    Robert, thanks for making this SPC vid. Sounds great with stock engine! I’m considering it for my stock ‘23 Fat Bob. Not sure if I should do a screamin eagle stage 2 while I am at the dealer along with the SPC. Still under warranty so I was opting for the SE stage 2 and then, if desired, switch cams when warranty ends. I’m concerned it will be TOO loud with stage 2

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  11 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for the feedback! I am glad you found it useful. As to the sound, these are great because they are mellow when low rpm, louder than stock of course, but sound amazing when you hit the mid band. As for the stages, not sure where your located, but here in CA if I put a tuner on the bike it voids my warranty. Check with your local dealer to see where the limits are and what would be covered and not. Obviously cam and exhaust would not be if changed but good to know where you stand with the mods you are considering.
      Thanks again and ride safe.

      Update: I love my SPC. I ended up adding g these along with a SE stage 2 torque cam and SE tune. You can def feel this (conservative) SE torque improvement. The HD dealer did all work and I did not void my warranty. This coming winter I plan to go to a more powerful cam, upgrade the oil pump, manifold, etc and get a diff tune. But at this point in my ownership I don’t mind voiding

      @@bcbsilverhawk8426 thank you, appreciate the feedback. I have seen a few different 2 to 1 designs like this version that do go a little further back like the Bassani pipes. These run great and sound awesome and I am seeing more and more bikes with them. Vance & Hines and a few others do have a straight pipe solution that can go all the way back as well. I just think this design is supposed to be a shorter length which is where the personal preference part comes in for the look people are trying to achieve.

    How loud would you say that the big bore is compared to let’s say stealth pipes turnout, hpi short and tbr turnout?

    • @justkillnbugz

      Thanks for the question. I don't have experience with those pipes, but I can tell you that compared to my Rineharts they sound just as good but a lil bit louder. The Big bore Pipe sounds awesome. It had a crisp deep sound at low RPM and unleashes at higher revs. Checkout some of my other LRST videos and you can hear it while riding.

      Thanks for the comments and the question, much appreciated. I would say it is neighbor friendly, none of mine have complained and it sounds nice and deep on start up. I also did a new video on my 2023 RG CVO with the new long pipe version from SPC and you can see the sounds there as well. Same tone and deepness, but not obnoxious for either 🙂.

    Did the bike require a tune or flash after the pipe was installed?

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz  Рік тому +2

      Thanks for the question. It is recommended that you have the bike dyno tested and tuned for any new full exhaust system (not slip-ons) to ensure peak performance and operation. Due to the oil filter issues I have been experiencing (posted in other videos) I have not had a chance to do a dyno test yet.
      In CA, the EPA has not approved tuners to be installed on certain 2021/22 models yet due to updated emission controls. Also in CA, if you add a non approved tuner to the bike, it will void and block your warranty for any issues that could be related to service in those areas.
      For me, the bike seems to run great with no popping or backfire noises (once in a great while depending on aggressiveness) as is. So I will wait until we have a warranty approved solution for my state, or when my warranty expires. Best to check with your local dealer to see what the rules and guidelines are where you live.
