This was the final match everyone was waiting for, and it def delivered. From the questionable officiating, the cramps, and being down 0-2; all the way leading to a well-deserved victory. Props to you Marco for not pushing yourself through the cramps to try to win (which is all too relatable) and trusting the team to carry it into the fifth set. It must have been hard in the beginning, especially with the officiating, but the mentality switch to play free ball carried y'all. Franz' setting was incredible and idk if it's because he is playing setter rather than lib or OH, but it def looked far better from when he would set with SDBR (watch out for your position Aiden jk haha). Albert and Adrian were super solid this tournament and had some insane bounces. Franz (lib) had some crazy saves in this game that led to crucial momentum gains!! Lhexen def deserves MVP with his team captain aura and out of system sets, not to mention his crazy hits and pipes. And everyone else had super minimal mistakes which was insane. Thanks for the great volleyball content, Alex and Marco! Can't wait to see you and New Gen defend the championship next year and go for back-to-back!! NEW GEN *clap* *clap* WOOOO

It's fine to self call touch in practice but in a tournament I wouldn't just because you can't guarantee your opponent will do the same. So if you do call on yourself and your team you're just disadvantaging your team. You just have to hope that the refs bad calls will balance out. Also if the ref can't tell whether a touch happened or not, it probably isn't that serious that it affected the game.
I'm not even 7 minutes in and I'm pissed about the officiating. 😑 ALL TOURNAMENT THEY'VE MISSED TOUCHES AT THE NET. And if this is the championship, put a down ref out there to help! Other teams not honor calling is annoying, but I get it if there are officials.
