Wandering Dude. Lol. I like that. That’s what I’m going to start calling that instead of the other name.
Somebody in the comments lobbed me that common name and I ran with it. Hahaha
That made me chuckle too.
That’s funny. My gf’s cousin gave us the plant and says she calls it “wandering dude”, instead.
Initially called wandering Jew, but people have started to take offense to that, so it’s been substituted for wandering dude. You’ll still hear Jew more often.
“Can’t wait for dogs to piss all over my divine creation” 🤣🤣 felt that
Grandmother loved these plants and yeah you can literally throw them in the ground then just water them in for about a week then leave them.
Somebody got a haircut!!! Looks great!!!
Tis the season for cuttings, platings and propagations. Great to see the progress Paul!
I know, I need to start doing a lot more propagation hahaha
Amazing work ethic Paul Plantu 🪴 🌱 🌿 🌾 🌵 🏵 🪴 🌱 🌿 🌾 🌵 🏵 🪴 🌱 🌿 🌾 🌵
Today was an absolute shit show, thank goodness I get to end it on a good note with a Plantu vid. Thanks, Paul! Have a happy healthy new year! 🤣🎉❤️
Haha, glad I could help in whatever way I have! Have a happy new year and leave the shit shows back in 2023!!! 😂
Great use of space love it
Such an impressive plant!
Such a rockstar plant! Love to see it being used in this application 💯
Looking good! I love Tradescantia pallida. Happy Near Year!
Happy new year to you too!!
Can't wait to see them in the summer. Great video
New year, new video.... new haircut!
My grandma always had this purple heart, I love them 💜💜💜
Happy New Year! Love all the pop of the purple color, looks amazing. I know the plant grows fast it’s going to only get better as it spreads.
Not a Wandering Dude, nice yard
This is my “signature plant”! I love her so much. She’s my two favorite colors: green & purple! She’s juicy! She’s happy in lots of sun. She breaks and regrows. I placed her on my dads altar with his military photos and his purple heart and other military medals 🎖️ it always leans towards him too❤
I have purple heart in my beds too!! I got mine from my dad. It'll be beautiful around your hellscape when it's all grown in!
Thanks for the new video. It was good seeing you. Hope the family is well. Take care. Gary, Tucson AZ
Happy new year thanks for the well wishes as always!!
Hi Paul 👋, My son has followed you from day dot and been a huge fan for a long time.... he's introduced you to me, and I just love your ideas and advice. Although I've watched your videos for a long time.... I'm new to subscribing... so here's to you 🥂...thank you ❤ I'll be an avid fan now myself for the long haul ❤🇬🇧❤
Dawg that parple Plantu gonna look sick when filled en. Cuttings=free! I'm sure that parking strip is your property BUT if a tree is near enough, the city should be able to cut it back. Happy New Year!🎉"Urth es ma plont!"
It’s gorgeous
Man, your content is AWESOME!!! I have some of those purple hearts in my flower bed as well. They are very low maintenance, drought tolerant and freeze resistance. Now they will die back if it freezes, but there's not need to worry because once it warms back up, they will simply regrow!!
Love it.
man, I have a ton of wandering jew in a section under the side of a larger bush next to the house. Haven't relocated any since I focusing on more visual lawn than a creeper. Been using more Texas sage and about to plant an Italian cypress close to 3 blue point juniper trees.
Outstanding!!!! I love your show🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thanks mayne!! 🎉
great vid as always dawg
I spent all weekend ripping out English ivy on my wood line so I can plant my native Savanah edge ecotone garden. let's fuckin gooo
Love your videos!!! You provide so much entertaining knowledge ❤
Looks great‼️
Oh my gosh … I’m a Dublin Tx retiree… I just discovered the purple wandering dude 😂 this year!!! I’m still struggling trying to find plants that will take to my dry hot yard !!! I have great expectations for this beautiful plant … And I plan to help it spread all around ! Wish me luck !!!
I’d be interested in any other crazy hardy plants like this purple dude that thrive here ??? ❤❤❤❤
Propagating in Texas will not work. The summer is two dry and hot. You have to start with a fully developed plant in early spring and then water it like mad through the first two summers to get it established enough.
🔥
Totally hope that you'll want some free companions to the purple dudes, like my pink rain lilies, red spider lilies, and red rain lilies.... I'm in Houston.
Email me, my email is in the video description
Love your content. I'm from Houston, and I know that ornimental sweet potato could be used as a groundcover crop. Edible, but the taste depends on many things. Have you tried growing wild violets such as Viola Odorata? They're pernenials and can make up for annuals and/or deciduous landscapes with other qualities included.
No I never heard of them! I’m going to definitely do some research! Thanks for the suggestion
Hey what zone are you in?
Hey Paul, in a few years your purple road strip will be visible on Google Maps/Earth. 😁
I know that’s so cool to think about. It’ll shine for a couple of years until the trees get big and distort the satellite view
🌿🌿
I would’ve given you mine for free . I don’t like them and can’t get rid of them they keep growing back no matter how many times I pull them out lol
Hahaha, they are very prolific to say the least. You just need to dig them out, deeply and or smother the area. Why don’t you like them?
