Nah, Fury Road edges it out. It's definitely a great movie on its own, though. Wasn't expecting so many quieter moments and dialogue. It worked, though. Wasn't bored for a second.
The final confrontation scene is legitimately one of my favorite scenes ever. Hemsworth fkn kills it, and the writing in the scene is amazing and completely informs and defines the entire trajectory of Furiosa's character arc throughout both movies. Its so good
One of those rare prequels that I consider a masterpiece. A shame we probably won’t get Max Mad: The Wasteland since not many showed up to the theaters for this.
They're absolutely equal for me. Mad Max: Fury Road shows the insanity of the wasteland at break-neck speed, and this movie fleshed out the world more in ways that ended up having me appreciate things in Fury Road even more since I understood the backgrounds of key players. They both tell two stories in my favorite apocalyptic setting. For even more fun and lore, the Mad Max game is peak.
Haven’t seen Fury Road since it came out so I’m not sure if I’d say this one is better than that, but I did really enjoy it. It’s in my top 5 of the year so far
I gotta say, as much a Fury Road is a better packaged movie, I like the stuff going on in Furiosa a lot more. So I think I agree that it's the expanded wasteland goodness. A lot of what I liked about Mad Max 2.
I haven’t gotten to see it yet but I’ve been hearing several people say it’s better than Fury Road at this point and that’s honestly blowing my mind because Fury Road was special. Now I know I HAVE to see this.
It's better than fury road you? Thats a hot take, i can respect it tho
I think so too. Have it on 5/5 on letterboxd and 4.5 for fury road

Yeah hes insane. Furiosa is really good, but Fury Road was almost perfect.

Game absolutely sucks, don't play it
Whether it's better than Fury Road or not, you should see this movie in theaters if still possible, for the engine sounds alone.
For the first time since hitting subscribe, I don't believe you, but that convinced me to check it our for myself
Some person said this movie feels like the 3rd Mad Max in negative way and I gave them hard no. It's more close to the 1st one in so many aspect.
Part 3 of fav albums 2010-2019???????????
Not even George Miller would claim this surpasses fury road
hell yeah
I didn’t know you did movies too! Nice!

@@MattsRandomJourneys yea and it's an extremely hot take
Sure, but I was saying this video isn’t the first time I’ve heard said take. And even if it is a hot take…well, so what? It’s just one person’s take.
Peaked in the middle
The ending fell a bit flat
DROP THE LETTERBOXD
