Good video. Sorry I can’t help about the problem with the goats and dog food. I only have a little yorkie. No comment from me Kevin. Your farm, your goats, your dogs. I’m just glad you share with the rest of us. I believe Kira and Leesky will take care of Russel. All you can do is your best! Maybe a stall ? Straight out from the fence. Sorry I’m not much help. Blessings from OKC❤if you want to…. Think about getting Russel a RED collar!❤
Animals will never do what you want or expect.
I love Shmeekles response.❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂🎉
Have you checked under trees and bushes farther back from the feeding area for the Emu eggs? Cog Hill Farm’s emo laid her eggs way back away from the other animals and now the male is sitting on 17 eggs!
Kevin, put some chicken wire around your fruit trees to protect them from your goats. Congratulations on your new truck. The puppy is getting bigger by the day. Hope you have some emu's eggs soon, that would be really awesome day for the farm. Happy Easter to the family. 🐇🐇. David B,Utah. 🐈🐕🐕💖🥰❤💞🤗.
"Our Brown Farmhouse" vlogger built their Dog area with an elevated diamond (square standing on a point) shaped opening. Neco said something about Goats can't ot won't jump through it.
OMG, Russel is growing so fast! ❤ He’s so cute ❤️ I hope he makes a good LGD 🙂
I love ur videos and can’t wait to have a farm of my own
