You might think, "Oh, it's just a kettle, what could go wrong?" Well, let me tell you, a lot can go wrong! these dodgy adapters can overheat. When they overheat, they can cause sparks. And what do sparks lead to? That's right, fire! And Faulty wiring can lead to short circuits, and short circuits can lead to-you guessed it-fire! Remember, folks, fire safety isn't just about putting out fires; it's about preventing them in the first place. Stay safe, and keep those kettles in check

As the kettle would fail a PAT test visual inspection due to the plug not being fused on the kettle! Remember folks to use common sense around portable appliances. If you don't use common sense it will increase your risk of fire or worse get electrocuted! Folks don't use them shitty illegal adaptors from the land of China.
Places like this need shutting down. There was a young lad killed in a hotel on the prom in Sept 23 after touching exposed live wires. Good to see you back on it Adam and good to see you've healed well.

Absolutely unbelievable! Why on earth would you keep those kettles when you've been shut down once and block the fire exit. I agree the hotel looks fine. A few cheap kettles, a tele that works, not alot to fix. Well done highlighting these issues, they really should be shut down again. Totally unsafe!

This hotel has nearly got it right. The room looks nice and clean if they just sort the kettles which cost £8.00 in asda, the hanging wires, remove the table from fire doors, softer beds, remove the junk from the rooms, working tvs and give bog roll it would be a good wee hotel. I especially loved the exercise light switch where you had to pump the switch up for the light to go on. Ps glad to see you back take care.
I was Keith Lard for my social club. If I knew of a safety hazard like that plug, I'd have gone ballistic. Literally couldn't have slept until it was fixed or blocked off. As for blocking fire exits, it's no wonder I got turned down for jobs, as I got older, because I complained about cluttered fire exits everywhere I worked. How hard is it to keep a door clear ffs? Now I've retired, looking round for new people to annoy. Pub next....

The whole situation with the kettles makes no sense. I just checked how much the basic Asda kettle is and it's £8. I can't imagine they're saving very much with the international kettles and those dangerous adaptors over just buying a bunch of the Asda kettles. Is it really worth risking the lives of your guests to save a quid or two at most? Absolutely barmy... Nevertheless, fantastic video Adam :) So glad to see you back again, and looking forward to future reviews.
I couldn't agree more mate. I simply can't get my head around it. The only thing I can think of is that they got all the kettles they have somehow for free.. so they just bought all the adapters at 30p a go ..

I would deffo stay there if they sorted out the kettle issue. Hopefully the owner sees this and comes to his/her senses. Having dodgy kettles is a false economy, as a fire would cost a hell of a lot more to put right. As for the human cost? It doesn't bear thinking about. Can I suggest in future hotel reviews, that you just give us a few basics ( the cost, where it is exactly, checking in & out times) before you get into the "nitty gritty" to borrow your phrase! Love the videos adam😊 ive got a request, i stayed at the sun inn hotel in eastwood Nottingham and its absolutely atrocious. Broken windows, stains everywhere and just doesnt seem very nice and its lacking even basic maintenance. During the summer the heating cannot be turned off either!! would be good to see your views.stay safe mate

That is a very serious review of a dangerous hotel done very well by you and the wandering wiganer!! Despite all the dangers this hotel has and the risks it is taking you have made me laugh aswell! Damn right though it wouldn't cost alot to just buy some cheap kettles with UK proof electric wires. Not worth cutting any corners when you're a hotelier catering to the public on a daily basis, it's too late to put this right after endangering lives it needs putting right before they accept any more custom other than that the rooms look a good standard decor wise. Weird hotel. It looks like a decent hotel... But then the weird little things that endanger people. Such easy fixes can turn it into a big Blackpool hotel!
I stayed here with kids in August the room was lovely apart from a few bits that needed finishing off i definitely didn't remember seeing all those fire extinguishers around the stairwells but i did see plenty of other concerns that weren't mentioned in your video
Last hotel i stayed at had no tea/coffee, no TV and no WiFi. And to be honest it was a great stay. There was a guest kitchen/games room if needed, huge terrace and garden.
I follow the wandering wiggan and saw his video. It's shocking. They should not be renting these rooms out the state they are in, its an accident waiting to happen 😔

That is a very serious review of a dangerous hotel done very well by you and the wandering wiganer!! Despite all the dangers this hotel has and the risks it is taking you have made me laugh aswell! Damn right though it wouldn't cost alot to just buy some cheap kettles with UK proof electric wires. Not worth cutting any corners when you're a hotelier catering to the public on a daily basis, it's too late to put this right after endangering lives it needs putting right before they accept any more custom other than that the rooms look a good standard decor wise. I stayed here with kids in August the room was lovely apart from a few bits that needed finishing off i definitely didn't remember seeing all those fire extinguishers around the stairwells but i did see plenty of other concerns that weren't mentioned in your video

Last hotel i stayed at had no tea/coffee, no TV and no WiFi. And to be honest it was a great stay. There was a guest kitchen/games room if needed, huge terrace and garden.
I follow the wandering wiggan and saw his video. It's shocking. They should not be renting these rooms out the state they are in, its an accident waiting to happen 😔
