It is indeed Justin!
Very nice to see that they *make chocolate,* instead of selling the raw beans only.
There is also a very tasty chocolate in Ecuador. Their verity of chocolate has a very high fat content. The chocolate from the mountains of Ecuador is like butter. Can recommend !
The Mexican one has less fat content, it's a good one for drinks or tea/coffee with cacao.
epSos.de chocolate abuelita in Mexico is the absolute pinicle of chocolate circles to make hot chocolate. It's the absolute best.
I love even eating the circle itself

During my Primary School days, I use to split open a cocoa pod and suck on those sweet seed pods. .. we had a tree growing beside the house... Good times! -😂
You can eat those?
@@tomhill3248 yes, the fruit around the nib isn't the chocolate, the hard part is. The fruit is edible and it is very sweet.

I once ate a pod in Peru. It was disgusting.

Finally something sweet about Guatemala
Cause thats all main stream media looks about. i been to guatemala 4 times and I had the most fun i ever had.
As a person learning spanish, their dialect is really clear and easy to understand! I wonder if they're speaking that way because of the video or if that's just the way they normally speak.
Yep, that's how Guatemalans speak. Honduran and Salvadoran people speak pretty similarly too
I’ve never seen much on Guatemala, main stream wise, and this is quite refreshing. It’s nice to see yourself represented yk, much love ❤️
Jasmine The Flower yeah Guatemala is a very underrated country.. There is so many things that come from Guatemala one example is most of Starbucks coffee is Guatemalan..
gringation honduras and el salvador are also underrated Americans usually only talk about mexico

I just love these videos because they help me realize the smaller and bigger things in life we often take for granted.
alright see yall in Guatemala
Im from Borneo Island, Sarawak part Of Malaysian Country. Our family owned a big Cacao farm. I use to eat the raw cacao seed when i was a kid. The taste of the seed is wayyyyyyyyyyyy so much different than exact chocolate taste but it is a very vital component to produce the chocolate.
Bella mi Guate ♥️ thank you for making this video to show our beautiful country and our delicious chocolate ♥️
Lupus en Guatemala/ Elda beautiful meaning full of crime

I’m proud to be Guatemalan 🇬🇹😀
That chocolate looks very pure and delicious. I find the best chocolate is usually made of a few simple high quality ingredients. Like cocoa beans, cocoa butter, sugar, and vanilla. I would like to sample some of that local fine Guatemalan chocolate.
i love how the place where he grew up is called Chocolá
My grandparents from both sides used to make chocolates from cacao and they are from Caraga Region in the Philippines. I had the fondiest memories of my lola bringing a banana leaf of chocolate to our house as she visits often and my nanay (mother) made hot coco. I remembered the oily contents like bubbles I was curious and the taste that was different from the commercial ones.
I have now learned that trabaho means work in filipino and spanish

Ecuador cacao is significantly better, sorry to say.
the aztecs also drank hot chocolate expect it was never sweet but very bitter

Korean Guatemala resident here. I'm not a big fan of sweetened chocolates, but oh baby the dark chocolate here tastes like the cure to cancer.
Food of the gods is actually chocolate inclusively raw cacao combined with psilocybin(psychoactive mushrooms) commonly in the area being psilocybe cubensis.
So this video is leaving out the biggest part of the history for the name.
This comment needs more attention. Food of the gods is always mushrooms that's the whole reason I clicked lol.
Skipper you and I both brother!
Finally showing some of the cultural arts that make Guatemala what it is! 🇬🇹

I’m just gonna grow it in my backyard
Good luck
Aidan Harmer good fuckin luck my dude.
Certain foods can only be grown in certain types of soil and some need more water and sun than others that's why they are grown in south America because there is a lot of rain and healthy soil
I hope you live in a tropical highland climate, with volcanic soil.

We had cacaoctrees in my family home back when I was younger. Freshly made tasted so good!! The stuff in supermarkets don't even compare

I love my country ^-^ Go Guatemala 🇬🇹
At least this taught how to make chocolate in multiple ways.
Now, does anyone know where to buy cacao plants/beans?
You can buy it online but the delivery fee isnt gonna be in your side if you do that
Chocolate or Xocolatl (original Nahuatl language of the Aztecs). Chocolate was “invented,” by the Olmecs in Mèxico aprox 8,000 years ago. Moctezuma the ll had millions of cacao seeds. One of his favorite drinks was xocolatl (drink for the Gods).
Ahh... my dad's home country
Ahh my home country

Ahh your home country too
Ooo this reminds me of that one episode of Dora where she goes and meets the chocolate tree, and the tree gives her beans
Switzerland 🇨🇭: *I’ll buy your entire stock.*
Switzerland didn't invent chocolate Guatemala did
I'll miss you guys
I buy my "food of the gods" from the dollar store up the street.😅
Sadly that isn't as good as high quality chocolate. Commercial chocolate actually can't compare. Lindt, Hershey, Godiva, etc doesn't stand a chance against non-commercial chocolate.
It's barely even chocolate really.
The coffee at San Martin is amazing. If you dont understand what I'm talking about it's a cafe in Guatemala.
Good job Great Big story! You are back..
The chocolate looks like gems with that shine
Yumm, now I really want to try artisanal Guatemalan Chocolate
Flowing chocolate is sooooo beautiful.
"Chocolate is passion"
"Chocolate makes people happy"q
"Chocolate brings diabetes"
Living for too long will kill you.
Eat in moderation and exercise and you will be a-okay. When I see people controlling every ounce of fat and each calorie not because they are overweight but because they are obsessed with nutrition I think I would rather die than live like this. I definitely wouldn't befriend a person that won't eat anything with me unless it's a lettuce leaf. Every moment spent with her nagging would be a waste.
Chocolate is Passion (True)... Chocolate makes people happy (True)... Chocolate brings Diabetes... (False), unless you are referring to candies that happen to have some chocolate... If you check your facts, you will see that actually dark chocolate is good to keep sugar in check
Oh my, Guatemala looks like our country.
What is your country?
Who else thought the title read “ gudetama” instead of “gudemala” 😂 lol. Just me??
The grinder is from South India we call it a wet grinder usually used to grind idly batter...
