I'm still trying to imagine literally grabbing handful of blood and removing them. I keep getting horror movie images. Fantastic saves on both of these! It really shows you care about your patients
Yknow honestly that first story is a sitatuation I think all doctors finds themselves in where they know what they're doing is questionable, but want to do something nice or the right thing and it ends up having complications. I think its how you deal with it afterwards that show what kind of a human you are. Some doctors could have said "well she INSISTED on having it done in the window room, so its NOT MY FAULT!" but you felt bad, because you could have said no, and you slept little that night to make sure that woman was okay. That shows a man that truly cares about his patients and fellow people :))
Wow, I have a major surgery coming up in July, mastectomy on one breast, breast reduction on the other, and reconstruction using tissue/fat/skin from my stomach (tummy tuck). I never stress out about anything but bleeding would be a concern. Glad they’re keeping me overnight in the hospital.
As a Nurse, I have to admire your dedication to your patients. I also admire your ability to sprint between patients....😂 Nothing like having to scrub back into surgery, either. 😂
OMG. I don't know how you deal with the responsibility of being a surgeon, plastic or otherwise. I couldn't handle that myself. You must have nerves of steel. I have the deepest respect for any surgeon. It would be nerve wracking.
Crazy stories! Great job handling those situations, and what is the best part of this is sharing these instances. People could learn from them, and also have a better idea of how serious any surgery is!
FANTASTIC to heAr some of the things that Can go wrong. Keeping it real, I like that. We are so tired of all fairs or complications that so many UA-cam-video edit out, or just not tell ABOUT. As though they are unable to do anything that Gores wrong. Love it dr youn
Your cartoon "You" is BADASS!!!! Altho, a driving instruction or two MIGHT be in order. Your humility is very refreshing. Horror stories, but fortunately a doctor who can think on his feet and save the day. (Don't get a cape tho.. might be a bit much...)
Something I didn’t catch the first time you posted this video- if she lived 2 hours away why would you not have her immediately go to the ER rather than make her drive all the way over while her face is possibly losing blood supply and could start necrosis??? You said ERs have hyluronadase,
Thanks for sharing what you know, I had my lipoma at my back in my right shoulder blade 3 days ago and it was a nightmare experienced because the plastic surgeon sutures is horrible and he excised way too far not just the lump, I was shocked, upset and frustrated with the result when I remove the dressing. My throat is dry and irritates I don't know why they need to put tube in my throat with just small lipoma, general anesthesia was used. And when I open my hospital chart account I saw the 10 drugs they given me at one time before the surgeon start the operation, the following are:cefazolin, dexamethasone, ephedrine, fentanyl, lidocaine, midazolam, ondansetron, profolol, rocunium, and sugammadex. I don't understand why they have to give all these meds with external excision, I need further explanation, thanks I would appreciate.
These horror stories is why I'll never get plastic surgery if it's not an emergency situation. People trust doctors too much. (Or surgeons shoud I say). They're just human at the end of the day. And besides, the human body is never meant to get plastic surgery, or any surgery at all. Just learn to love your look. It makes you unique.
I love that you're open and honest about the risks of the different procedures and your not-so-perfect outcomes. Plastic surgery has been fairly normalized here in the US, and I think that's great. I do not begrudge another person the opportunity to combat some of their insecurities. On the other hand, however, I feel like it's been normalized to the point that some people seem to think these procedures are no more risky than a facial from an aesthetician, and that just isn't the case. After hearing what you've said about BBLs and butt implants, I'm no longer interested (tho I still want a lift, as I've lost a considerable amount of weight). Same for the breast augmentation - just a lift, please.
how are costs of eg the hyaluronic acid filler complication covered? Days in the hospital followed by hyperbaric therapy can't possibly be "affordable", and given the cause was a 100% unnecessary procedure, I have a suspicion that American health insurance companies would not be enthusiastic to cover the costs of complication...
I'm guessing Dr Youn might have paid for it because he either felt responsible or simply didn't want to get sued. There's also insurance you can get for cosmetic surgery that will cover complications which I would highly recommend to get
what does her being young have to do with anything? Is he also supposed to tell his older patients "You're old, wrinkles are a normal part of ageing, you don't need anything"
Exactly... What the hell could be wrong with a twenty something year old face. I have a 69 yo and wouldn't touch it with stuff and people think I'm in my 50's!
The visuals were hilarious despite the horrifying stories 😅
I burst out laughing where his legs are going up all those stairs 😂😂
Especially, the parking on a tree. I'm still giggling. 😆
I'm still trying to imagine literally grabbing handful of blood and removing them. I keep getting horror movie images. Fantastic saves on both of these! It really shows you care about your patients
You're an idiot.🤡
Wow, I'm impressed your hands were steady enough to do surgery in the midst of all of that. LOL
Right? I'd be so anxious in a situation like that!

.....and his licence.
Sounds like Dr Youn went from surgeon to sprinter. Great to know the patients recovered well.

I would never have any kind of surgery in anything but a hospital. The surgical centers aren't safe either. 😳
@@Mehki227 I never said anything about a surgical center. My surgery will be done at the hospital.
@7trails thank you, I am. But have one last surgery to go November 1st. I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
I love this so much. Hearing how you deal with patients in a bad situation shows what a good doctor you are.

“Those 3 LETTERS no one wants to see, 911” 😂

Great visuals doc 😂😂❤ The whole reaching into the lady’s neck and pulling out clumps of blood 😱
The day I get a facelift, probably in my late 50's or early 60's, I want a caring surgeon like you.
Greetings from Denmark
This is without doubt my favourite video of yours. Fascinating and terrifying in equal parts.
I love this second channel even more, it's really helpful to your med school goer followers. Thanks Dr. Youn.< 3
'Med school goer.'??
Like you're not, l hope.
Good professional, and great human : beeing able to share these difficult stories
I absolutely love this video - although I hope you don’t have too many horror stories, I would love to hear more!!

This is so crazy 😅 thanks for sharing! It’s nice to see a surgeon talk about these things

These visuals are fantastic….. the driving one looks like “DrYoun Cage” from Drive Angry. Lol
You're the best doctor ❤
Brave to report what can go wrong, and did.
Your cartoons are the BEST!!!

He said that luckily that hospital had it. Its possible that not all hospitals keep a large surplus on hand.
It's also possible she was staying overnight nearby to heal before she drove home

Dear Sir you are so clever and so brave I am scaring is like really scaring well done doctor you are the best🥰👌🍀🙏👼🧜♂️👼💪🏴
If you pull back on the syringe before injecting that keeps you from injecting where you shouldn’t.
I didn’t think you could top the first story! Was l ever wrong!

I agree. I have often said, can you imagine if you died because of vanity!
Like the animated background

I love the illustrations!

Same
@@kelleywyskiel8513 or maybe we're all going crazy 🤷🏻♀️🤣🤔 Oh well 😂
I think it's re-upload, not the first time he has re-upload his old content, maybe yt had some problem with the old one
Sounds like doctors need a police light to put on the top of the car.
I am wondering why a 20 something would need facial filler.
Did you ever think of telling that first patient, "You're young, in your 20's, NL folds are a normal part of your face, you don't need anything."
Ah but then the doctor can't make money off her
what does her being young have to do with anything? Is he also supposed to tell his older patients "You're old, wrinkles are a normal part of ageing, you don't need anything"
I agree that maybe it was not necessary.
Omgg
How about sue you?!
NEXT TIME!!! YOUR ARE A MAD MAN 👞 LOVE VIDEO 😅😆 BUT NOT MY DOCTOR 💊
why did this artist give you such a big nose??? lol
People. Leave your face alone! Dear God.
Exactly... What the hell could be wrong with a twenty something year old face. I have a 69 yo and wouldn't touch it with stuff and people think I'm in my 50's!
it’s dr youns fault for injecting her in the dark
wow I'm this early
I'm in the manufacturing industry but I feel all of these stories.
i ate the skinned body behind the wendys I work at
A very lucky man, she's twenty years old she doesn't need anything done to her face or body. 🤔🕯️🥀☠️🤕
I will avoid this !!!!no crazy so called beauty for me !!!!
Three letters you never want to see 9 1 1, lol.
Those are numbers.
Did you not wash your hands? You confess in public? Glad you fixed it. 🫣
