- All I can about this rifle is WOW as the 5 shot groups show in the video accuracy is spot on and this is a rimfire rifle! All shot at 110yrds a full subMOA groups that were posted is very impressive even for me as I didn't expect it to shoot as good as it does.. Now that rimfire is getting back to reasonable prices to shoot, this little rifle will make for a great budget trainer to work on rifle fundamentals!
I have that gun in stainless steel bull barrel and I absolutely love it, it is a terrific squirrel gun all headshots like I could never miss with that gun, luckily I hoarded 22 Mag in the 90s probably still have 10,000 rounds
Those cci vmax always did perform exceptionally well in my Savage devastating effects on headshots of squirrels up to probably 150 yards we were tagging them
I really enjoy your videos, no horrible music, just telling us what we want to know about the rifle, I have this in a .17 very nice rifle but same problem w the mags, thanks!!
Just a few days ago I put a Savage 93 on layaway . It is chambered in 22LR , sits in a wooden stock , has the Accutrigger , has iron sights , and is a single shot with a feed ramp without a magazine well . In a different shop I have put on layaway a Savage 93 chambered in 22WMR in a wooden stock , has the Accutrigger , iron sights , and takes magazines . i have owned a couple of Savage 93 rifles chambered in 17HMR that were very accurate , but windy conditions caused the rounds to fly left and right too much for my liking . I prefer wooden stocks over polymer stocks and I like to have iron sights on my guns . I can afford to pay twenty or thirty dollars more for the extra features .
Good deal sounds like you have some fun times ahead of you. Thanks for watching.
I'm liking the group with the Aguila. I bought one box of it last week.
Yea I agree, it shot very well. Thanks for watching!
I bought one of these today can’t wait to hit the range 👍
Awesome, I have no doubt you'll love it. Thanks for watching!
Scope it!
Fun gun, almost as fun as my 10/22t stainless steel bull barrel
This will make many mad, but ill say it anyway lol. Rimfire calibers are enough power to hunt any game from rabbits up to deer! Now yes with deer you’d need a head or neck shot, but too many people disrespect the lethality of rimfire rounds. Honestly I’d feel safe using a 22lr to protect myself.
Any holes in the body that the good Lord didnt put there is a bad thing, lol. Thanks for watching!
Freedom Farmer27 I have taken many a buck with a 22mag back in the day...
Freedom Farmer27 I completely agree! Well said!
I would not say your comments make me mad, but I wouldn't exactly agree with them. I wouldn't consider the .22 mag very ethical for deer and isn't even legal in any of the states I have lived in. It would certainly work in a survival situation but it wouldn't be my first choice. And it seems a little excessive for small game like squirrel and rabbit if you wanted to eat them. Pest control and coyote is where I think it fits nicely. As for self defense, I wouldn't trust a rimfire simply based on the reliability of rimfire rounds. Again, it would be better than nothing, but not my go to choice. But to each their own. I hunt deer with a muzzle loader and archery even during rifle season. Some think I am dumb for doing that but I like my inline muzzle loader and I love archery. If I thought I could 100 percent trust the reliability of a .22 mag I would conceal carry one though, just for the slim profile and weight.
Not wise. The rimfires are not designed for anything much bigger then Jack rabbit and coyote.
The rimfires simple don't produce any shock power to put down a 12 point buck, regardless of how a vital is hit.The term is called"acupuncture wounds".
The animal dies a horrible death from having no shock delivered to its system.
Yep the V-Max I shot this past weekend garnered about the same results. after some adjustments to the scope 3-9x50 Varska. I got similar results. not quite as tight as yours. But pretty darned close. I have some Norma 22 Mag that I want to run thru my 93 and see what sort of groups I can get.
So sub MOA groups with the right ammo, impressive. Better than I would have thought for a .22 mag. I have the same gun but with the shorter threaded barrel and tactical bolt. I hope it shoots as well as that one does. I haven't had the chance to take it out yet to see. Going to wait for it to warm up a bit. I have the winchester 30 grn vmax rounds right now. If they don't work I am going to try those CCI's. If I get inch and a half groups at 100 I will be happy. If I get those kind of groups I will be over the moon.
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video man!
Thanks for watching!
Awesome video awesome rifle
Thanks! I appreciate ya watching!
perfect video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching, dont forget to sub if you haven't already!
I just got a Marlin 983t tube feed bolt action 22wmr
I just bought a 22mag, but people drule over mine lol. Nice video
great review!! man those vmax shot awesome!! would that be good for tree squirrel hunting? or too powerful
Yea I wont lie I knew these rifles were pretty accurate but I would have never guessed that kind of a group out of a rimfire... As long as your not saving the pelts it would sure get the job done! Thanks man!
I have the same gun except its stainless steel and I probably shot over 200 squirrels all headshots I can say I don't think any got away LOL
Dang...that V-Max ammo is tight.
The Social Regressive I know right! I won't lie I was honestly shocked at how small that group was...
Be mindful of torque specs for action screws. 4×12 Bushnell scope, 20 hours of buffing bolt, replace trigger with a Rifle Basix adjustable (mine at 10oz), fire lap the barrel. Shoot 3/4" groups all day long at 100yds!! Love mine!!
Breath in breath out, slow steady squeeze, let the rifle going off be a surprise to you as you hold steady on your target.

GoodStuff 👍🤔 Subbed
Appreciate the support!!
I have the same rifle with a cheap Bushnell. Sight in that rifle. It's capable of a lot more. Not everybody is Dead eye. That rifle makes you a better shooter.
Thanks for watching.
Did you buy it in Australia?
I have an original 93. And it too is extremely accurate. However it does not cycle or properly and tends to misfire the Winchester Super X ammo. At least 1 of the 2 boxes I bought. This Saturday I'm going to test the other box of same ammo.amf see what happens.
Yea i have to agree I haven't had the best of luck with the SuperX either. Ive had troubles with it in the 17hmr also.. Thanks for watching!
The Winchester Super X is what shoots the best in my 93.
Have the Savage 93 F and find the federal 50 grain shoots great, Five rounds all touching. Pretty good for bulk ammo 250 rounds I got for 79.99 hear in Canada in the USA they are a much better price.
Cant beat that!
@@TheHide Had it out today and for some reason not shooting quite as good, five shot groups were from 9/16" to 5/8" and one even had a flier 1/2" group but with the flier 13/16". Was a bit cold out to day but would not think that would make that much of a difference, may be cold hands not working as good. Just ordered me Savage 93 FVSS hopping the heavy barrel will help some. Always wanted to try a stainless steel as well. Will most likely be putting a wood stock on it to give it some weight.
Where on Earth do you find a CCI 36 grain Vmax I can find a 30 grain I would appreciate the come back
He prolly misspoke. CCI's "A22" ammo is 35 grain 2100fps. Not the Vmax but still pretty hot.
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Verygood i from thailand พัทลุง
I hate to ask this. BUT I noticed that NONE of the shots you fired hit the bulls eye. And Yes at least one of them grouped well BUT I have to ask. Is that where you were aiming ?
d graham Shooting for groups I don't care were they hit on the paper as long as the group is tight. When testing different loads the POI is not all gonna be the same, it would be a complete waste of my time to zero every load to hit the bullseye when I don't need it to. Thanks for watching.
Maybe I got a lemon, I wasn't a fan of the 93s after I had one in hmr with mediocre accuracy and a chamber issue causing brass to crack or get stuck with pretty much every ammo used.
No I agree there, I had one in 17hmr and it did not perform that well for me either I tried a number of different loads and just couldn't get any consistent results from it. This one in 22mag on the other hand has been the exact opposite. Thanks for watching!
I have one in 17 hmr and does very good with most any ammo that i find. Has wood stock and bull barrel
.17 is for pellet guns
My Model 93. Prefers the CCI V-Max. 30gr.
Lol peoples been drewlling over my 93 minimalist 22 wmr with the sig whiskey scope at the range.
You have a flinch
Cant be perfect all the time.. Thanks for watching.
