My best tip for eggs, if you can, get them from a local farmer. Someone who will let you see how they raise and feed their birds. My birds receive the best care, with unlimited outdoor access so long as it is safe (when temps are dangerously low, I do keep them in for their own safety), and they are fed a species appropriate diet. They have 5 acres to roam on and get checked several times a day for any injuries or early illness signs. That being said, your local chicken farmer may tell you no eggs certain times of the year. I know this is sad for everyone, but it is for the best for the chickens to give them time off from laying in the cold months. Lots of commercial farmers will add artificial lighting to force the chickens to lay more in the off season. This will shorten the life expectancy of the bird, and also increase their risk of egg yolk peritonitis which is a deadly infection caused by an egg breaking inside of the bird's reproductive tract. I have only ever lost 1 bird to EYP and she was an older bird that I had rescued from a production farm that was about to slaughter her.
And not to mention in the grass they eat worm, flys, other insects, and some veggies (including the same grass), and also get some tiny stones to help their digestion
It's literally sus that all these rich celebrities claim to eat such simple, affordable, 'relatable' foods xD
A couple years ago I went 100% gluten free. As I was experimenting. I found that I did feel a lot better! But I was also eating gluten free toast or fruit for breakfast, 1 avocado per day, eating tomatoes and cucumbers for lunch, and chicken and veg for dinner. So it could have just been my diet change anyway. But I felt so energized and great on this diet.
All Irish butter is from grass fed cows as basically all cows are grass fed here, also our free range chicken are truly free range and treated well, we have much stricter food production rules over here.
is it the same with England when it comes to butter ?
@@mary-annesade I don’t know, they may not have the same strict food production laws as they do in the EU since Brexit
Lucky
I love kerrygold Irish butter!
@@ronjalag9710 Never thought our chickens are treated that well!!!
As a brazilian, what a BEAUTIFUL pronunciation of Açaí! Congrats!
Doctor Youn's skin is beautiful! I will follow any of his advice on the matter.
Y'know... all this grass fed pasture raised organic stuff is lovely if you can get it, but honestly, this is a privilege for the affluent that John and Jane Doe on the street can't afford. It's hard enough to just afford things that aren't processed to death and crammed with chemicals and the runaway inflation has made it touch and go just to pay basic bills.
I'm Indonesian, we make smoothies with avocadoes. Toss avocado + white/brown/palm sugar + ice into a blender and voila: avocado smoothie. For more unhealthy version, add condensed milk (adjust the ratio with sugar for desired sweetness) top it with a scoop of vanilla/chocolate ice cream. I kid you not, avocadoes taste good with chocolate. So when I found out westerners eat avocadoes as savory dishes, it really blows my mind. IDK if it's because I'm so used to drink sweet avocadoes, eating the savory ones don't impress me much. 😅
I love my vegetables ....all of my kids love fruits and veggies, but when they went through a no "vegetables" stage my food processor came to the rescue, and I still use it when I cook for my mother in law. She absolutely hates green vegetables, or orange, or red, etc. And the only fruit she will eat has to be in a pie.
Same!! The amount of greens I slipped in my sauces and pasta dishes to trick my daughter! I also used to put a tiny bit in her plate everytime.... took years but she eventually tried them all and eventually liked some! Having diversity in my cooking methods helped a lot too!
I love avocado. I will bust one open and salt and pepper them for a snack sometimes
I think I got lucky with my kids. They eat fruits and vegetables; they don’t like all of them, but they do try.
You are truly lucky
“these companies engineer food so that you keep eating it and giving them more money” *laughs in type one diabetes*
So I used to NEVER eat fruit and veg and somehow I always had regular bowel movements. Before becoming pregnant it never really seemed to matter what I ate. I was always regular. However, I did eat a lot of bran flakes (it's actually my favorite cereal)
I think you're going to have to take out a loan in order to be able to afford pasture-raised eggs 😳
Not all celebrities are intelligent! Some are very ignorant about health! You are what you eat!
I'm lucky, I get pasture raised eggs. The farmer has beef, he puts the cows in the paddock then moves them to new paddock. Next the chickens move in an get a full buffet from the churned up ground and the poop has so many flies and maggots. The eggs are just beautiful. I also purchase pastured fed and finished chicken and beef. Rosemary Perth Western Australia 72 yrs
I love vegetables. My mom make my sister and I eat it since little by mixing it with the food (i.e. onions, carrots, zucchini and red pepper cut very little for the spaghetti sauce). And my dad loves fruits, if he’s hungry, he grab a fruit or a bunch and eat it. Me too.
The only thing that I don’t eat is ground or processed meat and ham… I hate hamburgers, sausage and all types of ham. Sometimes I can’t even smell it, but I do eat meat (beef, chicken, pork, fish, eggs).
And I don’t like sodas, that’s my BFF fault bc she started to drink only water and I imitated her… so water or natural juice
Wondering what you think about collagen supplement "creamer" powders like Vital Proteins? I got a trial container of Vital Proteins coffee creamer, and lately have been putting one scoop (half a serving) along with a stevia packet or a few drops of agave in my coffee. I'd love to see your take on all the up-and-coming collagen dietary supplement products out there!
Dont get too worried about people pretending they dont eat veggies or fruits. My man doesnt even how what the fries in his bigmac trio are made of.
😂😂😂😂
someone should tell Tiffany about Kool-aid pickles. Saves $$ and wrappers
I started using Kerrygold butter a few months ago and I will not go back to anything else.
I always eat veggies but fruit I tend to forget Bout. If my wife didn't cut it up and bring it to me I'd not even thinking about eating it. She's from a tropical island.
I want him to try the pickle thing and give us commentary
3-4 cups a day is high? I drink a 12 cup pot before noon😂
Lol the Pickle thing made me scream!! I believe that’s a culture thing within the black community. As kids we would get the huge dill pickles with either Hot Cheetos or large peppermint sticks in the middle after church! That was a whole childhood throwback from Tiffany Haddish 😂
I think it's regional friend. I ain't never heard of that. Pink pickles, sure. Kool-aid ppicked, sure. Peppermint/jolly rancher pickles? Nah
😲🤢🤮
Pork fat + eggs = indigestion for me
Pork is not at all healthy or helpful to ur body😅. It just contains many pathogens and viruses😅.
When I was a kid, it was popular to take a bite off a pickle, and then stick a strawberry twizzler down the center.
Dr. Youn I always love seeing your BTS edits!
My sister has problems with gluten, but not me. Though I do love some gluten-free breads and cakes.
He is probably lactose and don't know he I'd and that is why he goes to the bathroom a lot. Also wondering if it was how he grew up because fruit and vegetables cost a lot more in the cities.
Lil Yatchy probably drinks Metamucil or some other psyllium husk based drink. Also adding ground flax seed to food is another excellent source of fiber as well.
In the UK we are encouraged to eat 5 portions of fruit and vegetables every day!
We have pasture raised eggs but they are 5$ a box, and unfortunately on a budget i cant afford them
I eat the top off a big deli pickle and shove a candy cane down the middle and eat it that way! I’ve been doing that since 1968. It’s sooooo gooood!
Pringles are so bad for you. Did you know Pringles do not have potatoes in them? Hmmm Korean food YUMMY! Soy, garlic Korean Chicken, BBQ chicken, beef bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, mandoo, chap chae, bossam, Jjigae, 비빔밥, 떡볶이 - oh now I am hungry, time to cook!
That explains why Pringles taste awful like cardboard.
I will say that I hate ice cream also 😂 if you want to settle down a young child just tell them that you don't not like ice-cream 😂😊
Lol yauhty probably eats processed fruits &vegg just don't know, French fries & ketchup are counted as veg in school lunches
I don’t watch celebrity videos, and but appreciate this channel. But wow, after seeing those “celebrity” clips. it’s no wonder we have an epidemic of narcissism across the culture. The cult of personality is indeed that.
I am on the carnivore diet and I’m doing better than ever.
I would never defend grimes cause she annoys the hell out of me but I do have to say that video of her ‘what I eat in a day’ video was more about her weird pregnancy cravings/what she ate while pregnant so that’s (probably lol) not how she eats on the regular💀
I prefer fruits and veggies but I prefer veggies to fruits. And I love avocado.
Lol people always say cups when they mean MUGS, though. Those are 12 oz. That alone is actually 3 coffees.
I dont eat any fruits and veggies... 😅 im 32 and never liked them. I poop maybe once a week. And its like a small child. But i dont like them. Even on smoothies. I do love fruits. But rarely eat them. 😅 and veggies taste like dirt. Although i love avacados
I do not understand the hype with shake shack fries; I can literally go to Stop and Shop and get a whole bag and fry them and they taste the exact same.
I cut a piece of avocado and a banana and eat that. It's delicious and I also don't like avocado except for hass and fuerte.
Milk and coffee makes me go to the bathroom. Same with beans
I mean some of them are just referring to what they have for snacks. He's acting like those are their staple diet. It's actually not true to have fiber to be regular, I am carnivore and I'm more regular than when I was an omnivore/clean eating. Ask any carnivore
Add a few slices of avocado to a BLT it's amazing.
dr.mike being there lol
Chile eggs are too expensive for all that..🥴🤦🏾♀️
I have to have my coffee in the morning and I just add a splenda package and whitener in it. I learned to use coffee whitener because my boys were allergic to milk and I could not have it in the house because they were into all the time. Coffee is the only thing where I use a sweetner. I usually try and eat healthy because there is so much sugar diabetes in my family. I am amused with what eggs to buy. My grandparents used to go to the hen house and get the eggs from underneath the chicken and they were free range.
Kool-aid pickles. It's a black southern thing. I didn't like it when I had one.
easiest and most effective way to avoid animal cruelty is to go vegan. Plus, a vegan diet can be at least as healthy as an omnivorous diet.
Pad thai is delicious!
Tea also stain your teeth...
Vital Farms eggs cannot be beat!
They for sure say some of these for attention 😂
Super intéressant wow gluten!!!!!
Just remember to tell people that if they want to be treated for coeliac they need to be eating gluten.
Also, "convenient" gluten free foods like bread can be higher in carbs so that's something to watch out for.
While I see you're pretty much recommending healthier rather than convenience foods, it's just something to be aware of if you're going gf
Dieticians are your friends ❤
Doctor Mike!
MAN this is aweful. i recognise this is all chopped up videos but they all sound so unhealthy. i think apart from chocolate (70% cacao usually) or the odd burger and fries; im not a fan of junk food at all. Give me all the fresh food possible. and for noodles; everyone must try a vermicelli thai crackling pork salad bowl. incredible.
Love me some pad see ew, Dr. Youn!
I don’t eat any form of fiber and I poop just fine. Humans do not require fiber too poop. It in fact; complicates the human DIGESTIVE system.
Fiber is indigestible, which inhibits the digestive processes. It also removes digestive bile from our digestive system, which is not ok.
Fiber also causes micro tears in the digestive tract, which is why mucous gets created. Mucous is a defense mechanism; it’s why when we get debris in our lungs or nasal passages…we create mucous.
How did humans manage during the ICE AGE? Not a lot of fiber available…
And then, doctor, there is the matter of babies. Breast fed babies notably do not consume fiber…but the baby still poops. No fiber at all!
How do they do it?
Breast milk has oligosaccharides. It’s the third highest content in breast milk behind lactose and lipids. It is a prebiotic fiber.
Also, bottle feed babies and very young children have a lot of constipation issues..
If you have issues with soluble fiber, than you aren’t drinking enough water. Insoluble can help aid digestion, or other food that it is eaten with.
In the ice age, food was scarce. You wouldn’t want as much fiber because you would want your body to store and hold on to more food due to not wanting to starve to death but without fiber, you are more likely to get sick too since you will lack microbiomes that feed into your immunity.
@@jenniferpippin3 fiber doesn’t feed our immune system, it weakens it. Your comment about the Ice Age also makes ZERO sense, especially considering your assertion that we need fiber or we would get sick.
Fiber is indigestible, which is why human DIGESTIVE systems have issues with it.
Think about what happens if you flush stuff that shouldn’t be flushed, like some socks. What happens?
I think avocados are disgusting. Too fatty.
food scientist here, the amount of protein and nutrients in an egg have nothing to do with how they are raised. Also, chickens do not give a f.

you are just spreading so much pseudoscience right now about food that it isn't funny. the only thing you got right was that "cage-free" is a marketing gimmick.
