@@brianbird3756 At some higher levels of speeding, the speeder has take ownership of the lane changes.
It's much safer for the guy with the big speed differential to move around the slower vehicles.
If you're doing 80 in a 70 and a guy comes by doing 90, it's his job to make that happen, and safer if he does all the maneuvering.

If you didn't camp in the passing lane and moved over to the middle lane like you're supposed to when not passing, maybe people wouldn't pass you on the right or tailgate you to incentivize you to GET OUT OF THE PASSING LANE! It doesn't matter you're doing 10k over, you're slower than the vehicles trying to pass you.

The two bikers could have moved over to the middle lane and let the driver in the blue car pass them? And driving 110km/h in a100km/h sone is not a good reason for lanehogging. Are they driving in norway? Not every country has that rule. Afaik in the united states for example you can use every lane you want and can pass someone on the right side.
@@andyk293 Negative. most states will have a sign on the highway stating slower vehicles to the right. Also VA recently passed a law stating it is illegal to impede traffic in the left lane regardless of speed.

Filtering isnt a God given right where all other road users must make way. Filtering is ok when there is space to do so. And yes I ride a bike and filter. I also accept there a lot of frustrating drivers out there, live with it and chill out.

Saw a Harley rider doing it on I-20 going through Midland. I honked at him and waved my finger. He did the typical biker gesture by telling me that I'm number one. Nah bro, I'm not mad that you're filtering, it's just that I drive these roads all day everyday and know how dangerous they are. I've seen traffic stopped on the interstate and then seen 80mph traffic sandwich a four door Silverado between two semis. That Chevy was about 4' long by the time everything was all said and done, two souls lost. Hell, that road damn near killed me in May and I was in a car for Pete's sake.

In the UK filtering is 100% legal and is there for safety and to de-congest the road. It benefits both parties involved and I'm fully for it as I always prefer a bike to be in front of me then behind me.
(I've never rid a bike so Don't assume I have if you plan to argue my point)

Thats the drivers responsibility to check his MIRROR blind spot...the human eye can check this with a quick shoulder check which is taught when you learn to drive or ride.

You DO put your safety in the hands of others every single time you go out your door. If you didn’t you would never go out...even in the house your safety is not guaranteed.
@@1ninjatiger Correct, safety is never guaranteed. Which is why I have to do my best to put the odds in my favor. Especially in traffic. I have to make myself as visible as possible but also ride as though I'm invisible. I always assume oncoming traffic doesn't see me and am as ready as I can be to avoid a collision. Calculating escape routes. Hoping like hell they will still be there in a half a second. Obviously they don't always exist. I always assume traffic around me does not know I'm there. I watch head and hand movements. Look at their eyes in their mirrors. Those are great predictors of their actions. Even doing that, some will absolutely do something ridiculously unpredictable and stupid. Constantly evaluating and adjusting my lane position when necessary. Yet sometimes I'll miscalculate and be in a bad spot.
Risk is inevitable. Hell, part of the reason we ride is the risk. Hop on an unarmed torpedo and blast through a constant fleet of giant ships. We want to see how fast it goes. How far it'll lean over. Test it's limits. Even in full gear which doubles as a body bag, we ride. We ride longer if we keep the odds in our favor.
When normal driving situations cause you to flip off other motorists it’s time to sell your bike

People what you see here isn’t how it’s supposed to be, riding is supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing to the soul.
