I sent this to a very dear old friend of mine when he was struggling after suddenly losing his young wife. To most, he was 'a wild man', but to those who really knew him, he was the very opposite, intellectual, witty, deeply kind and a sense of humour like none other. He passed away not long after we'd spoken about this track but I'm so glad he got to hear it from me. Always remembered. He was truly one of a kind. There will never be another Baff. Love you big man xx
I think the whole album is exellent. I love the tempo, the lyrics, the instruments, her voice. Sexy as ever, an dstill jerking emotions about. It is kinda new from here other stuff, but i love it, as with all 10, and the non releses. Heck she could make a mud pie, and i would think it gold. lol
This album ironically came 9 years to late for me - I spent Christmas in Lapland with Aerial, this would have been dare I say better due to it being more apt. 10/10 for both though lol
This drummer is as good as Steve Jordan and Mitch Mitchell, maybe even better. Didn't know drumming could sound so cold other instruments yeah cause they're melody driven but the drums though.

His '90s work wasn't all together dismissed, especially with hindsight. 1995's '1: Outside' is now very well thought of critically and his probable final albums of 2002 and 03 were very, very well received. I'll concede that maybe he did too much too often and did lose his way. Kate does give herself a lot of time if it's needed. I don't think this new album of hers is safe at all though. Understated but wildly ambitious imo.

I hate the rest of the new album, and I am someone who was desperate for new KB material. I think I will have to give up, and go back to Aerial .... Hounds of Love ..... The Dreaming ....
