Well hello pilgrim, Great review of John Wayne, the cigarette is a good finishing touch, thank you. Infinite Statue and Kaustic Plastik collaboration is showing the 1.6 scale world where to go with quality and price point. Bela Lugosi next, now that should have some bite.
Kaustic Plastik have outdone themselves with this one. They've done proper justice to the legendary John Wayne. The head sculpt is 100% accurate in terms of resembling his likeness. The skin texture has a nice sense of realism. The hair has been sculpted rather nicely. The outfit has been stitched exceptionally well. The overall paint application is immaculate and pristine. The figure comes included with a pretty good amount of accessories. The fact that the spurs, which are real metal and can actually rotate, is something that I've never seen on a 1/6th scale figure. Having individually sculpted bullets and a loadable bullet chamber is very impressive. The same is true for the inclusion of the cuticles on the fingernails, which is a first for a 1/6th scale piece. The diorama display base compliments this amazing masterpiece very nicely. Kaustic Plastik are obviously huge fans of John Wayne and it shows in final product. They deserve to be commended for sure. The love, care and attention to detail that went into crafting this stunning representation of the legendary actor is truly a sight to behold. Stellar work on Kaustic Plastik's part. Otherwise, thanks as always Dean for another great video! I really appreciate the hard work!
A beautiful figure. This is what this hobby is about in my opinion. I class this as a work of art. You can tell a lot of care and love was put into it. A lot of figures are just pushed out these days and not so much care is put into them so it's nice to see something special like this.
An incredible piece. Kaustic Plastik are a company to keep an eye on. Pure quality. My mind was blown away by the individual bullets in his belt and the ability to load them into his gun. Wow. Rooster Cogburn is my favourite character from Western movies, and his "fill your hand" quote is one of my favourite movie quotes of all time. Kaustic Plastik really did John Wayne justice with this masterpiece figure. And congratulations on getting your genius idea for the cigarette put into the finished figure!

Its because of you and this figure that I started to re explore western films and I recently pre ordered sideshow clint Eastwood the man with no name figure which looks awesome too. Rooster cogburn is the most iconic of all western heros followed closely by Eastwoods the man with no name. Thankyou dean for opening o7r eyes to these wonderful characters and pieces. Wonderful job.

Amazing figure, and great to see something other than the same old characters, with the new 1/6 range from In Art being deluged with requests for endless Batman redos, we’ll, I guess that’s what folk want but by god it’s boring, kaustik are one to watch. With sideshow coming up with Clint Eastwoods and hot toys revisiting back to the future maybe there’s hope for some original thinking in the world of 1/6, maybe one day I’ll get that A-team I’ve dreamed of. Review-wise, it’d be nice to have seen more on the poseability, doesn’t look like there’s any room for movement in those boots for instance, not such a issue for the duke but for a figure that demands dynamic stances it really does hurt the overall look, otherwise, love it!
Loved this figure and pre-ordered as soon as I saw it. My only problem...the hat is not right. sits too low on his head as if it is the wrong size. Compare it with the hat on the Sideshow 1/4 scale figure which is much better.

In 1967 when John Wayne was filming in Vietnam, the indigenous Montagnard people who shared the Dukes fierce opposition to Communism gifted him the copper bracelet which he wore for years rest of his life.

Pretty cool piece, but their's not enough weathering on the clothes and the boots. It all looks just too clean, especially the boots.
