That was a lot of fun reminds me of me back in 1987 except a little older lol You didn’t need to convince me to subscribe 👍🏻
That's awesome, dude. Precisely the effect I was aiming for. 🍻
Great video Phil, getting the itch after seeing you on the beach! Getting ready to run my new Javelin I waited forty years for! Whooooo!
Oh woooow, now that's gonna be a great run! I hope you enjoy it, man! 🍻
A MB in the beach always looks awesome. 👍🏻
Thanks for watching, brother! 🤟
My kind of beetle bro!!
The Beetle king approves!!! 🤴 👊
Looking great Fil! Always think these are at home on the sand!
Thanks, my man! The MB is right in the zone out there on the sand, the MIP ball diff nearly locked makes a huge difference, too! 👍🏻
Nearly landed a backflip off your jump! 😃. Thanks for sharing your video mate👍🦘🇦🇺
A little more 💨💨💨 and I would have had it! Haha! Thanks for watching! 🤙
It is alway cool to see old school rigs rip!!! Great vid brother!!!🤘🤘🤘
Thanks pal! Felt great seeing the old girl tearing it up out there! 🍻
Hey that's really cool. I need to go back and watch the video where you install it. Nice work 👍
Thanks for watching, Pete! Yeah definitely check out the unboxing/build video, just don't pay attention to the fact that I was holding the chassis up side down for half the vid! 🤦
G'day mate wow what a beast some of the best running footage of MB i've seen yet unreal mate and you nearly got a back flip out sick. Makes me won't build another. Great video mate 👍👍
Hey Lionel, thanks again for watching and commenting. Glad you enjoyed the video, mate. I'll stomp the backflip on the next one, I swear! 😆
Awesome run. The chassis stablelizes the car a lot.
Absolutely! It felt really planted out there! 🍻
Who doesn't love a day at the beach? That little rascal sure seems to be eating up that sand like it's nobody's business! Good to see Fil.
I pity da fool who doesn't enjoy a nice day at the beach, RJ! 🤣
Great video mate 👌 😁 I've just discovered your channel and love it!! Currently binge watching all your videos and obviously liking them 😊
That's awesome, welcome aboard, Mark! Appreciate the great comment! 🍻
That Beatle looks cool bouncing down the beach, I’m glad you had some nice weather your way!
Yeah dude, we got pretty lucky for a few days there, I had to jump on it to take advantage of the low tide. 🍻
Most excellent Fil!!
Was waiting for this one!
That looked properly at home on the sand fella.
I've always been too concerned about sand getting in the drive shafts and MIP ball diff to run any of my ORV Chassis cars on the beach, and go with the CWO1'S instead as they are much better sealed.
Most interesting though-
That chassis upgrade seems to have made the rig much more planted, especially when jumping.
Mine always land 'nose heavy'.... where as yours was the opposite, has that chassis re distributed the weight a little?
Great footage there dude, and great to see the classic icons of our youth still creating such a fun driving experience after all these years..... who needs Arrma and Traxxas? 😂
👍 👍 👍 👍
Hey buddy, yeah you're totally right, the MB was definitely a little more planted than I'm used to. I did lower the rear shocks by apx 1 cm to keep the dogbones from popping out, so I imagine that helped out with handling a little bit, but overall, I think this chassis really stabilized the MB, and made it handle a lot better. Fingers crossed the sand is keeping out of the gearbox! I haven't taken it apart since I installed the MIP diff, several years ago. Cheers buddy! 🍻
Looks like a great day captured on video. Thanks for sharing with us!
Hey, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! Glad you enjoyed the vid! 🤙
Excellent video👍 I like you had the foresight to not paint the body! I didn’t think that far ahead and big lessons learned was never put effort into the body then put a fully tightened up MiP diff in it with brushless and 2s…….it doesn’t end well😢
Yeah I figured the is was going to be a runner, so I didn't bother painting it. And jist like you, Phil, when I dropped in the MIP diff, Super Stock BZ and a 2S lipo, punched it, the thing nearly did a backflip! 😆
Excellent action vid. Well done!
Thanks dude! 🍻
Right piece of kit that broski 👌
Haha thanks, my man! 🍻
Awesome buddy that was fun. I love that beetle, it looks so cool jumping over those logs. Excellent vid bud!
Thanks, my man! It was like a whole new Beetle out there, it was awesome! 🍻
Very nice run and edit Fil. Gotta love the Monster Beetle and that chassis looked to handle everything you threw at it. ATB buddy
Hey Rob, thanks for watching! I'm impressed with the Kingfly RC ORV chassis for sure! It brought the old Beetle back to life! 🍻
Love it Fil
Thanks Thad! 🍻
Great video 😎👍. Looks like the old Beetle handles much better while jumping, and it looks more well balanced 👍.
Yeah for sure! The lower COG really helped keep it stable over the bumps. 👊
Very cool. 😊👍🏼
Thanks Trey! This was a fun video, I really enjoyed making this one. 🍻👍🏻
Love The Midnight one of the best Retro Wave bands out there. Since coming across your video for this chassis I've been thinking about getting one. I'm going to do a restore on a Blackfoot hopefully this year and I think this would be great for updating an old chassis. How was ordering and shipping experience/time?
Also "Party on dudes."
Another New Retro Wave fan, right on dude! Thanks for coming on board! The ordering and shipping was silky smooth. I've ordered several of these chassis' now, and every time, I'm happy with the purchase, I'm sure you will be too! Party on! 🎸
Come on dude what are you doing, stalking? I can't catch a break here!

The Chassis, I mean, "Like Whoa"!
Hahaha glad you're enjoying the RC goodness, my friend! 🍻
Good run Phil. The chassis seemed to handle well. Were you happy with the rear suspension? It would be interesting to hear your post run thoughts.
Hey Derek! Yeah I was quite happy with the way the new chassis handled. The steering feels more precise and by lowering the suspension by about 1cm, the COG came down and I was really able to kick up the sand through the high speed turns, and still keep the rubber side down. All in all, I'm loving the new Kingfly RC chassis! 🍻
Fuel hose you say?
A little nitro fuel line, works like a hot-damn! 🍻
How do you shorten the shocks on this please?
Many thanks
Dismantle the shocks, and add two o-rings onto the shock shaft, under the piston. Then put the shocks back together, add oil, and now the shock is shortened! 👊🏼
@@poorboysrc Thanks for info mate

@@poorboysrc thanks mate one more question what oil do you use for the dampers in the monster beetle and blitzer beetle as both kits come with yellow soft oil ?
God, now I want to rip my beetle on the track but I know the gear box is about to detonate.
Pretty sure there's MIP diffs still out there. How cool would it look on your new track??? 😎
