He's very much socialist in his beliefs but i agree. He's more logical than most in politics. Except however socialism doesn't work. Someone has to pay for everything. You get blow back when you work hard and most of what you make is given to those who do nothing, then no one works toward greatness as their hard work gets bastardized

I'm really enjoying this show, it just puts you right there in the shoes of the POTUS and to see kiefer act so dignified but tough at the same time really makes you buy in to the whole show
I just finished binge-watching the series. I think everyone in the series is terrific but Kiefer Sutherland has really, really won my heart. And after this interview, it seems that he is an incredibly humble and decent human being himself which reflected in the humanity that shines through Tom Kirkman's leadership. Also, mad respect for Kal Penn, for putting his country over his career. Most importantly, being a government bureaucrat myself, this show made me introspect about the nature of leadership, about the dilemmas and the stress, and the personal sacrifices that often go unseen, about the righteous fury we are supposed to feel in the face of greed and corruption and political partisanship but often fail to do, about our own duty towards our country...just as Mr. Sutherland points out. It does make me THINK. That's what makes it great in my eyes. Kudos to the creators including the actors and every individual associated with the project to bring out such a thought-provoking yet entertaining drama that mirrors the reality yet gives us a hint of an ideal!
WOW...I love this TV series!!! I cannot believe I watched this whole two season series in 48hours. Maggie Q, Kiefer Sutherland, Michael J Fox and the rest of cast were outstanding. One of my favorite shows to watch now on Netflix. More seasons please. Story lines are excellent!!! Keep up the great and fantastic work.
the show just barely started. I'm sure kiefer sutherland doesn't want to have the public still see him as jack Bauer. completely different show, and character. also this character was not really ment to be president so that is why he appears weak and has no idea what to do. I'm sure as the show goes on We will see a much stronger president character. I think kiefer sutherland is doing a very good job as always. can't wait to see what happens next.
avocados and almond's yeah it's a very interesting show because much like 24 itself, this new show is throwing us a curve ball. Even though he's not a government agent in this show does not mean the show isn't good. It's actually almost like an accompaniment of 24 where we see some presidents make the hardest decisions but maintain their composure which is seen with David Palmer, a good friend of Jack's. Essentially this is a show about the other side of the chaos we know so we'll from 24nwhere different things happen and the political drama is really focused on. That's what makes it unique.
In coming off from watching the phenomenal 24 this is an absolute wonderful treat to keep the momentum going watching designated survivor Kiefer Sutherland is absolutely phenomenally exceptionally great in this continuing drama designated survivor With its 24 overtones it is still keeping me on my toes with unexpected surprises and heart wrenching reveals of who is really the enemy of the president My head is off to the riders and to the actors within this many drama you are an asset to our world
Last night around 9 pm I told my dad about Designated Survivor (I had already seen it but my dad hadn’t), he loves these kind of shows let’s just say he ended up watching 6 episodes in a row😂
KS is a great characteristic . His voice has a soothing algorithm. His love for history deems him adaptable for stately manor. Domestic as well as foreign issues are covered with narratives denoted as a faucet for reality taking licenses for reality. CAL PENN White House experience helps to make these events authentic.

i really like about this show that it's so easy to feel like Kirkman because he has been just a normal guy and then this happend. he is like a representative of the normal guys and I think for the most Netflix viewers it's easy to feel like this guy
Sadly it has been cancelled for more season, but in the long term that is good, you see, what producers always get wrong is that when their shows - like House of Cards - become popular, they make more and more seasons until there is like 6 or 7 seasons and in the future when the hype dives down, people who discover the show won't be likely to watch it all with the whole season thingy

I just finished watching the entire 3 seasons. Seasons 1 & 2 were awesome, I could not get enough. Season 3 sucked, no Mike, Kendra, Lyor & Trey, they killed off my favorite from the show, Hannah. Way too much cussing, showing sex scenes and actually kissing between gay men is disgusting, bringing in topics on Transgenders. I'm sorry that is not normal behavior, this younger generation brain washed believing it is normal behavior. Normal People have issues if they have no problem watching Men or Women in sex scenes or actually kissing on TV, I had to look away and my wife said out loud disgusting because that is a normal response. Please do not say what is normal people because anyone should know what that is.

I love hate this show. It gives me so much anxiety. Nothing gets resolved and I'm always at the edge of my seat. Cannot wait for episode 11.
