- Massive mechanical avatars of Gork and Mork the Gargant and it's smaller sibling the Stompa are alters to the gods as much as they are war machines of mass destruction! Covered in weaponry they emerge from the fevered dreams of mekboyz and warbosses when their tribes are growing close to domination and the time nears to reach out into the stars with a waaagh

I love how the Orks of all people have the most realistically proportioned titan with their wide heavy bottom.
Orks also have some of the most “realistic” designs for their aircraft too. I guess insanity does loop back around to common sense eventually.
It gets worse when you realize that even if you take out an Ork titan's legs... it's still basically a viable (if slightly tilted) gun platform. Can't say that for the other factions titans. Take out the leg of a Imperial/Eldar/Tau-equivalent, that thing is faceplanting in the ground and effectively out of the battle.
Thing's an armored Scotsman with a giant armored kilt.
Imagine how heavy it get with the ammunition needed to fire all thoses guns.
@@internetzenmaster8952 that used to be the specific purpose of two separate 'gutbuster' cannon rounds... before they nerfed ork tek hard. (ball round to clear the shields and hit the legs, and the chain round to just cripple the legs if the shields were already gone.
You know honestly being an ork Mek seems like one of the best jobs in 40K. You get to build guns bombs and giant robots all the time, and you never have to measure anything you just eyeball it and it works.
Orky know-wots is such a broken trait, and I love it.

Well to be fair we do hear about how often it doesn't "just work" for orks in a lot of novels, either the thing just falls apart while they build it, or it works but blows up randomly one day, or it works until some beaky gits come around and damage the thing and then it blows up on itself
Orks have always had this duel nature to them, being the source of their own failure and holding themselves back constantly
While also their innate cheat code abilities are the main reason for their success since without them they would be basically savage orks stuck on any planet they are brought too
But when it comes to ork engineering trial and error is the method and it's important to show the error part
My Ork Mek had issues in a Rogue Trader campaign when he tried to patch the holes in the hull using just nets, Humies don't believe! Or that time when he painted half the ship Red and the captain forbade him from painting the other half, the tech priests could not figure out why one side was trying to go faster than the other.....

As awesome as Gargants are I would absolutely love to see a Looted Capitol Imperialis or Looted Colossus.
Merging the Orcs reality bending nonsense with the Squat's designs would be both hilarious and terrifying.

I'd love to get Archs reaction to that you tube vid where the orks are looking for angron. Like someone said, when orks are being polite, and asking questions about something other than who next to crump, thats when a certain demon primarch should start to worry.

Considering the krorks, I think the fact that they never ever appeared after the War of the Beast could be attributed to the work of Ordo Xenos, which didn't exist beforehand.
aside from Thrakka there hasnt bein any orks that got big enough. It wouldnt surprise me if the Ordo Xenos has made sure. But With Angron makin Thrakka mad by killing Yarric they are probly just gonna use Thrakka to fight Angron and Khorn flakes forces

Thrakka is the biggest ork pre beast but the beast of Ullanor was by far taller. Strange enough that nothing came of that
just the scale of the war is not as big as required for the orks to evolve but with the tyranid invasion this will soon change
I have always liked the theory that the eldar helped push the kroks off into becomeing orks through shadowy action so that they didnt have to share the universe with krorks

Ork gargants, for when the enemy won't attack your stronghold. They put legs kn their stronghold and bring it to you.

No, really, that's literally all you have to do. You can do damn near anything. Cracks me up every damn time.
My first large model of Orks was my Stompa. I layer painted that big boy and still very proud of the thing. It’s a nice blue paint washed away to expose the lead belcher underneath the blue. It’s also has a dirty brass color as the secondary color.
That blue and brass colors became my Army’s color scheme. I love how it looks like on my orky Boyz and the people at the local hobby shop like the look.

You know, about Krorks... just imagine that the level the Orks reach after hitting Mega Gargants is that instead of their gear getting bigger they start to get cleverer AND stronger physically. The Waaugh has gotten so powerful that while the tech peaks, the Orks themselves evolve past it and an army of Krorks is more dangerous than a Mega Gargant ever could.
Dude, I been working on my Great Gargant for a few years off and on.
The bloke is about 4' so far. Went with Traxx.. the bloody Chain Choppa is 36" long. And I have not started the Dakka Arm.
But it's a fun (somewhat frustrating) build.
I love all the videos you've put out over the years but when you do Warhammer 40K orks it has a special place in my heart because you just not only love it but you seem so exasperated by it the whole time you're explaining 😂😂

Honestly, I love Ork Lore, it's so much fun.
They are actually much closer to the Imperial Titans, which sometimes are moving Cathedrals in that they are moving Shrines to Gork and Mork.
You have to read 📖 brutal and Kunnin lots of crazy ork gargant action. The bit were two orks destroy a warlord titan with only a shokkjump dragster driving off a cliff is hilarious and totally bonkers lmao 🤣
In my mind, the old ones created the Orks in a moment of desperation. They needed soldiers in a hurry to fight the war in heaven and didn't have the luxury of long term consideration. The Orks (and especially their predecessors) have every perfect trait for war, but nothing at all for peacetime.
Compare this to the other main old ones creation, the Eldar. They were created for more enlightened purposes. In both the cases of the Orks and the Eldar, neither were meant to develop on their own without the old ones guidance.

Working on the Haul at the moment, and Mega Choppa. Almost twice the size of a 24 story building.
Funny thing is, I never thought on how to transport the beast.

Kroks are just as likely to be a weird boy doing an Ant-Man on some Nobs.
I always found the Mekboy gargant to be the most hilarious to use on the battlefield, though obviously, the lack of either a gutbuster or snapper (yes, those were the names of the underbelly guns back in titan legions) was limiting, watching an entire enemy formation go splat when it's kustom shield finally went nova was just great.

Yeah we've seen what happens with the ork tech tree after mega gargants. Weaponized Moons.
My personal theory is that Kork is the fusion of Gork and Mork.
Because only the orks would name themself after their god. The Eldar must have broken him in 2 during or after the war in heaven which weakened the orks.
I like this one. It makes sense that the old ones would have put some sort of safety measure in place. Maybe an avatar of Gork and an Avatar of Mork need to both exist or maybe there needs to be enough fighting going on in the galaxy. Otherwise the Orks become capped so they don't overrun the whole damned thing.
@@Triplitz88 I think the Eldar tricked the ork god Gork into splitting in 2 so they have a worthy opponent to fight and that when a proper enemy presents itself they will fuse back into Gork.

I remember the epic days and the great gargants were generally considered warlord equivalents. But even then they were still outmatched in raw firepower.
I equivocate a Stompa to an Imperial Knight. That's how they were in Epic 40k AND how the scale of the Epitec resin model matches the GW Imperial Knights today.

Yes, Killa Kans and Deff Dreads do technically count towards the Gargant tech tree. They may me slightly smaller or larger than a Terminator or Dreadnought respectively, they do in fact count.

what I have always been told but I have not been confirmed is they are the first step for a Mek when they get large enough to start thinking about building gargants 😅 take it with a grain of salt as I have said I was never able to confirm it.
