Welcome back to That Cost's How Muchhh?!??! The holiday season only happens once a year, and it is always so exciting to get your decorations out and make your home feel festive. Year after year, decorations from various stores seems to break the bank a little too hard for something that will only be out for a month or two! People need to stop with the "Becky hates Kelsey" "they aren't friends" "they don't like each other" bullshit. The Sorry Girls is a Brand and to grow, Becky and Kelsey need to take on more. I think of them as producers, directors, business owners, AND on-screen talent. There may be new faces but it is still both of their companies. I honestly think there is a hint of sexism that you don't think two grown women can't run a company without being petty. Chill...

Agreed, I think I thought the same sexist thought at some point because so many women have to show the audience they’re “besties” and always hugging in order for the audience to be happy with their relationship. But i don’t think this about men! Thanks for sharing this comment.

Quick note for anyone making the pompom garland at home: make an odd number of poms so it hangs evenly if you hang it on the wall. :)

Just thought of a cute idea for the gingerbread door mat. You could totally style the gingerbread house design based on how your actual house looks. I think that would be a super cute way to make it even more personalized.

I think so many great creators get stuck feeling as though they can’t make big changes to their formula without alienating their audience. I’m glad that The Sorry Girls aren’t falling into that trap, and I think Rachel will make a really natural and energetic addition to the team!

I loved the mat the idea, and I love that Rachael is joining the team officialy and presenting. As for the golden wreath, I think I'd go with real dry magnolia leaves, that naturally have a coppery color, and than lightly spray it all gold, and touch up with gold or rose-gold leaf. I think the result might look even better than the original one you just duped.

This is an excellent idea!! The texture of the lovely suede underside of the magnolia leaves peaking out here and there feels like it would be such a vibe.
Those DYIs were really well done. Comparable and ever nicer than the originals. The wreath and doormat are both so nice! Can't believe how much Crate and Barrel priced the wooden trees! Insane! Rachael is such a nice addition to the team. She looks great on camera and I love her personality. Great smile and pretty too! Congrats!
I really wish the trees would have been designed in two parts so that you could take them apart and they would lay flat for when you store them away and not glued together. Otherwise super cute.
yeah I was thinking the same or use a peg system or wooden biscuits to jointhem but then they might have a gap at the join.
Well if you happen to make them just make the adjustment to your liking 😊 I think they were just saving on wood cut offs since wood is expensive. But storageability is a good point for may people!

re the pom-pom garland: if you used white hemp chord instead of leather, you could get that, and the white yarn from Dollar Tree, and complete that project for $2 (and still have both hemp chord and yarn left over). I've no idea how CB2 gets off charging >$20 for it, let alone nearly $50.
Its for people's time, and they use better materials...but a diy done carefully can look great too and be more satisfying because you made it yourself.
