    It does kind of confirm what I've seen on other tests, the CCI Total Metal Jacket 40 grain is one of the most accurate.

    Beautiful rifle. I have the 93F with the synthetic stock, Vortex 2-7 rimfire scope on it. My rifle likes the CCI Green 30grn lead free much better than anything else. Which I happened to get lucky with since I am in CA and am required to use lead free for hunting. It will hold damn close to 1 inch at 100 yards, 1 1/4 inch being a little more realistic as an average. It is a jack rabbit killing machine, I Have been blown away with how explosive that bullet is at 100 to 125 yards. I get 2300 fps at the muzzle with it.

    I watched this before considering getting a savage 93G lol. I know every gun is different but this is still relevant

      I have definitely shot better groups than these with this rifle. Dont know what was going on that day.

      @@MisterBrewer ha update I got one and really interesting results. The 25 grain NTX rolling in at 2100 fps, are touching each other out to 50 yards. Any farther and the wind takes them away. The 40 grain JSP shot decent at 100 yards. Last I’ll test some 33 grain Remington boat tails.

      @@pippinthegreat7300 I can confirm it's a great fucking gun for the price point. No weird magazine issues, some weird accuracy issues and as ANY gun you need to test different ammo. Mine happened to shoot best with 25 grain winchester NTX non lead. It depends though right? That round shot the best at 100 yards, at 50 yards, the 50 and 40 grain jacketed soft points shot pretty well, but anything past that was rough. The 22 magnum is ultra versatile. What do you plan to use one for and distances?

    Looks like either the action screws were not tight or it needs bedding. It may sound ridiculous to bed a rimfire rifle but my savage mark II 22lr action was moving and after I bedded it my groups improved dramatically.

    I have the Savage 93 GV bull barrel. Had to send it back to the factory due to not chambering rounds. They polished the chamber and sent a new 10 round mag and a new 5 round mag. Hopefully it the bolt will chamber a round now. It took 9 weeks to get it back. Savage has or had problems with the magazines. We will see. It looked like your rifle was cycling rounds smoothly. Have you had problems with it????

      I have to cycle it just right. It has issues sometimes.

    I always waste so much ammo trying to zero in my scope to be as accurate as possible. Sometimes she’s fine and don’t need touched other times she’s high and right or low and left

    Funny i have that same rifle and i never get greater than 1inch groups at 100yds and i have a cheapo bushnell shooting off a lead sled. i have found the armscor 40gr and the cci tmj the best.

      @MisterBrewer  Рік тому

      That's fantastic! I have not been able to replicate that myself with any rimfire, for some reason. The conditions were not ideal for shooting that day, but I'll blame it mostly on me. Thanks for watching!

      @@MisterBrewer Scope movement or reticle issues, any wind at all, and bore fouling will scatter your groups like that. Rimfire cartridges bore foul much easier. My model 93 is very accurate out to 100 yds i keep my bore clean in all my rimfire rifles,
