Here is my beginners guide for the Insta360 One X. If you are brand new to 360 and more importantly have just received your new Insta360 One X and want to learn how to use it than this tutorial and training guide is for you. In this guide I go over everything from the functionality of the hardware and menu, then we dive into the Insta360 one X app and learn how to edit 360 video and photos on your smartphone or tablet. You're very right. I bought this camera years ago and took a video riding on the golf card through our golf course. Never did any editing or anything again. The editing program which the camera came with is very good so I edited some other photos and made a short film.
I forgot I bought the One X years ago. I took a lot of scrolling to find UA-cam video for the One X. Most guides are for 3X and 4X. Thank you for this guide, I doubt I would ever figure out the menus and editing.

I think the best option is to view this video completely at one sitting. This way you know that it is structured into a series of loose "chapters". Now I can come back to this video and use it to help me work with the features it need at each step. Brad P said "perfect timing". I totally agree. I have had my camera about 2 weeks but didn't use it until I got a new iPad tablet last week. (BTW: Most android tablets don't have a powerful enough processor. I learned the hard way, and had to return it for the latest iPad). I a have a question. I was my under the impression that one had to export 5.7K video to a computer to edit it. I use Windows based PowerDirector 360, so that I can do titling and color correction, but I do want to try on-iPad editing that you demonstrated. Really great tut. And you absolutely have to do the advanced usage tuts ASAP. I subscribed and added a "thumbs up". 😄
Excellent tutorial. I am in the shopping mode currently comparing different brands. Your demeanor of calm mature instruction sold me. I was comparing it to the Ricoh Theta V and the tutorial was done by some clowning around Millennial. She shut that whole possibility down within 30 seconds.

Thank You for saving me from wasting more time on Guides which are not even close to Guides....Just to help beginners kindly add one point if the footage is rotating unnecessarily then you need to gyro calibrate the camera. I wasted 2 days in solving this rotating footage issue. Thank you Once again.

I use this so easy with it. Didn’t take much time to figure it out. I can do every thing from my phone. Edit u name it

Very good introduction to this awesome camera, just for the record once you have connected via wifi the first time you don’t have to turn on the camera first just launch the app and it will automatically turn on the Insta oneX.

You're tutorial has really made a difference in my learning to use my Insta360 One X. While my initial 360 work is not as venturesome as most I've
seen, I am claiming the first Royal Coronation recorded and posted to FB and YT in 360 as mine. And it happened here in the U.S. Europe eat your heart out. 🤣🤣
Thinking of picking one up.. Have some questions for you..
1) How long does the battery last while recording videos..? And How long does it take to recharge to full again..?
2) What is the size of the videos i.e. For how many minutes/hours can one record videos in say 64 or 128GB card..?
3) Coming to cards, have you tried a 256GB card, usually a lot of companies say they only support smaller cards but a lot of times larger cards work just fine.. ( Something that I have learnt over the years)..
agree with the other reply on battery time, video size can be variable depending on resolution and how much is going on etc... personally on 5.7k 30fps I get about 1 minute to 1gb of storage, you can put a 128Gb card in max according to spec but your battery will need updating more frequently to fill it however if you plan to edit with the files on the camera it might be useful to have a large card, personally I just copy them off at the end of each session. not tried a 256Gb card, totally possible it will work as you say they only test what their resources allow for but time wise your limited by battery more than memory. I carry a USB power bank so its topped up when in the pocket

Great introduction to 360 photography and specifically to this tremendous camera. It is presenters like yourself that anticipate questions people may have and cover them as you progress. It is like you are providing the information your own curiosity went through learning the camera in this situation. Some people may find it too detail but I think it is fine as long as you stay on the general topic. You followed the presentation method I have always used which is picking a specific topic and first tell people up front what your are going to be telling them about, then get into the details of telling them and then the final of the three step process is to summarize of what you told them. Thank you for a great informational/instructional video. You also noted along the way of things for more detail but stayed on track. This led me to subscribe to see anticipated future videos which I am sure will be just as good! Thanks again.

How do you feel about editing on the iPad as opposed to the iPhone? Obviously the bigger real estate is a plus, but is it much preferable to the phone? I just picked up the One X and intend on using it with my Pixel, but I never though about the iPad Pro series. Thanks for the video, I appreciate the layout and informative flow.

Good content! Just one thing I felt missing was that you are reviewing a 360° product but not once did you show the camera by rotating it yourself. I landed up on this video to see physics of how this camera is designed. Would be great if you can add small clip in beginning to show the full product from all angles.

Does anyone know if the multiview option that he talks about at 19:00 is only available for ISO? I have an andriod phone and I don't see the option.
Suggestion: Organize your tutorial video into chapters and put timestamps for each chapter in the description.
