What a great video and such a smashing bloke. He insisted on sitting with me at a Pink Floyd gig at the Rainbow in the 70s, coz I was the only other Londoner there and we were surrounded by some Scottish mates. I'd got a couple of seats near the sound mixer but Joe soon disappeared backstage where he got slightly sloshed in the bands dressing rooms ( very quickly) and returned with that beautiful smile he always has. Halfway through the brilliant (Dark Side of the Moon) show he said "my wife is singing up there", I asked which one is she "i can't see" was his reply. Not only did his wife Vicky have a great voice but their daughter Sam, who replaced her mum with PFloyd some years later, had a spectacular voice..... I had the pleasure of doing the stage sound with her on a couple of tours, meeting her guitarist brother Pete too, another smashing chap. What a lovely family. Joe was a HUGE influence on a whole generation, me too, and we will always be thankful for that. Rip Vicky.👍🇬🇧
I know, it's incredible to think he's been around my entire life and I just turned 60. Not a fan of everything he's done but he is a good all round musician and very likeable guy
When I was little many years ago, I would go Saturday morning pictures at the Odeon, Joe Brown made a surprise appearance. I fancied him ever since. I’m now 64 and still love him.🥰💝💋
My favourite Joe Brown recording isn t a song but a little musical composition of Joe's own interpretation it was a B side on one of his first hit records and is played on his guitar its called simply THE SPANISH BIT loved its simplicity beautifully performed by Joe. Wonder if he remembers it. Now ?
Seen Joe quite a few times over the past 10 years or so and nobody provides such a truly magnificent performance....multi talented and he's just Joe.....what you see is what you get !!!....I think having reached the age of 80 he has decided to stop touring live shows......our very great loss but he deserves a rest I'm sure.
I watched Joe performing at the George Harrison tribute concert, singing I see you in my dreams. I taught myself Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on the Ukelele........took me hours, in the end, my boyfriend cut the strings as it drove him bonkers.
The dark brunette sat next to Joe at the table. The red haired lady is Cary Grant (interviewer, vocal coach and choreographer) and the blonde lady is Joe's (second) wife, Manon.

Wonderful man great family
Joe played I'll See You in My Dreams, at the Concert for George Harrison.
And Sam sang Horse to the Water at the same concert.
Spot on, see James reply below!
@@jamesreynolds2867 Sam partially stole the show with that outfit
@@peterperigoe9231 She looked fantastic and sang with the usual passion, did you notice, the dress still had the label attached, at the back?
@@jamesreynolds2867 Yes and no, I thought it was something to do with the mic. Didn't look properly, could hardly bring it back after the show.
