thank you so very much, I am fascinated by the Dutch Golden Age.
I live part time in 1740 so you could be my Gram ))) SWEET partlet and collar! and the bum roll. No corset required with your pretty little figure. Gads it takes a long time to dress! Our ancestors would be shocked by jeans and Tshirt! I LOVELOVELOVE the double gown for winter layers. Ok... I have to subscribe ))))
I love the outfit you made. I grew up in the north of Holland in the 1970's and learnt to skate with wooden skates when the water froze over.
it's nice to go back in time tonight
I live in the Netherlands. Beautiful costume/outfit.
Oh my gosh, how beautiful! Incredibly detailed. I so wish I could try on historical ensembles!
Thank you so much! It is really fun to try them out! I think it teaches us so much about how people lived before us.
Incredible outfits! So beautiful. The paintings that inspired them are exquisite.
Thank you so much! I love those paintings so much!
They were made by Hendrik Averkamp.
You always do the coolest stuff. Thanks for sharing!
So fun ! Thank you!
This is so inspiring, thank you for your video, love the different pieces and combination of colors.
Beautiyfull!🤗
I love the pleated neckline of the chemise
I really love this video, and with the weather here in Texas I really wish I had the fabrics needed to make this. I am wondering where you got the first song used in this video and again in the outdoor shots. You don't have it listed. I think you may have used it in another video, but I don't remember which other one since I binge watched at least six of your videos.
For the linen at least, try fabrics-store.com -- they have daily sales on different colors and weights of linen and if you enter ILOVELINEN at checkout, you get 7% off.
Great educational video!
Lovely❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I want to make a similar outfit. Could you post an online link to the painting?
Would it have been that length? I always thought they were longer.
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately/luckily I got far too many ideas what I want to do xD
Ah yes, ready to go ice scating.
What’s that clown thing around your neck
That is a ruff, which was the height of fashion in this era! I have a video all about how I made it here: ua-cam.com/video/agcSPP4ZfqY/v-deo.html
