Hope the owner manages to find somebody with the budget AND the brains to buy this. Most people tend to think "I'll buy a cheap one and do the work gradually, myself". Trouble is, it takes a LOT - as in years - of time, money, skill, brains and determination to do the work yourself. If you're planning on a 110-based camper, that vehicle is going to give you a massive head-start, with just the electrics and some cosmetic stuff left to finish.
@Richtea78 👀👀👀👀 wow. You must work two jobs full-time & part-time then you will get a land rover defender. Part-time for grab car / Uber car. Easy. Or you must go to the graveyard for an old classic Defender cost 5K to 20K cheaper. Only abandoned land rover defender. Easy.
@@richtea7868 I wouldn't worry about it too much. I DID buy Defenders for 20-odd years but, honestly, I'm over them now. I'm sure Puma-Defenders are more refined than TDi/TD5 models but, y'know, it's still basically the same ol' "barn on wheels" design. With a big lottery win, I'd certainly have one as a weekend toy but back in the real world I'm much happier daily-driving a Disco' 2. Maybe not the best video to say so but, honestly, I'm not a big fan of roof-tents (of any kind) because of the weight they add to the roof and the hassle of setting them up and taking them down every night. They're probably great if you're planning on spending 3 months driving across africa but for overnight or weekend trips it's easier to just have a vehicle you can sleep inside. I mention that 'cos one of the main benefits of a Defender is that Alu-Cab make the Icarus roof conversion for it but, 'cos I don't really like roof-tents, it isn't something that'd make me want to buy another Defender.
That is one fantastic conversion, lovely Land Rover.
Cracking vehicle wish I had the dosh to buy it! Thanks for the tour. Stay safe Rich atb 👍🦊

🤔 110 or 130?
It's a 110.
@Si Crewe thank you 👍 I like Classic land rover.
I bet it’s close to £50k with the scene tax on Defenders at the moment!
I’m just jealous I didn’t buy one when everyone hated them
