I think hes running the same 3 way components as what i just put in mine. Unless theyre the neo's. Im very impressed by them. And so were the guys at the shop where i got everything installed. Gonna go active and add a dsp next... but i need to put some demo vids up on my channel even tho it will do it absolutely no justice.
Beautiful work all around. The stock Honda/Acura amplification/drivers haven’t changed much in almost 20 years and is very weak. I couldn’t talk my grown son into adding even a sub to his ‘20 Civic hatchback. The audio is the only thing that is a let down in new Hondas.

You nailed it. It is true that the vast majority of viewers don’t understand what it takes for a build like this. It took me four months. Four months of sweat, sawdust, back pain, headaches, mistakes, sanding until your fingers bleed, creator’s block, rework, tuning etc. There’s $2k of just raw materials here. Not labor or gear, just raw materials. People overlook this as well.
Cant wait to get my 07 8th gen civic si pounding with bigger bass. Im not going this far tho. I wanna keep my car light enough to take to the track and have fun with it. This type r is sick❤❤❤

It's annoying when people use the term "plexi" to describe acrylic sheet material. Plexiglas was originally clear and is a brand-name for acrylic sheet plastic. Sheet acrylic used today is often not the "Plexiglas" brand. Technically the acrylic sheet material is a synthetic polymer of methyl methacrylate.
Of course he's running that Zapco HDSP -Z16V, there isn't anything else in the world that's on it's level. I've desperately wanted one for years, living in Tasmania makes it hard. What sets it apart you ask? What makes it the world leader? It isn't so much the DSD playback, or 16 channels, or the insane PEQ, no, IT'S THE FACT YOU CAN PLAY A DAMN AUDIO FILE FROM A USE DRIVE. Please, if you know of a DSP on this level, let me know. I just don't get it, these moron manufacturers will create a 4ch amp and give it a DSP and the ability to stream BT, or just a standalone DSP with the same ability to steam BT, but they can't make a DSP with the ability to play WAV sand FLAC from USB? It's beyond completely insane, god it shits me, so this 3 grand DSP is all there is
I don’t condone their marketing tactics, but I have to be honest and say that the gear truly performed. The internals of the amplifiers were also very impressive. I am a repair tech and light duty engineer. I’m not boasting about that, but I do know what it takes to make a good quality amplifier.
Love the whole setup, but he has one wasted channel on the left amp and the same for the right amp, should have added some rear high end coaxials, no time delays and have a high output quadraphonic sound.
@@shawnk4517 I have more power than you do, 3 way focal in the front with 2 way in the back, and one 13W7 sub, so I don’t think you are any better, but you do have a cleaner looking custom install, mine is stock looking, don’t care for the looks, only the loud and clear sound.

Never heard of Critical Mass, so I looked them up, and GOD DAMN! That sub alone is $15k! That sound system probably costs more than the type R
I'm curious as to how much the build cost without the audio equipment.
Well let’s just say it was four months of labor. The gear was already purchased and brought to me. Raw materials was approximately $2k
