Jan 20, 2023 Can you imagine this dude is creepin up to 70yrs old. And he can & does still belt out these tunes from our youth! He’s FABULOUS! Keep on Rockin T Shaw! 💕
Oh my god, seriously . just ethereal. What an illustrious career Tommy has built, the consummate professional. This version definitely took me high enough. Thank you everyone.
One of the most beautiful American ballads ever! Absolutely gorgeous! I remember listening to this as a child in South America, didn't even speak English back then, but the melody and harmony was so powerful it transcended language barriers.
Watching the conductor is a total joy!!!! I love that this is done with youth from a different generation. Watching their faces give me hope that music will not die!!!!
Such a beautiful song by one of the most gifted singer/guitar players of all time. I love when professionals work with the youth and pass on their talents to schools ,university`s and music schools. Very moving. A lifelong memory for the students. Looks good on their resume too . Glenn Augustyn
This is so amazing. Tommy is, of course, outstanding. That orchestra is awesome. The leader is so fun to watch. She makes it so fun. I know Tommy is so impressed with all of them. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I dedicated this beautiful song to a woman who wasn't worth it, a few days after finishing I was with another, but it doesn't hurt, thanks Damn Yankees.
I am listening this performance for the 5th times within a week. This man is a fantastic musician. The song goes straight in the heart. Thank you for writing and performing such a masterpiece.
I will always have the pleasure of being at a concert at my high school in Chicago in the early 70's. Even then the original Styx, then known as TR4, were fantastic. You know they would soar. A concert I will never forget.
I've been following music since 1971 after I was born my father had played classic rock the whole time he was a keyboard player and they played Styx was one of the biggest bands that they played throughout all the bars in Ohio when I was five I picked up my first drum set and played it pretty well then in 1981 my parents moved on to Florida where I moved with him of course and and when I was 11 years old I picked up the cello through Middle School and played it both through middle school and high school in the meantime I picked up playing the guitar when I was 15 years old and I just have to say thank you so much for your music and your contribution I only hope that today's youth will pick up music the way it should be and your voice is like an angel coming down from the sky everytime I hear it it makes me cry and I just want to thank thank you sir for your contribution by the way I'm from Cleveland as well
As I understand it, they are not disbanded. The issue is that touring cuts into Deer Season and Ted has issues with that. As a Damn Yankee, I am saddened by that, as a deer hunter, I get it.
@@hoosierdaddy9210 Hannah Shaw is Tommy's daughter. Absolutely without a doubt, she is all over the internet pictured with him! She is also well known in animal rights as the Kitten Lady. Same person. Both Tommy and Hannah are highly respected individuals, talented kind caring sensitive people.

The smile of the conductor's face when her grp joins the chorus and then Tommy settles in.....magic

And the kids did too
She always reminds me on Janice from The Sopranos
Of course she got into it. She’s got Tommy fucking Shaw on her stage singing an epic song. It doesn’t much better than that.
I'd be excited too to be able to record with Tommy. Especially on a cool song like Higher.
