Hi Jess ! You pronouced the name of the venue perfectly ! Now I have a lot on my mind that I will write you : First of all I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for accepting my request. Your words after the song were so heartwrenching that I almost teared up. Everyone has hidden scars and has gone through hard times in life... just like you and me. I can relate so much to this song, especially to the chorus, because I can also be lucky to be alive, but for other reasons than Aurora, of course. If you want, I could explain it to you on a more private level, maybe on facebook, if you are registered there ? From what you have said, especially at the end of the video, I can clearly figure out that you are a beautiful person (not only from the outside !) with a very big heart and with a wonderful character. To be honest. I already had this impression while watching your other music reaction videos. And that's why I subscribed to your channel. I love to see you react to more from Aurora. Believe me, you will love her to pieces. Next song from Aurora should be "Through the eyes of a child" from that same concert... the message of this song is as important as beautiful, believe me. Best wishes from Germany : Gerry PS : Nidarsodomen is the oldest and most important cathedral in Norway, situated in Trondheim, built between 1060 and 1300, where every King and Queen of Norway has been crowned so far. It is also the most northern cathedral in the world, so it's a very special place.
Aurora makes a difference to thousands of people in this world. Her songs and personality together with strong messages are real and not plastic, and her artistry is unique!
Yes. This song is my cryingout song. So beautiful, melancholy and with a very good message. Love your interpretation of the song it´s so beautiful. For me this is the best song and perfromance ever made.
Thanks for reacting to this! You found my Favorite musical performance on UA-cam!! This entire concert at Nidarosdomen is the best Concert I've ever seen!
Thanks for being open and caring. So many great varied performances and songs to be experienced with Aurora. She hacks people's souls and infects them with love, hope and self-acceptance.
This performance from Aurora is pure perfection. It makes me cry every time. The entire concert is amazing. Welcome to the Aurora rabbit hole. It is a truely magical place you have discovered. I hope your journey here is long and beautifully strange.
Thank you for your reaction. Aurora is the savior of many. Alot of the time you just get to old and everyone you had is gone. We all must go on and thanks To Aurora many of us are able she is a friend some never have.
Aurora lives every word and her commanding presence makes the audience do the same. There is no one like her at present in the modern musical landscape. When Aurora performs it is proof that magic is real.
Great reaction! Honestly....... It's like she not only sing, but performes directly into my heart and soul. I find myself mesmerised, almost forgetting to breathe when I listen / see her. I have never seen her live! But that is going to change in 3 days! She is having a concert in her home town Bergen, and I will be there!
Aurora is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and producer. She was 21 in this performance and will turn 26 in 2 days (June 15th). She wrote part of this song and the chorus at age 9 and finished it later at age 18. She started learning to play piano on her own at age 6 and started creating English lyrics at 9. She did the high vocals for "The Voice" calling to Elsa in the Disney movie "Frozen 2". I suggest the a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child": youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I It has amazing harmonies and here is a quote from Aurora about the song: "Through the Eyes of a Child is one of the most important songs for me. It's about, the older you get, the more you see, and it's kind of like you miss the times when you thought everyone was nice, and that everything was nice, because it's hard to know all the darkness. Also we have lots of light, and I know that as well. But it's kind of like wanting to go back to the innocence, and see the world through the eyes of a child. It's a very important song for me."
This song leaves me more emotional than most songs. Without revealing too much, I'll leave it with that. Quite a few could relate to the feeling of taking your breath, and feeling lucky that you're still alive. I'm so sorry to know that you lost your stepdad. I wish to thank you for your beautiful, heartfelt reaction to a song that carries such a meaningful message. 😊
Thank you for reaction. I can see you feel her music and message of this song. Song is sad (as says about existing problem) but with positive message. It is about someone who has depression and going trough "dark times". So dark that is almost ended with offering (suicide). But then that person saw a light and changed his mind. I mean many people have in live this harder times but you need always to remember that even if in such moment everything looks hopeless, it is not. With time things will be better you only need to went trough this harder times (and best if you have someone who can help you or at last talk about it). Ps. There are also persons who tried "failed suicide" and then they are lucky that they are still alive, as their perspective and "state of emotions" changed for better.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention that Aurora's birthday is in 2 days ! She'll be 26 on June 15 ! So maybe you could do another reaction video on her birthday and upload it ? That'll be wonderful... last year, a lot of youtubers did that, too... if you are too busy, it's no problem, of course.
She's magic. That's how she does it. At the very least she's genuine, and that might as well be magic these days. She really does provide a great many of us with a point of connection to something that isn't fake and fleeting. The "Warriors and Weirdos" as she has called us (and herself).
Bless you. You reached me with your plea to reach out if anyone is in such a position. It is a very, very lonely place to be in. And whenever someone has ultimately committed suicide, questions will never be answered to the ones left behind. As in your situation, it will keep an impact for the rest of their lives. In my work I too often witness this. Thank you for this powerful message. To underline it, people should know that suicidal thoughts are common to many people at any moment in life. So when one feels so very alone and in despair, reach out. There are trained professionals if it is too hard to involve the people you love.
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. Yes absolutely, sometimes it’s easier to open up to an “outsider”. A professional, a support group, or even a support person. It’s so important to not be alone in this. 💕
Wow, I like your take on the "not anybody knows" line. That puts everything in a little different light for me, despite having listened to this song many, many times. Maybe this is the reason for the somber undertone of the ending...
Hi and thank you for this fine reaction. AURORA is so deep into the story she's thinking about. Her facial expression is just the result. At that moment AURORA was somewhere but not in the cathedral. You saw her eyes. She was somewhere else. The song is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result? AURORA's voice is great and works phenomenal in the cathedral. AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is a singer, songwriter and producer. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos. AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves She was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - Through The Eyes Of a Child (Live at Nidarosdomen) - ua-cam.com/video/ncG9zTzsisE/v-deo.html - she sang in norway's biggest cathedral - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - ua-cam.com/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/v-deo.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - ua-cam.com/video/_Mc_OM5oNA8/v-deo.html - it's about the climat change - Exist For Love (Official Video - VEVO) - ua-cam.com/video/7YDkrJaiCrw/v-deo.html - best love song ever!!! - Cure For Me (Official Video - VEVO) - ua-cam.com/video/K17df81RL9Y/v-deo.html - this cheerfulness of the music - even though she is hurt. - Queendom (Official Video) - ua-cam.com/video/wULeXeQkqd0/v-deo.html - about her queendom?? - Warrior (Live on the Honda Stage) - ua-cam.com/video/I3dvC4tDI3s/v-deo.html - it is for her warrios - Heathens (Live Performance) - ua-cam.com/video/utKR7tAm0hg/v-deo.html - another incredibly profound lyrics Quotes from AURORA: 1. Interviewer: You always dream about becoming a singer-songwriter, a pop star or did it just come up to you like a dream? AURORA: Well yeah, well I never wanted to be a pop star. I never wanted to stand on stage. That was not my dream. I never dreamed of it and I didn't really think about it that much I just needed to write songs to you know for my own sake. But then my mother told me that I should share these songs and so I did. And now I'm here. So no, I didn't plan to be in front of a band or something like that. 2. I think it just make sense to be nice to everything that lives. It's kind of like we're all one body or like one mind but just split up in a thousand people. We are kind of like, if I hurt you then I hurt myself. If you are in pain then I am in pain because we're kind of one because we have one thing in common which is a life. You know, so it just makes sense doesn't it. I hope you enjoy AURORA. Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany
New subscriber - thanks to your great reaction to Aurora's incredible, haunting performance. But since I'm also a huge Angelina Jordan (also from Norway) fan, highly recommend her music as well. And to really appreciate her raw talent, you need to check out her black & white performance of I Put A Spell On You (which she also arranged) - at age 9. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless both Aurora & Angelina.
I feel like it can also be a song about passing on. Someone who has been terminally ill for awhile who has been living on borrowed time is finally embracing crossing over and letting go as they finish reflecting on all the people they have seen and places they've been, and they "feel the light" as they are freed from the pain of their physical form and leave the pain behind.
I don't know who you are.....I just stumbled across this video because I'm a massive massive Aurora fan...or a Warrior & Weirdo, as she calls us. :) But I'm glad I watched this....because I immediately got good vibes from you. And I'm happy on your behalf...that Aurora is new to you. PLEASE do yourself a favor and listen/watch MUCH more of her. She's far and away the most emotionally intelligent human I've ever come across. And very wise, not only for her age...but for any age. I'd LOVE to see you react to more of her stuff... Anything from this very concert is top of my list. But also her "Currents" in studio radio performance of It Happened Quiet. That one is stunning...and is a masterclass in her ability to emote a tremendous depth of feeling with very subtle gestures and expressions. She gets so lost in that song, there's zero separation between her and the song. After that, I have a list of at least 50 songs/videos/performances that are essential. But yeah....that's a lot to throw at someone lol ;P I don't know you....but just based on what I've seen from this video, you seem like the ideal person to get what Aurora is all about. In short, she's an extremely introverted quirky eclectic INFP weirdo and creative genius. lol...that's the quick summary. I love all sorts of music....but mostly wall-of-sound harmonically distorted shoegaze and dream pop....as well as alternative metal like Deftones and Tool. But Aurora holds a very very special place in my heart....she's her own genre entirely. And a big part of that is down to who she is as a person. She's a once in a generation human being....and a true healer, on many levels. Also........................she's absolutely hilarious. She's very smart, and her sense of humor is the best...very quick and witty and dry and slightly dark. I'd watch one of the many Aurora "funny moments" compilation videos on UA-cam to get a good jist of what she's like as a person. Sorry for the rant.....lol I just love telling people about her....especially people who I know would get it on a deep level. If someone offered me $1,000,000 on the one condition that my mind would be wiped clear of any knowledge, past present or future, of Aurora or her music......I would decline the money. Not saying it wouldn't sting....but I'd be stupid to take that deal. Seriously. She's become that important to me and my growth as a human being. Hope that long winded gushing encourages you to explore the very large Aurora universe that's out there....and join the ranks of us Warriors and Weirdos! :)
Nice reaction 🤗 And welcome to Auroras Queendom❤️ She wrote this song when she was 9 years old 😳 A bit info about Aurora: Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer. She plays several instruments like piano, guitar, mandolin and harp (what I know of). She’s born on the 15 of June 1996, she’s from a small place in Os outside of Bergen, and is currently living in her apartment in Bergen 😍 When she was 6 years old she found an electric piano in the attic after her older sister. Because the power button was broken she had to play with only one hand, and she did that for years. She began writing music without lyrics at the age of 6, and with English lyrics at the age of 9. A couple of her songs that she wrote at the age of 9 is some of her most popular songs. They are “Lucky” and “I went too far” Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14 years old. She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano.🤩😍 Could you please react to Aurora with: “Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015 “Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen 2017 This is one of her most important songs “Runaway” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015 She wrote this when she was 11 years old, and this is also one of her most important songs The music video has over 420 million views, but this live performance is much better ✌️🌍❤️
Ooh another new react channel going into Aurora? Must sub. There is so much to go into with Aurora. Her history is rather interesting, happy, but also very sad. She has been through more at her age than most people will deal with in a lifetime. But she is an example of how to move forward in life. There are music artists who are great, and then there are once in a lifetime events that create a special type of person in the world. And sometimes they happen to sing. One of my favorites that she sings is "Little Boy in the Grass" for which she wrote about a close friend she lost in the Norway 2011 terrorist attacks. (She's from Norway) It's not a song most would listen to in particular, but it's an important one to hear at some point simply to understand parts of Aurora's history and who she is. Especially if you dive into the interviews she gives on many of her songs and why she writes them. And how they change for her over time. Really any song from this particular concert at Nidarosdomen is a great way to get into her early stuff. She has many other sounds on many albums, but no matter what style she does, it's all very "Aurora". There are also a few documentaries about her. Definitely worth a watch. And some other channels have watched the whole thing without copyright issues. Aurora herself and her mother both love watching reactors so that might be part of it. Not sure about some of the other studio's she worked with though. Her newer stuff is with a new studio so that might have issues. Anyway, I hope you continue to explore literally anything from Aurora.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts around this beautiful song. When you told about the loss of your stepdad I was thinking about a beautiful song written and performed by Chris Kläfford "Cold at the Altar". Could you react to that song maybe? You know there are so many feelings raging through you when we lose someone we love. To allow yourself _all_ those feelings are so important to be able to move on.
Aurora is a unique artist and a free spirit as a person. Enjoy your journey down her rabbit hole. I suggest you check out another great Norwegian artist, Angelina Jordan who has set a new standard as the most accomplished child vocalist of all time yet most people don't know her yet. She is 16 now and every song she has sung since age 6 is remarkable.
Looks like you were watching the song timestamped from the whole concert. Should probably just do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing (and record and upload it if you're inclined). Thanks for the AURORA reaction!
Nidarosdomen is really named Nidaros domkirke where Nidaros is the old name for Trondheim and domkirke is Norwegian for Cathedral from the original latin Domus Dei (house of god).
we all have scars eveb the earth that was bombarded and destroyed many times think of everthing that had or was destroyed and recreated we are no diffrent than the mountians and what it took to make them. rejoice
Yes, Aurora is really great. Beautiful voice. My friend at work liked Aurora and we'd have battles because I love Sia. Then, I showed him your Iko Iko video and he suddenly grabbed his chest!!! Just kidding🙂🙂🙂
I dont like this concert much because it relies on the chorus and echo, of course it seems epic. But her songs are absolutely beautiful without it. In fact more so with her true emotion behind it. Like eyes of the child vevo version and this lucky version ua-cam.com/video/6YpYgT2B6Hg/v-deo.html. Not as dramatic but her expressions and movements reflect so much emotion. Regardless I love your reaction!! I appreciate your PSA as well, you are very caring. Just realized PSA is kind of crappy, just meant your message!

She is the shildmaiden of Skandinavia,.... godess of nature..
Forgot to suggest someting:
Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen concert or Murder Song from the Nobel Peace Prize concert.
You don't just hear her songs, you feel them. It's pure energy ✨️
In so few words, you say almost everything. Nice.
This performance from Aurora is pure perfection. It makes me cry every time. The entire concert is amazing. Welcome to the Aurora rabbit hole. It is a truely magical place you have discovered. I hope your journey here is long and beautifully strange.

I saw Aurora live back in March. She was amazing.
Beautiful and heartfelt reaction. Thank you.
Thanks for watching 💗
Good choice for a first reaction! It's always make me happy when before discover Aurora for the first time :)!
Aurora is a Norwegian singer, songwriter and producer. She was 21 in this performance and will turn 26 in 2 days (June 15th).

I suggest the a cappella version of "Through The Eyes Of A Child": youtu . be / CFzExUN1N8I
It has amazing harmonies and here is a quote from Aurora about the song:
"Through the Eyes of a Child is one of the most important songs for me.
But yeah....that's a lot to throw at someone lol ;P
I don't know you....but just based on what I've seen from this video, you seem like the ideal person to get what Aurora is all about.
Sorry for the rant.....lol
I just love telling people about her....especially people who I know would get it on a deep level.
Nice reaction 🤗
And welcome to Auroras Queendom❤️
She wrote this song when she was 9 years old 😳
A bit info about Aurora:
Aurora is a Norwegian singer/songwriter/dancer and music producer.
She plays several instruments like piano, guitar, mandolin and harp (what I know of).
She’s born on the 15 of June 1996, she’s from a small place in Os outside of Bergen, and is currently living in her apartment in Bergen 😍
When she was 6 years old she found an electric piano in the attic after her older sister.
Because the power button was broken she had to play with only one hand, and she did that for years.
She began writing music without lyrics at the age of 6, and with English lyrics at the age of 9. A couple of her songs that she wrote at the age of 9 is some of her most popular songs.
They are “Lucky” and “I went too far”
Her family didn’t know about her talent until she was about 13 - 14 years old.
She’s self taught when it comes to singing and playing piano.🤩😍
Could you please react to Aurora with:
“Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015
“Through the eyes of a child” live from Nidarosdomen 2017
This is one of her most important songs
“Runaway” live at the Nobel Peace Prize concert 2015
She wrote this when she was 11 years old, and this is also one of her most important songs
The music video has over 420 million views, but this live performance is much better
✌️🌍❤️
Ooh another new react channel going into Aurora? Must sub.
There is so much to go into with Aurora. Her history is rather interesting, happy, but also very sad. She has been through more at her age than most people will deal with in a lifetime. But she is an example of how to move forward in life. There are music artists who are great, and then there are once in a lifetime events that create a special type of person in the world. And sometimes they happen to sing.
One of my favorites that she sings is "Little Boy in the Grass" for which she wrote about a close friend she lost in the Norway 2011 terrorist attacks. (She's from Norway)
It's not a song most would listen to in particular, but it's an important one to hear at some point simply to understand parts of Aurora's history and who she is.
That's the closest anyone have come to pronounce Nidarosdomen =) ..And after watching it to the end, Loved your reaction
Oh that’s exciting, almost got it first go. Thank you, I really appreciate you watching.
Aurora ❤️
I recommend you to react to "Through the eyes of a child" by Aurora. You will love it.
Thank you, I actually posted my reaction to that earlier this week.
Very good you got the name of the place right
Looks like you were watching the song timestamped from the whole concert. Should probably just do yourself a favor and watch the whole thing (and record and upload it if you're inclined). Thanks for the AURORA reaction!
❤❤❤
Nidarosdomen is really named Nidaros domkirke where Nidaros is the old name for Trondheim and domkirke is Norwegian for Cathedral from the original latin Domus Dei (house of god).
Lovely .
❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching Spiros
@@inbedwithmusic2130 keep going you are amazing woman.
Aurora's Anti-Suicid-Song written in the age of 9. Think about it. Such thoughts with 9
😊👍
Great reaction welcome to a better world and a sub from me stay safe x
we all have scars eveb the earth that was bombarded and destroyed many times think of everthing that had or was destroyed and recreated we are no diffrent than the mountians and what it took to make them. rejoice
Yes, Aurora is really great. Beautiful voice. My friend at work liked Aurora and we'd have battles because I love Sia. Then, I showed him your Iko Iko video and he suddenly grabbed his chest!!! Just kidding🙂🙂🙂
🤣🤣🤣
❤💯😪👍
💗🌈
I dont like this concert much because it relies on the chorus and echo, of course it seems epic. But her songs are absolutely beautiful without it. In fact more so with her true emotion behind it. Like eyes of the child vevo version and this lucky version ua-cam.com/video/6YpYgT2B6Hg/v-deo.html. Not as dramatic but her expressions and movements reflect so much emotion. Regardless I love your reaction!! I appreciate your PSA as well, you are very caring. Just realized PSA is kind of crappy, just meant your message!
I'd say you're LUCKY in BED ;) haha. Sorry I had to
Hahaha maybe I should change the videos title? 😂
