Useful video - thanks Adrian. One question - what is the icon close to the top right of the screen? On your screen it is a person icon with an "O" next to it. In my car it is the person icon with "N" next to it. What is this one?
Hey! Thank you for the tutorial, just got my 2024 XC60 Ultra yesterday and it's lovely! Although, I've noticed that I don't have the automatic parking feature which I've seen other people have. Why is this? Is it because I live in Sweden and there's some regional restrictions or is it like I've read online that when Volvo switched to Google in their cars it takes a while before they re-implement some features?
Good questions! Volvo went away from the automatic parking feature on the new vehicles. I’m not sure if it’s something they will be implementing again with a future software update, it’s possible. The vehicles with the previous infotainment system had the option. The google ones do not, at least not yet.
@@adrian_certified Okay, it looked like a such cool feature so would really love to test it. Let's hope the implement it in the future then. Thank you for the answer too!
Wonderful video. Thanks. The one thing I'm not clear about. It used the Google system. I have an Android phone and on my previous car used Android Auto that allowed me to access all my apps (SiriusXM, Spotify, SoundCloud, Maps, etc.). Do I need to use Android Auto, or because it uses Google I will access to everything regardless? If I do use Android Auto, do I need to connect via USB the way you showed for the Apple phone? Thanks.
@@hersheybell8444 Since this infotainment is Android based, there’s no need for Android auto. You can download you apps directly into the vehicle through the google playstore. Text messages can also come through the system without having to plug your phone in.
Is there any way to connect to Android Auto? I love Android Automotive, but having context from phone is way more important. Like for notification stuff or of being able to play local music I have on my phone (I would hate to listen it through the AAC Bluetooth that can't let me see even the artwork on the car screen, when there's the lossless audio existing through Android Auto that allow to play anything from my phone)
Good question. Unfortunately there no Android auto, at least not yet. However, maybe you can find the music you’re trying to play on one of the streaming apps that can be downloaded directly into the vehicle.
@@adrian_certified Woow thanks for your reply! Finally I got the answer to what I was looking for since weeks 😅 40% of what I listen to is not available on streaming apps (bootleg, bootmash or simply unreleased tracks on Spotify). I'm thinking the only way would be the absurd ide of Android Auto OVER the Apple Car Play protocol (with AAWirless dongle that I have already). This would get a bad audio coded re-encoding probably (apple still use lossy codecs and re-encoding AAC sucks). Does Apple Car Play use full screen now or is it still a small "box" in the home screen?
How long before you get bombarded with crappy Google adverts taking over screen, just like the phone systems ! Also sorry to see CD players have been removed, older drivers like me would have liked to see them stay, because of this and Google taking over, i will NEVER BUY NEW ANYMORE !
You went too fast with pushing buttons and verbal so i missed many options, please talk in slow mo so others whom dont got english as mother tongue would be more appreciated, thankyou for sharing info.

Many thanks from the UK.

Is there a sport mode ?
There’s a software (Polestar optimization) that can be downloaded into the vehicle for a sports mode drive.
Customization on Infotainment system - insane, and still apple doesn't have it on their iphones XD
My phone will
Not connect to Apple car play . Every other car I have had you click Apple car play then I see all
My phone apps. Like WhatsApp !
@@jillmorrison5026 Maybe it’s the cord you’re using. That can sometimes be the issue.

It isn't a full solution, but you can decrease the speed of the video all the way to 0.25x
Thanks. Very much appreciated.
