I love my USA version of the phone, I would care less about 5G, 4G LTE is fast enough for me. The almost stock Android experience is simply beautiful!!! Glad I got this phone cause pixel phones are a no no cause they feel cheap and not premium like Sony.
I would rather Sony to miss CES 2021 and then release the Xperia 1 and 5 together in IFA 2021. And make the release schedule close to the phone announcement. Tired of waiting 5/6 months for the phone to get released
The grey color looks shiny. I am considering buying it but the pre-installed apps bother me, even though in the Set up, you choose from the list which app to add and which one to not, but I noticed that Linkedin is already there, and I think the same goes for Tidal and other apps, please could you tell us if these pre-installed apps can be deleted or at least disabled to make them disappear from the screen? Thank you
As others said, there are so few, I wouldn’t worry about them. I think the exact apps vary depending on which variant of this device you get. However, there are some you cannot uninstall. Tidal and Facebook being two of them.
Hi there. Sonys always makes it confusing with the colour scheme) Leaving us to figuring out what colour is what.. I wouldn't want black, cause it hides the personality of this device. Then i thought Blue, but it's the flashing mirror and a fingerprint magnet.. So what's up with this one.. Is the colour consistant/not many reflections? How s it holds against 'fingers'? Thank you.
I completely agree with you. I think this color provides the perfect balance of classy design and hiding fingerprints. They are not completely hidden, but they are much so than darker colors like the black and the blue. It is quite reflective, though I enjoy that. But it is not quite as mirrored as the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium in Platinum for example.
Yeah, in automatic mode the camera lags behind almost every Android flagship and even many mid-range phones. There’s a learning curve, but one can get a lot out of the pro mode. Of course, most would understandably rather not spend time on that when they can get fantastic results more quickly elsewhere.
My USA Xperia 5 ii came with Tidal, Facebook, LinkedIn and Call of Duty mobile which I kept cause I play it and it can be with over 40000 cod points as a part of a promotion. You can either disable the apps you don't need or root the phone and remove what you don't need.
Hmm, I never noticed that. Perhaps it was partially reflection from the natural lighting, part display mode. In my first 24 hours with the phone I have not noticed any display issues whatsoever, though. It’s actually a gorgeous, buttery smooth display. I do see what you’re saying with a slight pinkish hue on video though.

@@ddcll9538 because samsung doesn't use stock Android, I have first pixel and s9. The s9 is laggy and slow....stock Android doesn't use another ui skin....that why i said stock Android on Sony is good and its more powerful than google pixel...
I think a thin besel is always better than a notch or a punch hole.And also keep front facing speakers.

They can be deleted
Sony has very few pre installed apps
That's probably due to the carrier

Just returned mine. Had ordered on eBay. I’m sticking with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Camera still Better ... go figure with all that Sony software. Waste

There was some. Not much, but I recall apps like Tidal and LinkedIn on there. You can, of course, disable them but not uninstall.

@@esthetech I think it maybe the lighting and your iPhone that you used to record the video that warm hue iPhone gives probably has it looking pink.

I found it on Expansys, and then later finally on eBay.
