Noor Jehan popularly known as Madam Noor Jehan or malika e tarannum was born in British India but went to Pakistan after the partition. Lata maam was her fan and they were good friends and there's a story that when Lata maam was teen she went to Madam Noor jehan film set in which she was shooting and there madam asked Lata maam to sing and after listening to her she became very happy and declare her superstar of next generation

She was a superstar before partition of India and Pakistan in 1947. After partition and till her passing away in the year 2000, she reigned the music scene of Pakistan. @ActuallyAnanya 10 місяців тому +2

I understood the dialogue completely and still found it lacking. The characterisation is indeed very weak, and in Padmaavat it was even worse. Poetic language shouldn't be used as a justification for weak story writing. Compare both of those films to Jodhaa Akbar. That also uses poetic language (in Hindi and Urdu) but the story and the characterisation are so strong that even those who don't understand the language still connect to it strongly.

I would recommend you to check out
    1. Shafqat Amanat Ali Khans songs, including his band FUZON, the band was basically Rock and Qawalli fusion.
    2. Shiraz Uppals songs from bollywood and his singles, one of the most soulful singer ever in my opinion.
