I catch the night ferry from Valencia to Ibiza with Trasmed. The 'City of Barcelona' is a beautiful ferry, and I imagined it would be full of party-goers heading to Europe's party capital. In reality, there were around 20 passengers, most of whom were truck drivers.

The ship is stunning. A bit like the Stenaline/P&O Belfast to Cairnryan junks we have to put up with. Really needs to be enjoyed and appreciated. Surprised it looks empty. Stay safe Scott and enjoy, most of all wrap up warm.

Another great video Scott, that ferry looks excellent. I am now doing a lot more solo trips myself nowadays since being widowed, and following you has given me not only inspiration for discovering new places but also more confidence travelling on my own. NIGHT BOAT TO BEEEFAAAA
If you did this trip after around May time I am sure it will be lots busier as the islands clubs will be open and the nightlife scene bustling. I love the island of ibiza, I'm not a clubber though, I like it in the quiet season, exploring the beautiful beaches and tiny villages.
This ferry looks excellent, popping it on my 'must try' list x

Very interesting video, I'm going to board on that very same ferry from Valencia to Ibiza with my car for the first time tomorrow night and I do admit being rather nervous.
At that slow speed I suppose that getting dizzy is not very probable, right?

i go over in my motorhome but sleep in it at night crossing and some truckers stay in there cabs to sleep/2 i already hace surfshark

I really enjoy your vids of these often scarcely populated journeys, easy to question the need to burn so much diesel for a handful of people but guess what? Millions of vehicles travel in the UK every day, vehicles with single occupancy that could hold 4-7 people. Just like all 1st world countries. Let's not forget those aeroplane flights that might be less than half or a third full that burn tonnes of high octane fuel. Come on scientists, Star Trek came up with the transporter idea half a century ago, pull your finger out and beam me up!

It's around 40 Euros for the night one but nearby in Denia you can get the Fast Ferry, 2 hours, to Ibiza, 70 Euros.

Flying from Valencia or Barcelona to the Balearic Islands is less of an hour. I would assume that the ferries are more for keep in the move the goods, cars and lorries.
Pepole prefer using the plane to go there.
Very dangerous practice, remember The Herald of Free Enterprise and MS Estonia. Although being in a lower cabin might not be much better, except that the vehicle decks would be sealed.
Be careful of pickpockets targeting tourists in Barcelona. Saw a programme about them a while ago
