10 Modern Songs That Sound Like The Beatles

- I guess we all, or almost all of us, have more than once imagined how things would be if the Beatles had appeared in these times, how would they sound? And although the question could have a trick since they have influenced the way music sounds today, and that means that they could not exist in this context, we set ourselves the task of doing a little experiment. We compiled 10 current songs that have a lot of influence from the Beatles, and by current we decided that they are no more than 10 years old. Well, a large percentage of the music that is made today and that has been made after the breakup of the Beatles has some reference or technique that they created. But in this video we wanted to play a little bit with how the Beatles could have sounded in the mainstream, because of course, bands that specifically pay tribute to their music, or that play psychedelic rock or some genre similar to the band's songs would automatically sound like them, and there are thousands of those cases, this video is not that case. Rather we focus on mainstream artists, consolidated, that consciously or unconsciously have winks to the Beatles and make us think that if the Beatles existed today, they would sound something like this... fighting in the billboard charts or winning awards. It will be an interesting video, stay and watch it.

there is also Olympia - Flamingods
Amazing video as always 🎉
"Feels like we only go backwards" by Tame Impala was an obvious choice I can't believe you left out. I'll dare say Kevin Parker's earlier songs sound a lot like Beatles songs, Elephant is another that could have easily been part of Sgt Pepper's.
I would say Desire Be Desire Go could be a drug fueled John-George guitar rocker
I'm fascinated by how all perspectives as valid- it's the collective power of music at it's root vibrations and the ability to connect us all in know and unknown ways. I love to be reminded of it for whatever that my mean to the individual. I love it the power of music is eternal in our consciousness
what about the instrumental song at the end of the video? I cant find that guitar solo one just one with drums
I’m surprised you didn’t include Island in the Sun by Weezer. That to me, sounds more like an mid Beatles song than any of these ones did.
I don't really see it. Besides, it's not very modern, but I respect your opinion (I'm a big Beatles and Weezer fan aswell =) )
@@Xavier_CreightonThat’s fair I respect your opinion as well. I could see why it feels a bit dated as it was released over 20 years ago. I consider most songs 2000’s onwards as modern. The simplicity of the beat is where I hear that Beatles feeling of a song like I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
@@modrenwarefare Yeah, that makes sense. I'm kinda on the verge of what I consider modern, but anything after 2000 is kinda debatable for me, although I completely understand why anyone would consider it modern considering it really doesn't seem like that long ago or that different at all. I relistened to island in the sun and now that I think about it, I feel if it was a little less heavy, you'd be right about the beatles singing it, it just feels a little too 90's to sound like them, but it definitely sounds like a cover of a song that the beatles would write imo!
I don't see that at all lol. weezer made shit after blue album (no offense to rivers Cuomo I know his legs weren't the same length, very sad)
The Car by Arctic Monkeys it’s an album that always remind me "The white Album" by The Beatles
Mac demarco sounds like early beatle-ish stuff
World Party, some XTC, STP's Sour Girl's chorus, Aaron Lee Tasjan's Little Movies, Black Hole Sun (which was admittedly written with Beatles style in mind), Many songs by Michael Penn... tons to refer to
Olympia - Flamingods i know it's not mainstream but it's a soundtrack for a popular game and it's so beatles-esque
That is amazing how essentially human it all is really...
Check out the Canadian band, SLOAN. They wear their Beatles influences on their sleeves with each album. (As well as KISS, and Cheap Trick)
Great alt band.
Yeah yeah yeah!!!
is this la hemeroteca
An excellent topic of The Beatles' imagination (maybe's, and's and what if's, coulda, woulda, shoulda)...
McCartney album named NEW sounds like a Beatles production.
i sure love chipmunk she loves you
Have you ever listened to Capaldi's record of Brazilian hit Anna Julia from 2001? The original songwriter is Beatles aficionado Marcelo Camelo. The song is so Beatlesque that George Harrison himself played the solo for the English recording. It could be among those gems in Help, for instance. Nice song that sounds like '65 Beatles lol
Resonates in collective consciousness
ppl commenting are strictly beatles fans and not fans of music in general bc i heard the inspiration in the base of most of these tracks, if you were to strip each down to just traditional instruments, you could easily imagine one of the boys singing over it
Ayer lo oí por primera vez y muchacha temazo llore al escucharlo
Is Mac DeMarco not considered mainstream
Klaatu sounds more like the beatles than any other entity
are you "la hemeroteca" in english?
Literal es el mismo video con diferente idioma
creo que suelen colaborar frecuentemente@@migue330
Tame Impala?
i can pretty much say mitski's my love mine all mine sounded like something either paul or george could've wrote
Im sorry, Im a Beatle fan for 40yrs but I cannot see any similarities with these bands, only Oasis or maybe Nirvana are close to sound like the Beatles.
If you want likes and listens just mention the Beatles. I totally agree with you on this one.
Nirvana in literally what way lol
Just listen 🤔
@@austinpriest9830have you heard about a girl?
And Oasis [who I like] really only sound like ONE Beatle song: Rain. "Suuuunnn sheeeiiinne."
I’m surprised Look What You’ve Done by Jet and Feels Like We Only Go Backwards by Tame Impala didn’t make this video.. For Mild High Club, I actually think their song Homage is a better choice for song that sounds like The Beatles. The guitar solos in that song have a Harrison quality to them
I think I'm not getting it... Is it that you're ponting to weird music that wouldn't exist today and finally does it because of them...?
How about garbage : special
Nothing like them
None of the songs sounded like The Beatles. And you said it. Stating some almost like copy and paste. Remember Harrison lost his battle with My Sweet Lord because of 3 notes. Of they had been played in different order No problem.
All of these overproduced, sterile songs are in no way Beatles worthy. Try Space Engineer(band)
Every song but the McCartney one that you mentioned sucks! No Beatles influence on any of them.
Every example is unlistenable.
You are kidding, right? None of those songs even remotely sound like the Beatles.
I can't see any of them either, wtf is this guy talking about
No Oasis?
Wrong!!! No bands sound like The Beatles.
